Secondly, the more failures, the more successful we will be. As the old

saying goes that failure is the mother of success. The more failure we make, the

more successful we will be. If we make many mistakes, then we will learn a lot

from them and will do better when we meet the same kind of problems. This means

we will obtain great success if we meet more failures.

All in all, failure is a bad thing for people, but it is a good chance for

正午十二点。是餐厅业务繁忙的时刻，点餐台前的行色匆匆，熙熙攘攘的七嘴八舌议论着要点些什么来充实午餐，服务员也忙得不可开交，而座位自是在此时显得更加供不应求了。

但是它还是被一双眼睛的目光所占据了，能理解那目光中的无奈和杂交的一点点欣喜，毕竟是轮不到得站着解决一切的地步了。来者是一对母女，那女孩三四岁的样子，头上扎着两根小辫子，穿着一身花裙子，脚上是一双黑色小皮鞋，手紧拉着妈妈的衣摆不放，眼睛四处在张望，她们走到座位前停下了。

妈妈蹲身下来搂着小女孩的肩膀轻轻说道，“宝贝，你先爬上去坐会儿吧，妈妈去买点东西，很快就会回来的。”

小女孩点了点头，然后用双手撑着椅子，吃劲地往上爬，可不管她的身体怎样摆动，都无法找到一个正确的姿势能够使她完成她的动作。她的身体摇摇晃晃，似乎是一个不小心就要掉下来的样子，看得出来这对她来说实在是有一点困难。

“小姑娘”，轻唤着她的是一位坐在不远处的老妇人，卷曲的头发下有一双笑弯了的小眼睛，即使眼睛很小，但仍能看出那目光后的诚挚的心，她正用她和蔼的声音说着，“到奶奶这儿来坐吧，我马上就走了。”言毕，指了指她对面的空位，起身示意小女孩可以坐到那儿去。

女孩望了望她的妈妈，好像在用那双水灵灵的眼睛征求她的同意。

突如其来的好意让妈妈顿时不知所措了，她思考了片刻，还是牵着小女孩的手走了过去并让她坐下，并在她的旁边耳语了几句，接着便离开了。小女孩端正地坐着，用目光打量着这个老妇人，但却一直一言未发，静静地等待着那个本该坐在她面前的人。旁边人来人往，却没有人会认为这一老一小从不相识，倒像是老奶奶和自己的孙女了。

十几分钟后，小女孩的眼睛里闪出了一丝喜悦，不远处她的妈妈正朝她挥手。

老妇人便也起身离开了。小女孩和妈妈也朝她道了谢，并微笑示意。

妈妈坐下后对小女孩说：“妈虽教过你不可随意跟陌生人打交道，但面对这世界的一切，你还应怀着一颗感恩的心，把世界想得美好了，它才真的是美好了。”我相信小女孩再遇到那位老妇人的可能性很小，相认的可能性更小。可是何必要相认呢？小女孩会记得曾经有一位素不相识的老妇人让出她对面的座位，老妇人也会记得她曾与一位小姑娘同坐一张桌子。

我们虽然不能肯定每一张面孔之后的那个真实的身影是毫无恶意的，因为在每个人的心中还有一个词汇叫做“戒备”。但是仍有一个可以打破这个潜意识的常规的词叫“感恩”。人心就像是一面镜子，将自己的镜子擦透擦亮后便能反射出更明亮的光线。我们在面对陌生和未知时更应存的是一颗感恩的心，用感恩才能换得人间的美好。

[初中生作文面对陌生请心怀感恩

（1）以单数名词或代词，动词不定式短语作主语时，谓语动词要用单数;主语为复数时，谓语用复数，例如：

He goes to school early every morning.

The children are playing outside.

To work hard is necessary for a student.

（2）由and或both……and连接的并列成分作主语时，谓语动词用复数。例如：

Both he and I are right.

Mr Black and Mrs Black have a son called Tom.

但并列主语如果指的是同一人，同一事物或同一概念，谓语动词用单数。例如：

His teacher and friend is a beautiful girl.

The poet and writer has come.

（3）由and连接的并列单数主语之前如果分别由each, every修饰时，其谓语动词要用单数形式。例如：

In our country every boy and every girl has the right to receive education.

Each man and each woman is asked to help.

（4）主语是单数时，尽管后面跟有 but ,except, besides, with 等介词短语，谓语动词仍用单数。例如：

The teacher with his students is going to visit the museum.

Nobody but two boys was late for class.

Bread and butter is a daily food in the west.

（5） 一些只有复数形式的名词，如people, police, cattle, clothes等作主语时，谓语动词要用复数。例如：

A lot of people are dancing outside.

The police are looking for lost boy.

（6）由each, some, any, no, every 构成的复合代词作主语时，谓语动词都用单数。例如：

Is everybody ready?

Somebody is using the phone.

（7）有两部分构成的物体的名词，如glasses, shoes, trousers, chopsticks, scissors 等作主语时，谓语动词用复数。例如：

Where are my shoes? I can’t find them.

There are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. It was also a time for the ancient Chinese to pray to heaven and earth that there would be a bountiful harvest. Many people hoped for good luck as well for the coming year.

农历十二月初八是中国的传统节日——腊八节，腊代表中国农历的十二月，而八是eight的发音，因此，这个节日被翻译成腊八。关于腊八起源的传说有很多，我们已经不能辨其真假。时至今日，我们确定的是这个节日起初是为了祭祀祖先，祈求丰收以及为即将来到的一年祈福。

Traditionally, the Laba rice porridge is the most important element of the festival. Generally, the porridge contains eight ingredients which can include glutinous rice, red beans, millet, Chinese sorghum, peas, dried lotus seeds and some other ingredients, such as dried dates, chestnut meat, walnut meat, almond, peanut, etc. The porridge must be boiled for many hours and then offered as a sacrifice to the ancestors. This must be done before noontime. Also, it is tradition that family members eat the porridge together. Then they leave some as a symbol of hope for a good harvest the coming year.

从传统上讲，腊八粥是腊八节最重要的元素。腊八粥通常由八种材料做成，这些材料可以是黏米，红豆，小米，高粱，豌豆，莲子和一些诸如红枣，栗子，核桃仁，杏仁，花生等谷物。粥要熬制数小时，然后作为祭品祭献给祖先。这个祭祀活动一定要在中午之前完成。之后，家人们坐在一起吃腊八粥也就成了传

Another custom is the soaking of Laba garlic. Garlic is soaked in vinegar for more than twenty days starting from Laba festival. Then when the Chinese New Year comes, the garlic and vinegar is used alongside jiaozi on the table.

腊八节的另一传统式腌制腊八蒜。从腊八节那天起，就将蒜泡在醋中二十多天，这样，到春节的时候，就可以在餐桌上与饺子同食了。

I think my father is a kind man， he love help people， and always forget to do something for himself. He has a good sence of humor， yes， I like that. That always make us happy.

Dear Mike,

How are you? Im really glad that you are interested in traditional Chinese

festivals. There are many traditional festivals in China, such as Spring

Festival, Mid-Autumn Day and so on. Id like to introduce the Spring Festival to

you. Spring Festival is the most important traditional holiday in China. It

usually lasts for 15 days.

Days before the festival, people clean their houses. They think cleaning

sweeps any bad luck. They decorate their houses with paper cuts. On the eve of

the festival, family members get together and have big meals. Then they watch

the Spring Festival Gala on TV. At midnight, they set off fireworks to welcome

the New Year. During the festival, kids get lucky money from old people. People

visit their relatives and friends. They wish each a happy year and good luck.
