Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thanks for your coming, I fell so happy , I have this chance to stand there

to share my ideas about my hometown with you all.

A culture creats a city, the water and soil bring up the people. At the

foot of Erlang mountain, in the middle of Sichuan province, lies a small town

named Tian Quan. I am proud to say: it is my hometown.

Wherever I go, Tian Quan stays in my deep memory forever. I can not forget

the place where I was born and grow up, I can not forget the place where

surrounded by green mountains and water, I can not forget the good and honest

people who working hard in there, I can not forget every river, every street

there.

Standing at the top of the WenBi mountain, you will catch a bird’s eye view

of the whole Tian Quan. You will find it is a beautiful picture including the

mordern colour and old smell.

Looking at the lovly provious animals , such as panda, Takin, Golden

monkey. You will thinks the nature has special power to make life so

wonderful.

My hometown has a long history of culture. There is the

tea-horse-accient-way, which attracts Chinese and foreign tourists to visit .

Walking on the tea-horse-accient-way, you can’t help sign in regret how long our

culture is!

Tian Quan is also famous for it’s culture of tea. In summer , the farmers

work on the tea plantations, you will regard it as a lively picture. If you have

a chance to work on the tea plantations, you can’t miss it! You can enjoy the

tea and learn more about tea at the same time .How wonderful it is!

I want to say a song for my hometown, but I don’t know what kinds of music

is fit for her, I want to write a poem for her, but I don’t know what words can

describe her.

Everyday is a new beginning , put you hands together , give a smile to the

land, say a words to Tian Quan : you will in my heart , forever.

dear teacher ,

i am writing to you to express my thanks for your help in learning english

and speaking english.

during these days in your class, i have learned much from you and it is

very helpful to me. firstly, you let me know what is the west thinking

pattern—straight thinking pattern. and, i think, it is very important to

understand the west’s thoughts. as you know, this can help me with my

examination and interaction with foreigners. secondly, i have got enough

confidence in speaking in english from your class and it took me a long time to

gain this confidence. now, i always express my ideas in english as possible as i

can. it’s great to do that. the last not the least, i find that learning english

is not an boring thing as before and i’m interested in studying english which

was just a necessary task to pass examinations. reading, listening or speaking

all become interesting and i really enjoy it.

I have many good teachers, but my favourite teacher is Miss Li. SW he is a

very good teacher.

She is very young, but her English is very good. She teaches us English

every day. Her class has so much fun.She sings songs with us, plays games with

us. We are so happy . And we learn English well. Our English are very very

There was once a little girl that wanted to live in peace, but she couldn’t

since her house or should I say family is very, very poor.

One day the little girl called Anna went to pick mushrooms in the forest

with her friends. She picked plenty of mushrooms and walked deep into the

forest. It gradually became dark, and Anna wanted to go home, she called her

friends; but they were nowhere to be found. She wanted to go home on her own,

she walked and walked into the forest; it seemed as if it had no end. At last,

she found a tiny little house, Anna walked close to it.

She knocked at the door but there was no answer, she knocked again, but

there was still no answer; at last she quietly opened the door, and inside she

found a warm fire place. She walked to the fire place, and sat there. Before one

minute, a bear walked in, he saw Anna; and said, “What are you doing in my

house?” “My name is Anna, and I am lost…” “Oh,” said the bear, “In that case you

can stay here; but you must prepare the food and dust the house in return…”

One day Anna baked a tray of apple tarts, she put them in a big basket and

said to the bear; “Oh bear, could you deliver these apple tarts to my parents?”

“You have done a great job so I will agree: I shall send these apple tarts to

your parents. I’ll just fetch my walking stick and head out immediately…”

“Remember bear, if you eat one tart, I shall know immediately;” the bear went to

fetch his walking stick, in the meantime;Anna hid herself in the basket, and the

bear set off from home.

He walked a distance and said to himself, “I shall eat one apple tart;”

suddenly he heard Anna’s voice saying, “Big bear I’ve caught you!” “Oh my, oh

my!” cried the bear, “I had better walk a while before eating any of the tarts…”

As he said that, the bear started off again. After he was far from home, he

said; “I shall rest here, and in the meantime eat one apple tart…” Suddenly he

heard Anna’s voice saying again, “Big bear; I’ve caught you again!” “Oh my, oh

my!” cried the bear, “That girl must have magic eyes!” then he started off once

again.

When he at last reached his journeys end, he placed the basket in front of

Anna’s front door, and walked away from home. When Anna’s mom and dad opened the

door, they saw Anna jump out from the basket and running to them. There was no

chance of saying how happy they were!

my father is a nice man. he likes to play computer games. he is an owner of

a factory which produces many things .he is good at designing. he works very

hard. i love him very much because, sometimes, i can help him to do something in

his factory .he is always on business trips because he has his business

everywhere so it takes up too much of his time .

therefore, he doesn’t have any time to play with me but i don’t blame him

for that. i often spend a lot of my time on the computer, so i have something to

do. my mother is usually on the phone and tells my father to get home early but

my father doesn’t listen to her. so my mother and i sometimes are upset and i

don’t like my father in a sense that he always gets home late.

i love my father but not his job!

Los Angeles is a beauliful city.There are blue sky green grass.Grass fields

were intermixed with areas of woodland.We walked across the springy grass.l like

here.

I went to a lot of place Disnep`s park and Hollywood.This summer holiday l

made some new friends. Do you know who they are?Let me tell you：they are my

favorite books ,l like books very much .I like reading science books, English

books, Chinese books, cartoon books and so on .Not only let me know how

wonderful the word is but also teach me how to be a good person in the society

,they give me great pleasure .So l love book very much.

I had a happy summer holiday with my books . How about your holiday. Los

yesterday my mother and i went to the east lake about 40 kilometreseast of

the city. i had a good time there.

we left home at seven oclock in the morning, and it took us about an hour

to drive there. then we got to the lake. oh, how large the lake was!there were

many green trees and red flowers around it. we got on a small boat and rowed it.

the sky was clear and the breeze touched our faces softly. i sang while rowing

When we talk about dreams,we are so excited.We all have our own dreams,some

scientists.However,not all dreams can come true,as people always give them up

for some reason.

A dream is to a man what wings are to a bird. With a dream in the deep

heart`s core, a man is spontaneously driven to hitch his wagon to a star. A

dream is an inexhaustible source of energy that keeps our enthusiasm burning,

and kindles our desire to enhance our spiritual cultivation, refine our

character, and upgrade our quality of life. A life without a dream is like a

bird with broken wings, confined to a cage and oblivious of what lies beyond the

range of its vision. On the contrary, a man with a dream is like a warrior armed

with ambition, foresight and gallantry, daring to step into an unknown domain to

make a journey of adventure. It is dream that adds fullness, variety, and spice

to our life and makes it worth living.

I would like to take Liu Xiang as an example.Liu,as the first chinese man

to win an Olympic track and field medal,dreamed of defending his Olympic title

on home soil.To achieve this dream,he was bathed with sweat on the training

ground every day.What’s more,now and then he suffered injuries.However,neither

the injury nor the pressure has prevented him from striving to achieve the

goal.Eventually,he kept or even renewed his record in the men’s 110-meter hurdle

with his perseverance.

It is true that barriers may sometimes stand in the way of your dreams,but

remember success is hiding behind them.Instead of making dozens of excuses for

your failure,just think about Liu Xiang’s story,hold on your dreams and never

give up.

If you do not want your dreams to come to naught,then hold fast to your

dreams and never give up.Just as the saying goes,”Do not,for one repulse,forgo

the purpose that you resolved to effect.”

If you can do the following points,your dreams will come true one

day.First,plant your dream in a fertilized soil.Second,water it with your

diligence and give it the best food----knowledge.Third,remove the seeds of

unhappiness for they can destory your dream.The most important is let the seed

of your dream enjoy the beautiful sunshine,so what it can grow well.And however

hard the situation is,o not give it up and always give it your best care.Then

you will get a good harvest in the end.

Dreams are what we pursue for a lifetime,with many dreams,we have

motivation to fight for our life.The opposite side of dream is reality.We have

to face reality everyday,reality is what we perceive in our life.Reality always

frustrates us to be successful.We need to balance them.

A little boy wanted to read a book, but he had no money; he decided to earn

some in return. But he had nothing to do, and so he just had to stay at home

just like usual life; he was very sad.

Suddenly, a strange thing took place, and he began to make use of something

that he wanted to try. After a short time, he came back from the basement with a

ruffled shovel in his hand. When it was time to finish the work that he was to

earn money, he smiled happily.

His work was to shovel snow for the other neighbors in the winter, because

most of the times when snow was very, very big; some of the house doors got

block, and they need to pay $100 for a builder to come and shovel the snow out

of way. But now the boy will help shovel the snow, and they need only to pay $10

in return. At first the boy was not good at it at all, but soon he got the use

of it, and earned lots of money. When it was time to use the money, he figured

that he didn’t have enough to pay for the grammar book that he wanted for

school. It was not that big of a deal of very much; but was not quite things of

time.

He kept on this work for 4 years, until he had finally got enough money to

buy the grammar. He was so very excited, that he jumped about in the room from

brick to brick. When he went to the store, he figured it was closed; all the

grammars are sold out, but in the other hand in opened because he shoveled the

snow away which let him get enough money to buy another grammar in another

store.

It was almost summer and the snow melted away, a statue of him was made up

in the town square where he lived; for making the snow disappear. He was also

the first in the class every morning, because he was willing to learn some

identities to learn grammar. He loved grammar. And when it was time for him to

head home and buy another harder one; he used the same plan just a little

better.

And when people saw his statue shimmering in the morning sunlight, they

would remember his gratitude for everybody in the town.

It was a “Magnificent” day; it was already beheld the shoveling day.

In my life, Ms. Wang is the most important person to me. Her teaching

skills are diverse. In class, she usually uses games and posters. She works hard

for us. When other teachers rest, she still keeps working and working. When we

are mischievous, she is good at giving systematic guidance.

We are really grateful for what she has done for us. We want to say ”thank

you” to her.

My school is Tailan primary school, Thats a good place, this is a

beautiful school.

There are many flowers, many classrooms, many leaves, many offices, a large

hall, a playground in our school, in the playground we can run and play. Also

there is a garden in my school, many flowers and trees in it, we often walk in
