Thank you for taking the time to write your wonderful letter in support of MCEA (Maywood Chinese Education Association). Your letter clearly articulates all the major reasons children in Maywood will benefit from studying the Chinese language as part of their elementary school education. It provides invaluable support that will help making bilingual Chinese education a reality in Maywood public schools.

Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest. The main importance of goal setting is that it provides us with direction and purpose. Good morning, everyone! I am glad to be here for this interview. First, let me introduce myself to you. My name is Qin Jiayin. I was born on April 23, 1981. I am a local person.I am graduating from Jilin Normal University this June. I major in Chinese literature. Reasons for taking postgraduate exams:

First of all, I love my major. Chinese literature is the symbol of the start of Chinese literary modernization. It plays an important part in modernization of our citizens’ thoughts. What’s more, modern literature is very close to our daily life and it can deeply reflect the styles and features of our society. I am fascinated by the great masters’ refreshing or warm or profound styles as well. But I am not easily satisfied with such superficial knowledge. I hope I could have a better understanding in modern literature by studying further. This is a very important reason for me to take the postgraduate exams.

Next, I love the feeling in the university. It is full of youthful spirit. And I am deeply attracted by the scholarly atmosphere. And the most important, it’s my great honor to open my ears to your teaching.Finally, I want to talk about a very practical problem. That is my dream of becoming a teacher in the university. 今天老师给我们上了一堂关于我们男生的讲座。老师告诉我们每个人都有四个阶段，儿童期，青春期，成年期，老年期，在青春期我们等嗓子可能出现一个包这就是喉结出现喉结后我们要少吃辣，也不能大声说话否则喉结会伴随我们一生。十到20是儿童到成年的过渡期在这期间会出现遗精千万不要担心自己得了什么病。也不要担心自己尿了床，反而会被别人笑话。这是青春期常有的现象。

我们还要保护自己的生殖器。不要遭受外界的碰撞，万一生殖器掉进了肚子里，我们要使劲的跳，把生殖器调到原位后在跑去找医生。

听了这次这次讲座，使我对“健康”有了重新的认识，在日常的生活我们往只关注身体健康，事实上除了身体的健康，更应该关注心理的健康。

When cellphone became popular many years ago, parents and school at first

banned students to take cellphone into classroom, but now, even the small child

has owned a cellphone. The use of cellphone cant be banned. For students, they

get used to keeping cellphone at hand, but the overuse of it can be blamed to

Also it’s a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make a good performance today. The topic of my speech is “After studying here”.

Before I came here，I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge about other countries， which can‘t be got from my books in school. Three months ago， I took my first class. Unfortunately， I felt so embarrassed， because I even can’t speak any words， though I know I really love English .

After that， I took some of my tutor‘s advice and previewed the lesson that I’ll learn. What‘s more， In every class， I JUST try my best to say as much as possible. Now，I can only remember It’s a really hard time. What‘s worse， I had to go to my high school and went there at the same time.
