Nowadays, the world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. Recently,haze weather has become a usual phenomenon here in large part of China. People are forced to wear the mask to avoid breathing poisonous air. 1996年1月通过调查发现，到目前为止我省有野生动物476种。其中：爬行类3目四科16种两栖类2目6科11种、鸟类19目57科361种、兽类6目21科88种。分布在我省的东北虎、金钱豹、原麝等珍稀动物的分布区明显缩小、数量显著减少，而原在我省分布的镰翅鸡已确定在我省绝迹。可喜的是，这次野生动物资源调查又发现了中介蝮、黄腹山雀等21种生物在我省的新分布。其中：兽类1种、鸟类19种、爬行类1种。

今天，我读了《白耗牛》一书，受益匪浅。《白耗牛》讲述的是这样一个故事：在一个牧场里，丢失了一只珍贵的耗牛。这时，个叫贡嘎的学生，要为玛尔吉阿婆找回这只白耗牛。他翻山越岭终于从一个守林人那里了解到白耗牛被偷到了长岭山的牧场，还得知牛贩子康劳要杀白耗牛。他只身勇闯虎穴，终于从康劳的手里抢回了白耗牛。

读了这个故事，我想：“连个学生都能这样为国家保护珍贵动物，而现在很多人却随便捕杀野生动物，破坏环境，使动物们生存受到了威胁。”

我曾在电视上看到这样组镜头：非洲草原土，横七竖八地躺着被割去象牙的非洲象，周围一片鲜血;一条肮脏的冒着白泡的河流中，漂着一条一条死鱼;还有被关在笼中的猴子……

记得有一次，爸爸带我们到饭店吃饭，我忽然看见了饭店一角关着两只山甲，鱼池里还有中华鳃，这些可是国家保护动物啊!怎么能被吃掉呢?

这不禁让我回想起了我看过的一部纪实影片：一只活泼可爱的小猴子被关到了一个特别的笼子里，只露出一个脑盖来，侍者拿出锤子对着脑盖敲了几下，小猴的脑盖便开了，而那些可恶的客人竟然用热水烫过的勺子舀着猴脑吃保护动物作。小猴在那里大声惨叫着……

这是为什么?人类本应与自然和谐共处，但有些人却为了金钱，不择手段，屠杀手无寸铁的动物。从此，大自然的生态平衡被破坏了。

地球已经千疮百孔了，如果我们人人都像贡嘎一样，那么很多珍稀的动物也不会灭绝，动物们也不会向人们苦苦哀求了!
