With the coming of national day, I have a one week holiday. I really expect

to it, because it want to have a short trip during these days. I will travel to

Jiuzhai Valley with my parents for three days. I have heard that the scenery of

Jiuzhai Valley is very beautiful in autumn that it’s the best time to travel

成吉思汗

Genghis Khan, "Khan of Khans", was the great leader of Mongolians. At the

end of 12th century, he united Mongolian tribes and challenged other powers to

expand his huge Mongolian empire, which extended from South China to the Caspian

Sea.

In 1277, Khan attacked the West Xia Kingdom (presently Ningxia) and

encountered strong resistance. He died of disease and age. The great emperor was

later buried secretly according to Mongolian custom. It says that after the

burial 2,000 men were slaughtered by some 800 soldiers who were in turn executed

so that the location of the real tomb remains a secret.

There are four sacrifice ceremonies held annually to commemorate the great

hero and leader of the Mongolian people. The ceremony, held on March 21st on

lunar calendar, is the grandest. After the ceremony, horse racing, archery and

wrestling are held as entertainment.

My name is Jim and I have a strong body because I often play sports. I love

sports, and exercise makes me a healthy body. My favorite sport is playing

basketball, and I worship Jordan very much because he plays basketball well.

replied the boy jumping happily, “But my parents won’t buy me one. It is at the

Marlin was very sad, but also wanted to try, for he was the king of

everything, and helps save the day. He ran to his house, and counted his money,

but found out that he only had $10. He was now very, very angry. He had decided

to earn more and more money, and so to help that poor little boy. As he had

promised, he worked very hard to earn money. Although he was just a little boy,

he ought to do what he had said; for those are the rules. And when he had enough

money, he would buy the music box, and hand it to that poor boy.

Marlin did anything he could to earn money: Sweep the floor, clean his

room; grow plants, water them, and cut flowers for the house. When he had

already $90, he had decided to help other people. When it was already winter, he

took a shovel and helped his neighbors, friends to shovel snow; and they paid

him a great deal of money.

At last, Marlin had got enough money; he was so excited that he hopped here

and there ten times! Finally, he went to the store near Sunshine school, and

bought the music box, and then handed it to the same boy at his home. Marlin

soon became famous, and he was called, ‘Marlin Blavatsky.’

My family lives on this street. In the morning, my father goes to work and

all the children go to school. My mother takes us to school everyday. She does

the housework. She always has her lunch at home, and sees her friends in the

afternoon. In the evening all the children come home from school. They always

get home early. My father goes home from work and he is often late. After supper

my two brothers and I do our homework. We go to bed at ten.

I have a good friend， and her name is Li Mei. We know each other about two

years. When I am in trouble， she helps me without hesitation. So I will also

help her when she meets difficulty. We share our secrets and sometimes she will

stay the night with me. We will talk very happily and go to sleep very late.

I like dogs， because they are mans good friends. They can do many helpful

things to us， such as guarding our houses， greeting guests， helping the police，

and so on. Some trained dogs can even lead the blind people and save peoples

lives. So theyre treated as our family members. I hope someday dogs will be in

great harmony with human-beings.

There is a lovely teacher in our class. We like him as our friends. We

There was once a little boy that wanted to be a good captain, but he knew

that he was too poor to do that. So he made up a plan to go a world called

Penny. It was a funny name but he didn’t mind. He also thought that his family

wouldn’t let him to go on such a long trip, for Penny that world was a

hundred100 miles more away. It was a very, very long journey for a boy only 10

years old to do.

He insisted that he would go away on a night when nobody could find him, so

he set off on a day in March, 1981. He got his purse, starting his journey with

bare feet. On his way, he met a little girl wishing so much for money. He picked

up his purse, but found out that he had but only a little bit of copper coins,

which was not enough for her.

He stopped a while for about 10 days to find a job to earn money. He was

always kind, and was willing to help others when they were in need. At last he

got 100 cents which were 100 silver coins, then he sent the little girl the

coins wealthily. However, he still kept the copper coins in emergencies.

After two more days of journey, he arrived at a place where it was icy and

cold. He knew that he couldn’t make it to Penny in time, so he made a

comfortable shelter to stay in until spring. He started off in 1982. When he at

last reached Penny, he found a good job, and paid it off with the copper

coins.

He preferred the money to his whole family. He got $100 for the kind people

who helped him when he was in trouble as a return. It was good that nobody ever

questioned him where he was that whole time when he went back; but he was still

glad that he could help his family. When he recovered, he felt a little bit sad,

and lay down. The next morning when his parents came into his recovering house

to take him home to rest, they found his two hands clasped on his white covered

sheet bed, as if he had been dead.

His parents were shocked; they knew that it was the boy’s last sleep, they

cried bitterly all night long, while there was still a smile on the hero’s

face.

last term we had a sports meeting . It has last for a day. I think it’s

funny, just like a game.

First is running. And the other part is jumping. The meeting is very

exciting. I watched the running match, but I didn’t watch the jumping match.

What a pity!
