People always say that we should not judge a person from his appearance. In

todays society, the mass media is like the appearance, what they report will

decide the way that people treat things. For most foreigners, before they come

to China, they dont know about this country. What they learn is from the mass

media, the worse thing is that the media always report the negative sides. So

when they come to China and realize things are much funny here. Before we make

judgment, we need to search the overall information, or it is better for us to

pay a visit. The way we treat things decides what kind of person we are.

However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes.

This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April. The tradition eventually spread to England and Scotland in the eighteenth century. It was later introduced to the American colonies of both the English and French. April Fools Day thus developed into an international fun fest, so to speak, with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.

In Scotland, for example, April Fools Day is actually celebrated for two days. The second day is devoted to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. It is called Taily Day. The origin of the "kick me" sign can be traced to this observance.

Mexicos counterpart of April Fools Day is actually observed on December 28. Originally, the day was a sad remembrance of the slaughter of the innocent children by King Herod. It eventually evolved into a lighter commemoration involving pranks and trickery.

Pranks performed on April Fools Day range from the simple, (such as saying, "Your shoes untied, or I accidentally stepped on your glasses!), to the elaborate. Setting a roommates alarm clock back an hour is a common gag. Whatever the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, "April Fool!"

Practical jokes are a common practice on April Fools Day. Sometimes, elaborate practical jokes are played on friends or relatives that last the entire day. The news media even gets involved. For instance, a British short film once shown on April Fools Day was a fairly detailed documentary about "spaghetti farmers" and how they harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees.

April Fools Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. Its simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

首先，我先派半瓶的防蚊液，前去“防守阵地”，再留一盏电蚊香和两片蚊香贴做“援军”。“敌军”来了，虽然我不见其身，但却闻其声，听这些声音，好像只有几只的样子，但我不会被它们的“外表”所欺骗，它们一定后面还有着“千军万马”。它们慢慢地前进着，我屏住呼吸，在“阵地”里听着声音。“嗡嗡嗡”的声音慢慢变小了起来，越往后声音越小，最后，这个声音没了。看来，它们都被封堵在防蚊液里了。

正当我以为我可以睡觉了的时候，一阵熟悉的声音在我耳边响起，这声音，不又是那可恶的蚊子吗？我心里很清楚，要与那“敌兵”来一个正面对决了。我打开了灯，只见那蚊子正停在墙面上歇脚，我右手拿着蝇拍，左手持防蚊喷雾，以迅雷不及掩耳的速度，将它拍于蝇拍下，喷于喷雾前。终于消停了，终于可以睡觉了！

所以说，跟蚊子做斗争，不仅需要敏捷的反应力，还要有智慧！

那天过后，我明白原来青春不是那么不羁的所谓的成熟，青春只是一份坦然。

如今，穿着衬衫的我，高举着那些错误，一遍一遍告诉自己：我与青春的战争还未结束，但是我赢了。

本来应该是一个美丽而又温馨的家庭，却变成了一个悲伤的历史；本来应该美丽的火车站却变成了一片废墟，显得格外荒凉。天空闪过一道闪电，雷声愤怒的响起，好像在说：日本鬼子真可恶，杀了这么多人。大大小小的石块下，不知有多少人在这里丧失了生命。这时，来了一个鬼子军官，满脸长着豆子，嘴脸凶恶，眼神好像能把人吓死，这人手握一把军刀，挥刀要砍死小孩，“砰”的一声响，鬼子被打死了。原来是八路军叔叔来了，他把小孩带走了。突然他挣脱了八路军叔叔的手，看着大废墟，。他看着妈妈的尸体，她好像睡着了，睡的那么安静。自己的父母，就这样被死神夺走了生命，他再也没有妈妈了，我通过这一事件知道了战争的残酷。

小男孩通过努力的学习，终于成为国家的栋梁，把日本侵略者赶出了中国。

在1837年8月28日，一个小孩和他的父母一起走在路上，他们要去干什么呢？原来他们是要坐火车去拜访亲戚啊，他们走进火车站那，火车站那人山人海，十分拥挤，他们好不容易找到了个座位坐下了。

在他们等火车的时候，空中不知不觉来了几架轰炸机，这一幕恰好被小孩儿看透了，可小孩儿因为没看见过轰炸机，也不知道这是用来干什么的，就很兴奋，兴奋得跳了起来，她的妈妈看见他这么兴奋，以为她是因为要坐火车而兴奋的。就不以为然。

突然一发炸弹轰了下来。死了一大群人，人们飞也似地开始逃亡，场面极度混乱，简称日本敌机又是一顿狂轰滥炸。与此同时，在逃亡过程中，小孩儿的母亲被人流冲散了。小孩儿的父亲急急忙忙把小孩藏到了一个安全的地方，紧接着又火急火燎起身去找小孩儿的母亲的。经过了几个小时的连番轰炸，小孩儿的衣服早已因为破损的炸弹蛋片儿变得破烂不堪，而且小孩儿的父母很高兴的在这场轰炸中被炸死了，火车站附近的桥梁被炸得破烂不堪，现在的火车站已经变成了一片废墟，小孩儿一个人坐在地上，无依无靠，穿着破烂不堪的衣服嚎啕大哭。这一切都是因为什么战争，战争经历了这场轰炸的人一定都很渴望和平，厌恶战争，他们肯定都在想为什么要有战争，如果没有战争的话就不会死那么多人了。

我希望以后的世界是和平的，美好的，没有战争硝烟。

1、实事求是
