这一天上数学课时，老师告诉我们11月18日学校要举办运动会，我们的心都已经飞到外面了。运动会前一天我很早就睡觉，可是翻来覆去还是睡不着，真希望明天能赶快到来。

最引人注目的是1500米长跑。运动员已经站在了起跑线上，有的在做热身运动，甩甩胳膊，踢踢腿;有的摩拳擦掌，像一位正准备接受严格训练的解放军战士一般;有的表情严肃紧张，已经做好起跑的姿势，随时准备飞奔而出;还有的非常悠闲地在和旁边的同学谈天呢，好像冠军非他莫属似的。

随着“叭”的一声枪响，运动员们如离弦的箭飞奔出去。刚开始，他们都铆足了劲抢内道。渐渐地，便拉开了距离。我们班的跑步健将杨竹天居然落在了后面!这让我们的一颗心都揪了起来。“加油呀!”“加油!”场外啦啦队的喊声一阵高过一阵。已经第三圈了，运动员们的体力消耗很大，可仍然都在坚持着。他一直不紧不慢地跑着，可到了第四圈，她突然开始爆发——用力地甩着胳膊迈开大步，飞速地向前冲，竟然一下超过了四个选手名列第三。此时，她成了全场瞩目的焦点，所有人的目光都集中在她身上。场内形势空前紧张，场外的观众都拼了命地为本班队员加油，助威声震耳欲聋。还有20米，10米，5米……她不负众望，用她的无敌飞毛腿赢得了冠军。同学们将她抛向天空，表达满心的喜悦。
