中庭地白树栖鸦，冷露无声湿桂花……终于到了我期盼已久的中秋节了。每逢农历八月十五日，是传统的中秋佳节。这时是一年的中期，所以被称为中秋。在中国的农历里，一年分为四季，每季又分为孟、仲、季三个部分。因而中秋也称仲秋。八月十五日的月亮比其他几个月的满月更圆，更明亮，所以又叫“月夕”、“八月节”。此夜，人们仰望天空如玉盘的朗朗明月。自然会期盼家人团聚。远在他乡的游子，也借此寄托自己对故乡和亲人的思念之情。所以，中秋又称团圆节。

我家过中秋节，只需要准备柚子、莲藕、还有月饼。可爸爸妈妈告诉我，在其它的地方可是有“秋暮夕月”的活动。夕月，祭拜月神。还要设大香案，摆上月饼、西瓜、苹果、红枣、李子、葡萄等祭品。其中月饼和西瓜是绝对不能缺少的。还有的地方很讲究，西瓜都要切成莲花形。在月亮下，将月亮神像放在月亮的那个方向，红柱高燃。全家人依次祭拜月亮，然后将由家庭主妇切开团圆月饼。家庭主妇要预先算好全家人共有多少人，在家的，在外地的，都要算在一起。不能切多，也不能切少，而且大小要一致。

今天是重阳节，是全中国各地老人的节日，为了让老人健康快乐，所以我决定去看看。

农历八月十五，是我国一年一度的中秋节，各家各户都会坐在自家院子里赏月，我家也不例外!

到了中秋节晚上，我期盼已久的赏月环节终于到了。我瞧见每家每户都张灯结彩，门口上挂着各种各样的灯笼，有方形的，有心形的，还有小船形的……我闻到了从厨房里飘出了一阵香味，连忙帮爸爸妈妈把家里所有好吃的食物都拿出来，把桌子都摆慢了，有各式各样的月饼，和酸甜可口的水果，还有一大盘香喷喷的田螺和芋头。我们一家人围着桌子坐在鱼池旁，边吃月饼边赏月。

我抬头看向天空，看到一轮皎洁的明月嵌在了乌黑乌黑的夜空上，明月里好像有一只小白兔和嫦娥姐姐的身影，她们此时犹如在向我们招手呢，这然我想起古代流传的一个故事：嫦娥奔月。

寒假的一天

到了晚上，我和妈妈。姐姐就分工合作。我打车去提爸爸单位发的一盒月饼，而姐姐去拿要用的东西。妈妈在去买一些月饼，我们大家都商量好了半小时后在重百超市集合。我提着月饼早早的就到了目的地，过了一会姐姐也来了，我们就站在外面等妈妈，可我们等了十几分钟都还不见妈妈的影子，我们的心早就飞到了外婆家了，我们实在是等不了啦!我和姐姐商量我进去找妈妈，她在外面看好东西。

我爱您的勇敢顽强，面对日本帝国主义的残酷欺凌，面对国内战争的疯狂迫害，使母亲您贫困交加，遍体鳞伤。但您没有倒下，而是坚强的面对，终于在1949年10月1日，新中国成立了，您的子民在中国共产党的领导下，经过了五十九年多的努力奋斗建设。

特别是三十年的改革开放，经济的成倍增长，大中小城市高楼林立，退耕还林，保护了生态平衡，山青水秀，北方草原羊肥马壮，南方金黄稻浪滚滚，鱼满池塘，都市商铺林立，货物堆积如山，琳琅满目，您重新焕发容颜，又屹立在世界的东方，令世人震惊，使那些“外国佬”们刮目相看!

我爱您的气魄，我爱你的“酷”，从加入WTO到申奥主办成功，从“神舟系列各号”的成功发射到奥运会的英勇奇冠，都在世界证实了您的地方，您的尊严!

我的祖国，我的母亲，马上又要迎来您的60岁生日了，这个日子应是灿烂的，这一天应是难忘的，因为13亿多华夏儿女都为您祝寿。我——您的一个不起眼的小儿，谨以少先队员最崇高的敬礼向您致敬，祝您生日快乐，兴盛昌隆!相信我，十几年后，我会用一份最珍贵的礼物回报你，我的母亲!我的祖国!

母爱是雪中的炭，给了我们温暖;是饥饿时的面包，给了我们营养;是孤独时的亲情，给了我们慰藉;是失败时的鼓励，给了我们勇气和信心。

每当落日吝啬地夺走了最后一缕阳光，母亲总会用她心中的太阳照亮我;每当我跌跌撞撞，走在布满荆棘，风雨交加的阡陌小道，母亲总会牵着我的手，走向通往光明的大路。感恩母亲，是我们每个人都应该做的。于是在今年的母亲节，我送给了妈妈一个她意想不到的惊喜。

母亲节那天的星期日晚上，妈妈推开家门，疲惫地躺在了沙发上。我走了过去，说：“妈妈，今天是母亲节，我来给您捶捶背吧!”妈妈欣慰地笑了。虽然我站在她身后，却仿佛可以看见妈妈那荡漾着灿烂的笑容的脸，和她那惬意的脸上轻轻泛起的岁月的痕迹。

等妈妈到房间里换衣服之后，我便蹑手蹑脚地走到浴室，拿出水盆，盛上温水，拿到客厅里。妈妈走了出来，一看见我，好奇地问：“怎么了?”“今天我决定——为您洗一次脚。”“洗脚!”妈妈惊讶地说。“是的。您不用惊讶。能为您服务我感到很荣幸。”我像个服务生似的说。可妈妈还是很惊讶。

我拿只小板凳，坐在了妈妈面前，把妈妈的脚放进了温水里，用毛巾轻轻地为妈妈的脚洗去尘埃。从上到下，每一个细微的地方我都不放过。我仿佛感受到了妈妈那享受儿女的爱的心情。可我却看见妈妈为了我奔波，脚底那磨出的厚厚的茧。我心疼地看着脚上的茧。

我多么希望时间永远停留在这一刻，让妈妈享受着我对她的关心。忽然，水盆上的水溅起了一滴水花。我抬起头，看见妈妈正红着眼眶看着我，看着我渗出细细汗珠的额头，看着已经懂事了的我。我知道，妈妈刚才那一滴泪水，不是悲伤的泪水，而是欣慰的泪水，是感动的泪水。她因为我已经长大了而欣慰，因为我懂得了感恩而感动。

“滴水之恩，自当涌泉相报。”可母亲对我那深厚的爱，我何时才能报答完呢?于是，我想从现在开始，感恩母爱，为母亲献上一杯热茶，让母亲感到一丝丝的温暖，一丝丝的感动。也许，这对于母亲来说，就是的报答了。

According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education,

there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme

extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around

parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the

most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without

supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their

opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely

erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both

mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on

their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or

cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate

and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make

crimes and violence more scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are

completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots

or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as

walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that

kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents

should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for

children and the evaluation to kids’ maturity and capability. Only then can they

enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.
