枚乘，字叔，西汉淮阴（今属江苏）人，是汉代着名的文学家。汉景帝时，他在吴王刘濞府中担任郎中。

吴国是当时诸侯中的大国，吴王刘濞野心很大，图谋叛乱。汉景帝任用很有才能的晁错为御史大夫，晁错主张削减各诸侯国的领地，加强中央的权力。刘濞看到一些诸侯王纷纷被削减了领地，知道自己也在所难免，于是联络其他的几个诸侯准备叛乱。

当时齐国的威王，本来是一个很有才智的君主，但是，在他即位以后，却沈迷于酒色，不管国家大事，每日只知饮酒作乐，而把宜切正事都交给大臣去办理，自己则不闻不问。因此，政治不上轨道，官吏们失职，再加上各国的诸侯也都趁机来侵犯，使得齐国濒临灭亡的边缘。

齐威王本是一个聪明人，亦听就知道淳于髡是在讽刺自己，向那只大鸟一样，身为一国之尊，却毫无作为，只知道享乐。而他时再也不是一个昏庸的君王，于是沈吟了一会儿之后便毅然的决定要改过，振作起来，做一番轰轰烈烈的是，因此他对淳于髡说：

“嗯，这一只大鸟，你不知道，它不飞则已，亦非就会冲到天上去，它不鸣则已，一鸣就会惊动众人，你慢慢等着瞧吧！”

从此齐威王不在沈迷于饮酒作乐，而开始整顿国正。首先他召见全国的官吏，尽忠负责的，就给予奖励；而那些无能的，则加以惩罚。结果全国上下，很快就振作起来，到处充满蓬勃的朝气。

另一方面他也着手整顿军事，强大武力，奠定国家的威望。各国诸侯听到这个消息以后都很震惊，不但不敢再来侵犯，甚至还把原先侵占的土地，都归还给齐国。

这个成语来源于《诗经。小雅。小弁》，维桑与梓，必恭敬止。靡瞻匪父，靡依匪母。不属于毛，不罹于里。天之生我，我辰安在？

周幽王姬宫涅是西周的最后一个国君，他昏庸暴虐，政治腐朽。

公元前779年，褒国进献了一个姓姒的美女，叫褒姒。周幽王十分宠爱她。褒姒一向不爱笑，幽王用音乐歌舞、美味佳肴都不能让她笑。有人献计点燃报警的烽火台，召来各路诸侯兵马，使他们上当，让褒姒笑一笑，幽王欣然同意。

他带褒姒到行宫游玩，晚上传令点燃烽烟，各地诸侯见到烽烟，以为有盗寇侵扰京城，纷纷率领兵马赶来相救。到了一看，只见幽王在喝酒取乐。幽王派人对他们说：“没有什么盗寇，让你们辛苦了！”诸侯受骗，匆匆地来，匆匆地去。褒姒看了不由大笑，幽王也很开心。褒姒生了个儿子叫伯服，幽王废掉申后，立褒姒为王后；废掉申后生的太子宜臼，立伯服为太子。

成语八《专横跋扈》

汉大将军梁商的儿子梁冀，肩膀上耸，眼角倒竖，说起话来口齿不清。他从小放荡不羁，喜好喝酒、打猎、斗鸡。靠了他父亲和当皇后的妹妹的权势，官越做越大。

梁商死后，汉顺帝任命梁冀为大将军。接着，顺帝也死去，梁冀为了掌握朝政大权，强行把年仅八岁的刘缵立为皇帝、这就是汉质帝。质帝虽然年幼，但很聪明。他见梁冀非常骄横，有一次召见群臣时，看着梁冀说：“这位是跋扈将军！”“跋扈”，是霸道、不讲理的意思；梁冀听到质帝这样责骂，恨透了他，他命手下人把毒酒加入饼里。质帝吃了，当天就死去。

在决定立新君的时候，大臣们又上书，要求立刘蒜为帝。当时，蠢吾侯刘志正在和梁冀的小妹议婚，于是粱冀不顾大臣们的反对，当众宣布立刘志为皇帝。这就是汉恒帝。接着，将力主立刘蒜为帝的两位大臣害死。

唐穆宗长庆年间，传说有个处士马拯，听说衡山祝融峰人住着一个伏虎长老。他带了一个童仆，上山去拜访那位长老。

他登上祝融峰，见到一座佛寺里，果然有个须发皆白的老和尚。老和尚很热情，一定要留马拯吃饭，可是厨房里的油和盐正巧用完了。马拯就叫童仆下山去买油盐。老和尚陪送他走出寺门。马拯独自一人站在寺边观赏山景。

这时，从山下又来了一个叫马沼的隐士。两人互通姓名之后，马沼说他在半山腰看见一只猛虎在叫人……马拯问了那人的年龄、容貌、衣着，惊叫道：“那是我的童仆！”马沼又说：“奇怪的是，那猛虎吃了人后，忽然变成一个须发皆白的老和尚。”不一会，老和尚回来了，马沼轻声对马拯说：“正是这个和尚。”

由于小学生年龄较小，生活经验不丰富，知识范围有限，决定了他们对直观、新颖、有趣的材料容易理解和接受。比如学生学习“good morning ﹑good afternoon ﹑good evening”这三个问候词时很容易混淆，我就用道具设置情景：画了三幅图，有从东面初升的太阳表示上午，有正在上方炎热的太阳表示中午，有明亮的月亮表示晚上。再叫学生用“good morning ﹑good afternoon ﹑good evening”来说，加深了学生的印象。作为一个小学英语教师表情要丰富，如果表情呆滞，语言平淡，学生就不能全身心投入学习中。所以在课堂上，老师需要生动地表演，丰富的表情，使学生进入一个童话世界。在制作教具时可让学生自己动手画、动手做。在教学中要用到的图片，可以提早几天布置下去，当他们的作品被运用在课堂上时，孩子们都很兴奋。这样使学生体会到成功的喜悦也激发了学英语的兴趣。此外画图片，也培养了学生的绘画能力，也可让他们熟悉一下将要学的新知识，真是一举多得啊!

People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.
