My university life has been one of the most colorful parts of my life. I will never forget the day when I first stepped into the university. Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. 我是幸运的，生活在一个科学技术发达的现代化社会里，现代科学技术的发展，给我们的生活、学习带来了前所未有的方便和快捷，我们的生活每天都在发生着新的变化。那么二十年前，甚至三十年前的生活是怎样的呢 ？ 那得从父母的回忆中去寻找答案。听说爸爸小时候，家里唯一的家用电器是爷爷当时视若珍宝的半导体收音机。家里没有自来水，每天要到两公里远的大河边挑水。电灯每天只能用两三个小时，光线弱得跟萤火虫差不多。一到夏天，各家各户都会到大街口乘凉，因为当时根本就没有电风扇。说到穿就难以想象了，爸爸说当时买衣服，买布料都要凭一种叫 “ 布票 ” 的东西，只有到过年的时候，才能穿上新衣服，而且只有蓝和绿两种颜色。去县城一天只有一趟车，拥挤得像插笋子。吃的东西更简单，每天基本上都是蔬菜一个月能吃上三、五次肉就已经很不错了，粮食不够的时候就加点红薯丝之类的杂粮。听到这里，我不由得感慨：爸爸妈妈的生活怎么会这样呢？

我们现在的生活又是怎样的呢 ？ 就说说我家吧。我家住的是三层楼的楼房，我从小就有了子己的小书房，书房里有宽敞的书桌，明亮的台灯，还有我心爱的电子琴和各种学习用品。家里的彩电、冰箱、空调、音响、微波炉、电风扇、全自动洗衣机一应俱全。在我要查学习资料的时候，我只要打开电脑，天下尽在眼底。同学生日，或有事联系，我只用点几下鼠标，一封电子贺卡或电子邮件就搞定了。我最喜欢的就是逛超市，妈妈会给我买回一大堆的零食和漂亮的衣服。前几天，爸爸妈妈还带我去吃了自助餐和肯德基，味道真是好极了。我还听爸爸说，我们家以后还要买家用小汽车，到那时候，我们出门游玩就会更方便了。

我们家只是社会的一个缩影，时代在飞速发展着，未来的生活一定会更加美好。
