暑假期间，我去我的一个朋友家玩，一下子就被他订的《趣味数学》吸引住了：这本书讲述了一个个有趣的小故事，让人们在不知不觉中就已经学到了各种各样的解题方法。我深深被这本书吸引了，下决心一定要买这本书，当得知这本书半年四十元时，我心里就有些犯嘀咕了，妈妈会不会给我买呢？这可不便宜啊！但是，还是爱书的心占了上风，我硬着头皮试探性的和妈妈商量买书的事情。

妈妈还挺支持我的，但是又说：“这本书是你自己要买的。这样吧，从今天起，你每考一个第一名我就发给你二十元，第二名十元，第三名五元，好好努力吧。”我听到这，特别高兴，幸亏我遇到了一个明智的老妈，从那天开始，我就一直努力学习，每当我疲倦时，就有一股强大的买书的欲望支撑着我，终于，我的了两个第一，一个第二，获得了五十元，拿到钱，我便迫不及待地跑向书店，终于买到了我梦寐以求的《趣味数学》，果然，这本书没有辜负我对他的期望，内容精彩至极，我也从这本书中，学到了许多课堂上学不到的知识。

因为在路上，马看见了狐狸，狡猾的狐狸使了个坏，它自言自语着：呸，你这个老东西，不就吃了几个破鸭蛋嘛，你还告上法庭，害得我不能参加生肖王大赛，我今天再吃几个！说罢，它就从鸭妈妈家门口的洞里钻了进去。贪心的狐狸吃得精精有味，冷不防被马踹了一脚，它吓了一跳，赶紧逃了出去。老鸭子回来了，听了这件事后，对马左夸右夸，马听得心里痒痒的，听着听着，不知不觉一上午就过去了，马这才转身告辞了。

生肖中马排了第七，是因为马确实是第七个才到的，马跑得慢吗？不是。而是因为他帮别人办了一件大事。

在马参加生肖王大赛的途中，正好走到洋洋村时，忽然听到有人在哭，便过去问道：奶奶，您为什么要哭？

哎！我们全村人都得了一种严重的感染病，快没救了！老奶奶说。

小马说：奶奶，一定有办法的，您快告诉我，我帮你们！

老奶奶说：在20里外的地方，有一座神山，山上有一口井，神井里便是神水，只有那神水才能治好我们的病。可是在山上有一只毒猫，只要有人上去，都是有去无回呀！这匹勇敢的马听了老奶奶的话后，挂了一个装神水的葫芦，头也不回飞一般的出发了。

马飞速前进，不一会儿就到了山上，可马突然闻到了一股香味，随后，头便疼痛难忍。可马坚持着，直到拿到神水。那毒猫哪能让你这么容易得逞！它向马的脚下扔了一地的毒石子，马的腿瞬间就直不起来了，它忽然想起神水，就艰难地取出神水，往脚上滴了一滴，不愧是神水！它便快速逃离了那可怕的神山。

马快速奔向洋洋村，把神水倒入村里的井水里，人们得救了。马这才想起生肖王的事，所以就排在了第七，可马的心里却暖暖的

马，不一样啊，差距太大了！第一匹马骄傲自大，太爱吹牛；第二匹马助人为乐，英勇无比。每当在骄傲与助人为乐打架时，第二匹马那壮实的身躯让我不得不选择助人为乐！

We have four hour classes in the morning. I have luch at my grandparents, because their home is nearer to my school.

After two classes in the afternoon, school is over. Then we clean our classroom.

I get home at about half past five. We have dinner at seven. After dinner I do my homework. If I finish my homesork early, I can watch TV for half an hour. I go to bed at half past nine or ten.

New York is the first big city in America. It is the world’s commercial

center and there are many sites that attract people from all over the world to

take a visit. One of the famous sites is the Statue of Liberty. Everybody knows

this great site and it has become the symbol of New York.

The Statue of Liberty stands on an island of the New York City harbor. It

is the tallest building ever built. When people get there, they will see a woman

holding a torch of fire. In her feet, people can see the chains that are broken,

which means she gets away from the restrictions and chases for freedom. There is

a book on her right hand, which is the Declaration of Independence.

The complete name of this statue is Liberty Enlightening the World. It is

the present from French people to American people. The meaning of friendship and

freedom are shared by both countries. Today, the meaning of the Statue of

Liberty is shared by the world. People can feel the peace when they see this

image.

今天，天气转凉，大家都披上了大衣，来到了美丽的校园，小鸟似乎变少了，小草开始掉发了，大叔开始掉牙了，这意味着一年即将过去了，一眨眼十月已经过半，一年还有最后的三分之一，一天跟光速一般，在这光是的日子里发生了许多有趣的事情，在中学的每一节可我都听得非常认真听从老师指挥和安排，也在每一节课里紧紧抓住每一个知识点，虽然上课很死板，但有几堂课却让我记忆犹新，比如今天的英语课……

“叮铃铃”上课铃响了，我静静的坐在位子上等待老师上课，在我看来英语课有时有趣，有时却非常无聊，而今天这堂英语课让我改变了对它的看法，我相信这样有趣的课堂老师也一定发了不少心思来准备这堂课，在上课时老师突然给我们来了个对抗游戏，男生VS女生哪一方选手问题回答的多，那方就获胜。

比赛开始了，男生，女生都不甘示弱，勇于站起来回答问题，外面狂风大作，里面却是这番热闹的情景，一分钟过去了，二分钟过去了，三分钟过去了男生和女生之间出现了距离，眼看第一大题就要结束，我们男生非常着急，想挽回局面，正当我们要开始翻盘时，第一大题居然就这然结束了，不过还好，还有第二大题，谁赢谁输还不一定呢？第二大局开始了，经过一番调整的我们，又开始追逐了紧张又激烈的气氛依旧未停，男生们依然努力的追赶着分数，能追一分是一分，女生好像有点骄傲了，回答的人越来越少，我们分数渐渐多了起来，直到最后一题是我们只差女生两分了，当我们认为胜负已定时，老师突然说最后一题回答对加两分，这是我们脸上又有了笑容，因为班长把自己的手举得高高的，他是我们最后的一线希望了，你是男生唯一的靠山了，当老师在黑板上花了两个大星星后就意味着我们的努力没有白费，我们终于胜利了！

Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I‘d be twins. Wanna see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied. "Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could choose to die. I chose to live.

"Weren‘t you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read, ‘He‘s a dead man. " I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big, burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. ‘Yes,‘ I replied.
