Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with cards, gifts and flowers. In many countries, such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia and the US, people cel lebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May while many other countries of the world celebrate their own Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually, dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.

“终于到期末考试了，以后就不用上英语课了！”一大早，同学们就商量着考完试后做什么事情。“英语老师来啦！快快快！”不知何人大声喊叫，同学们听到后，就开始乱读，读什么的都有：teacher、singer、bybike…我终于知道到应有尽有的意思了。

监考老师刘老师来了，刚到就说了句：“人，要做君子。”同桌轻轻地嘀咕里一句：君子迟早会在战场上阵亡的，我不要做君子。对于同桌的这句话，我真的是无可奈何。我开始审题了，一题一题都看的十分仔细，听力部分的时候，讲台桌里的音箱发出低沉的声音，震得地板都在颤抖着，我也迷迷糊糊的，听不清它说的是什么单词，非得把耳朵往前，仔细听这才听得清楚。听力部分终于熬过去了，到笔试部分了，我开始奋笔勤书，一个单词都不丢下的看过去，终于写完了。我开始检查了，发现错误很少，几乎没有错误，这才放心的等待着交卷。

I was born in an ordinary family, but the love my parents gave me made me

feel that I was the happiest girl in the world. Before I went to middle school,

my parents decided to let me live in the hometown, where I spent the good time.

I was surrounded by green trees and clean water. Every day, I would play funny

games with my friends. When I went to middle school, I left hometown and moved

to the city to live with my parents. I needed to focus my attention to study.

“快起来，别睡了！太阳都晒屁股了，还不快去干活！”一阵严厉的叫喊声把凡卡从他的美梦中拉了回来。“还不快去干活。”老板命令凡卡，凡卡只好被迫无奈地干了许多又累又重活，连续好几天，凡卡都这样干着。凡卡常常会在老板不注意的时候，跑到门外看爷爷有没有来接他。可是，一天，两天，三天……一个星期过去了，凡卡还没有看见爷爷的踪影。凡卡心想：爷爷是不是不喜欢我了？不要我了？想着想着，凡卡竟然哭了出来。这时，一个新来的小伙计走到他身边，关心地问：“凡卡，你怎么了？”凡卡哭着把给爷爷寄信的事告诉了小伙计，还嘱咐他不要告诉别人。小伙计听了之后，哭笑不得的说：“凡卡，写信是要有详细地址的，还要有邮票和收件人的姓名，这样信才能发到你爷爷的手里，你写的信根本寄不出去。”凡卡听了之后，恍然大悟。他用自己剩下的工钱重新买了一个信封和一张邮票。

有一天，老板和老板娘都不在家。凡卡偷偷地从立柜里拿出纸和笔，重新把上次给爷爷写的信写了一遍。写完之后，他把信装进了信封里，并且写上了收件人的详细地址和姓名，贴上了邮票，然后，他连大衣都没穿就跑到了大街上，把信投到了邮筒里，他此时此刻高兴极了，仿佛看见了爷爷正带着泥鳅赶过来接他。

三天后的中午，凡卡仍然站在门口等爷爷。忽然，远方出现了一个熟悉的身影，“啊！是爷爷！”凡卡叫着，跑了过去，扑到爷爷怀里。爷爷和蔼地说：“好孩子，你受委屈了，爷爷这就带你回家。”说着，他们两个迈着大步向家走去……

从此以后，凡卡和爷爷过上了幸福的生活……

期末考试结束后，面对四个班的成绩，我喜忧参半：喜的是个班成绩比较均衡，优秀率都在百分之八十以上，及格率百分之九十九。忧的是我所教的四个班中的学困生比其他班多几个。感觉自己在平时的转化学困生工作中下了不少功夫，为什么没有进展呢?我静下心来好好反思自己的工作，总结经验与不足，为下学期的工作做一下铺垫：

一、教学经验

1。精心备课，不打无准备之仗。每节课上课前，我除了精心编写教案、学案外，还上网搜集各种英语课本知识相关的小视频，小动画，制作精美使用的课件，尽量用多种手段吸引学生的注意。事实证明精心，好上课的材料是提高课堂效率的有效策略。

2.严宽结合，狠抓课堂常规。我一直坚持对学生充满爱的教育，但绝不是无条件无原则的爱。尤其是在抓班级教学常规工作中，我更是注重严宽结合，当学生注意力集中时，我就抓紧讲解基础知识。当学生表现疲惫不专心时，我就放慢速度，运用课堂口令帮助学生集中精力。如：我要求学生坐端正会说：one-two-three学生就说：A-B-C并坐好。我要求学生认真听会说：Listen!学生要说：I will listen!总之，恰当的口令语是保证课堂顺利进行的重要条件之一。

3.以鼓励为主，关注学困生。我感觉教师的鼓励是学生奋进的催化剂，尤其针对学困生。平时我总是多给学困生表现的机会，及时肯定他们的进步，坚持给他们写鼓励性评语，让他们时时尝到成功的甜头。一学期下来，个班的学困生明显减少，并且普遍增强自信心，发挥出较强的主观能动性，激发出前所未有的兴趣和热情，英语成绩持续上升，在这次期末考试中脱颖而出。对于纪律不好的学生，我也是坚持多表扬少批评的原则，只要他们一有好的表现，我就会在全班同学面前大加表扬，强化他们已经形成的好习惯。确保班上每一个孩子都能参与到课堂教学的有效互动中，提高了课堂教学效率，在这次期末考试中四个班的成绩名列前茅。

二、不足之处：

1.对待学困生缺少耐心，没有关注好每一个学困生，为他们制定恰当的补习计划和措施。

2.经常犯急躁情绪，没有很好的反思自己的课堂教学而怪罪学生不会学习。

今后我会在原有成绩的基础上继续努力，潜心学习，积极探索更加有效地教学策略，关注每一个学生，为他们的终生学习奠定坚实的基础!
