In the past, the living conditions were very poor. There were not many buses or cars, and the roads were narrow. Usually, a big family was crowed into a small, dark house. Most families couldn’t get enough food. The communications were simple and slow. People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far away mainly by letter or telegram.

Thanks to the government, our hometown has developed rapidly in recent years. The living conditions are much better and more comfortable. The roads are wide. Some people have their own cars. Most of the people have lived in big new houses. Quite a few adults have mobile phones. Because of many good policies, I think our lives will become better and better.

I have read the book called Readaholic recently. I can know a lot through reading. I can learn some foreign culture and habitude . It is really interesting. Most of my classlates are interested in it.

On New Years Eve, everyone will wear new clothes. My parents and I will go to the Grandpa and grandmas home to eat Nian Yefan. This is the tradition of our family. At the dinner table, my grandmother will prepare a lot of dishes for us to cook hot pot.

These dishes are very delicious. Everyone ate very happy. We have forgotten the troubles of the past year, happy to greet the new year. After dinner, I will go back home with my parents. In eight, I will be fireworks at the

threshold of our home.

They are very beautiful. Doing this will make me feel very happy. After I put the fireworks, I will watch the Spring Festival Gala. First I often listen to music ,then I take a showerahd have a breakfast,then I do my homework and have dinner.After I can taking a nap on 2 oclock.At 4 oclock ,I can play the computer and football.Last I have lunch and sleep.

那天端午节伴着朝阳，随着清风，新的一天开始了。只见湛蓝的天空下，澄碧的河面上，五颜六色的龙舟整装待发，运动员们个个精神抖擞，信心满满，仿佛胜券在握。而河岸上的我们仿佛比参赛选手还要紧张，个个屏息凝望着。随着裁判员的一声令下，两条龙舟齐头并进，划龙舟的选手们都用尽全力，快速而有序地划着船浆，坐在船头的鼓、锣手也是十分卖力，敲锣打鼓声清脆而有力，掌舵手也正控制着大局，和运动员一起拼命的喊着＂一、二，一、二！”大家都灌输了全身的能量，使出了吃奶的劲儿，一会儿一艘龙舟超过另一艘，不一会儿，落后的那艘又追赶了上来，这样大起大落的局势让看比赛的我们心情也如坐过山车一样，忽起忽落，我在一旁看着只能替他们干着急，多想此时跳到龙舟上拉他们一把。

突然，岸边的炮竹发出噼里啪啦的声音，鼓舞着划龙舟的选手们，让他们更加充满了斗志。刹那间，锣声、鼓声、划浆声汇集成了一首雄浑的曲子。赛龙舟终于结束了，胜利的选手们欢呼雀跃，抱在了一起，成绩不太理想的队员们也没有半点气馁，相互打气，都在准备下一次比赛。

看着人们赛龙舟时脸上开心的笑容，我不禁想到，现在的时代正在以飞快的速度发展、进步着，人们的生活渐渐被各式各样的电子产品替代，很少有人会再去关心那些旧的习俗。所以，作为新世纪的我们，应起到带头作用，传承传统习俗，以守住民族的根。

不知不觉，我初中毕业了，这个原本我会非常开心的时候，心情却非常的复杂。

初三下学期就这样平淡地结束，这意味着我们要永远告别陪伴我三年的学校，告别三年来朝夕相处的同学。而迎接我们的是一个未知的世界。

在以前总是听父母说珍惜美好青春，时间不等人之类的话，心里总是不以为然，。到了现在，我才深深的体会到时光如水的含义。夜里无人，四周一片寂静，学校的一幕幕经常会浮现在我的的眼前。锦州军训、五里河运动会、沃尔玛岗位体验、参观海城少管所……这一切还向刚刚发生过那样清晰。但是已经离我们很遥远了。

This is the end of the first trimester， which means that we have to say goodbye to my three years of school and the students who have spent three years together。 And we are greeted by an unknown world。

石桥做工很精细。它很宽，可以容的下一辆小车，石桥的两旁有着长长的扶手，扶手下有着精致的小狮子图案，几十幅图案没有一幅是相同的。这在当时已经算是有名的建筑了。

石桥的一面是一个村庄，村民们每天过着和谐、安详的日子，喜气洋洋的气氛笼罩的这个小村庄。

石桥的另一面是一片竹林，每逢佳节我回到家乡的时候，总会和小伙伴一起冲向竹林，玩起一种叫“竹枪战”的游戏。每当有村民来到的时候，我们就躲进茂密的竹林里，当村民靠近的时候，我们就一齐站起来吓他一跳，然后迅速跑回各家各户。

石桥是还可以过“泼水节”呢!每当泼水节来临的时候，(我们村民并没有过这个节)我们小孩就要乐翻天了。

每次泼水节，我们几个就都从家里搬盆水来，往别人身上泼，回到家，我们个个都成了落汤鸡。

现在，这座我桥已不复存在，但是石桥的记忆，却永远的留在了我的脑海里。

转眼间已经来这里两年多了，在这里的生活虽然说也是“自由自在”但是却总觉得自己少了点什么，是对故乡的怀念吗？还是对我一直以来没有珍惜那儿的幸福时光而感到愧疚呢？

我记得在那里，总有两排大树屹立在道路两旁。每年春天时，爸爸都会在大门两侧种上许多花，例如：百合·小葵花·串串红……还有许多令我叫不出名字的花。轻风一吹，花姑娘们便纷纷舞动着纤细的腰肢，轻轻地舞着。有时，你还会发现一只胖的要命的黄蜂伏在嫩黄色的花蕊中，贪婪地汲取着蕊中的蜜汁，这黄蜂好似总也吸不够似的，不停地从这枝花飞到那只花上，真没想到这胖胖的小家伙竟如此贪心……

在我家后院有一亩池塘，夏天时，鸭子和大鹅都赶去那里避暑，我和弟弟边看着，不让它们下水，因水中有鱼，倘若它们下水，鱼是要被鸭子们抓住的，就算不被抓，也都会被鸭子们吓得钻到泥里去。

秋天是最为凉爽的季节，不必说那金黄色的豆田，也不必说那蔚蓝的天空，单是看着那落叶从枝头缓缓落下，就令人感到心旷神怡。门口的花都无力地耷拉下脑袋，池塘的水面上也不见了乘凉的鸭与鹅，水中也不不见了四处游来游去的鱼，虽凄凉，却有一种萧条的美……

冬天是最长的，花与草的枯枝都附上了一层薄的银白色的雪，池塘上也结了冰，盖了雪，那层厚厚的像毛绒毯子似的雪，似乎就是细心地冬姑娘送与池塘的礼物，就连那落叶也被白雪覆盖住了，那些落叶终于归根了是吗？它们会冷吗？

回想着这些，我才知道，我的家乡是多美呀？如一幅美丽的图画，其中有绿如玉的春；红如火的夏；金如漆的秋；白如雪的冬……加上粉红色的欢乐；深紫色的苦涩；浅蓝色的泪水……

in spite of these changes the liberation of women has not been completely

realized. prejudice against women is deeply rooted still in some peoples mind,

especially in distant rural areas. so, mankind should take further painstaking

efforts to really realize equality.

Reading is my hobby. While reading, I can get a lot of happiness. When Im free, I often read some famous books. Books are my best friends that always keep me a good company. They often give me powers. Through reading, I can enlarge my eyes as well as widen my heart. Through reading, I become more and more knowledgeable.

My favorite books are Readers and VOA. Readers cover the knowledge of culture, literature, and history, so I can benefit a lot by reading it. VOA can let me know the foreign countries better. Thanks to VOA, my oral English is improving day by day.
