不记得哪位名人说过，读书能平静你的心。使你看清楚前面的路，让你心情愉悦时，能让你发现更多美好的事物，让你更加享受生活。看完了《西游记》我觉得在平时的学习中，我也要有自己的目标，约束好自己散漫偷懒的心。用认真的学习态度去做好每一项作业。才能最后有好的收获。

When I was a freshman in college I watched the film Gua Sha Treatment for the first time, now I am a junior student and I come back to review the movie from a multicultural aspect, I have many different feelings after watching the film again.

At the beginning of the film, XuDatong is given an award and later he delivers a speech. What makes me impressed most is in his speech he says “one day I will become one of you, a truly successful American, today this award proved that America is a true land of opportunity and I am the living proof of that.” At that moment Xu thinks he has realized his American Dream totally with his lovingly wife and adorable son. However, I think it is ironical that to make a speech like that and I assume it is made on purpose to hind a clue for the story’s development. How many non-American people have such a beautiful American dream? One of my classmate studies in American now and before he went aboard he told me his American dream is he can stand at the top of the New York. To be honest, I also dream that one day I can get the Green Card living there happily and successfully maybe working at the Wall Street. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

The second scene is Xu hit his son Denis because Denis hit the son of xu’s boss, at the middle of the film xu tells his boss that he hit his own son is only to show his respect to his boss John Quinlan, that time Quinlan feels puzzled “what a Chinese logic”， yes, American can never understand such a logic full of Chinese characteristic, because they respect everyone including the children, they won’t beat a child to please the boss, and there is no such a conception of degree between employee and employer, they feel everyone is equal, which is quite different from china.

What’s more, I remember a line ‘No one won the case, especially the child.’ In my opinion, it also manifests the universal concern from the American public to the children.

The fourth aspect is following the procedure, in the film, more than there times, the people focus on the rule, the law, the procedure. At the Christmas Eve Xu wants to return back to his home pretending as a Santa Claus, what a pity, the security recognizes him and persuades ‘you are always a good tenement, never causes troubles for me.’ And another scene is at the end of the film , the judge says ‘I have to follow the procedure.’ However, in China people always have to ask for a favor to do something, and later you have to pay back the favor ，for myself, I prefer the American style, strict to the procedure.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

She wanted to go home to Kansas but she doesn’t know how to get there. So the Witch of North told her to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard of Oz to help her. Then Dorothy met the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, but they need help too. The Scarecrow wanted some brains, the Tin Man wanted a heard, and the Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave. So they all take the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. On the way to the Emerald City they met some difficulties, but they solved them successfully. After they met the Wizard of Oz, the wizard gave them another challenge—to kill the bad Witch of the West and they accept. During the way to the Witch of the West’s house, they were caught by the witch and Dorothy was requested to work for her. One day, when the witch tried to catch Dorothy’s red shoes, Dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the Witch of the West disappeared. Only water can kill her. So Dorothy went back to the Emerald City with her friends but they found the Wizard of Oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from Kansas, and he is just a conjurer. He wanted to go back to Kansas too. So he made a big balloon and prepared to go. But when the balloon is going to raise, Dorothy’s dog Toto jumped away to run after a cat, so Dorothy had to get Toto back and they were left in Oz. Then Dorothy and Toto went and find the Witch of the South and the witch told them they can just use the red shoes on Dorothy’s feet, they’re a pair of magic shoes, they could take anybody go back to their home as soon as she said‘East, west—home is the best!’After Dorothy said goodbye to her friends, she went back to her new home with her dog. Yes, no matter where we are, home is always the best place for us to rest or study. There are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. At home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves.

From this story, we can see Dorothy is a brave and kind-hearted girl. She killed the two bad witches in Oz; she helped the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard and get what they want. She solved problems when they met difficulties. It’s really not easy for such a little girl.

We also learn that teamwork is important for us. When we are in trouble, we can ask our friends for help, and also, when our friends need help, we should go and help them. Just remember, more people, more power. It’s always better has more people to do a thing. Teamwork is really necessary in our lives.

And we can see the Scarecrow is absolutely cleaver, he understands things, he can think, he learn quickly, and he suggested Dorothy to cut down a tree to cross the river. The tin man has a kind heart, he laughs, he cries, he loves, he feels sorry for people. The Cowardly Lion is really brave, he did a lot of brave things, he carried the friends to go across the river, and he wanted to find some food for his friends and so on. We should learn from them too. When we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the Scarecrow. 了这本书，我佩服列个佛能勇敢的面对困难，坚强的克服困难。想想我，有一次我正在做题，遇到了一道难题，我用尽了脑汁还想不出来，便泄气的不做了。读了这本书后我非常惭愧，决心向格列佛学习。

铃铃上课了，我只好依依不舍的放下书，听课去了。

阅过许多古色古香的文学名著，有些如蜻蜓点水一样很快就忘记了，唯有这一部《西游记》依然深深地刻在脑子里。

初次接触《西游记》，是在小时候学语的时候，从大人们口中的故事里。那是一个讲唐三藏、孙悟空、猪八戒、沙和尚师徒四人前往西天取经，一路上披荆斩棘、降妖伏魔，历尽九九八十一难，终于修成正果的故事。当时的我认为唐三藏代表善良，孙悟空代表机灵，猪八戒代表可爱，沙和尚代表老实。我想，那么让我去取经也是可以的啊。

我小时候的想法并没有错，可是当我再次重温，我并不这样想，我更注重的是它的前因后果——为什么他们会去取经?为什么他们能胜利能成功?我想，一定是因为他们是勇敢的。虽然唐三藏给人一种懦弱无能的感觉，猪八戒给人一种贪生怕死的感觉;只有孙悟空和沙和尚才真正算得上是真正的勇敢。但事实并不是这样，如果他们并不都是勇敢的，那他们还会一起去，一起胜利而归吗?是的，只有勇敢才能取得胜利。

当今世界，胜利已经成为每一个人追求的目标，可是大部分人都只是麻木追求，丝毫没有注意到胜利者应该是一个怎样的人。就这样，胆小怕事的人遇到机会不去闯练，就知道每天把胜利挂在嘴边，直到离胜利越来越远;相反，而那些勇敢无畏、勇往直前的人，就算他们不在乎胜利，但他们永远是胜利的。由此可见，胜利的曙光只属于勇敢者。

有人会问：现在的我们只是学生，干番大事业还是离我们太远，我们空有勇敢也没有用?其实，在学习上，我们也要勇敢。不要因为一些作业上的小难题，成绩上的小挫折就把自己给打败了。我们应该用勇敢来应付它们，消灭它们，把它们占为己有……

这个暑假我看了《西游记》这一本书，看完以后我有了很多感受。

《西游记》是一本很好的书，作者是吴承恩。《西游记》讲了唐僧师徒四人一路降妖除魔，扶危济困，历经九九八十一难，终于取到了真经的故事。

我觉得西游记中的每个人物都有自己的特点，像孙悟空就是聪明机灵、一路为唐僧保驾护航;猪八戒则是忠厚老实、虽然贪吃但也不懒惰;而沙僧则是一路默默无闻，遇到危险就会马上出招;唐僧则是非常善良，但他容易被骗，还误会过孙悟空。

西游记除了众人的性格不同以外，还有一个也很吸引人的地方，那就是书本中隔几行就会以诗为证，以诗为证会增加可信度，使故事变得更真实，更加吸引人的眼球。

This book is very interesting and teaches me a lot. I like little price adventures. He teaches me to be honest and love others. All of us should never loss the pureness of childhood.

今日，我又重读了中国四大名着之——《西游记》。这本书主要讲了唐僧师徒四人和白龙马历尽艰险，经过九九八十一难，最终取得了真经的故事。

在这本书中，我最喜欢的是《连环洞战花豹精》这个故事。花豹精本领并不高强，他连八戒也打可是，却抓住了唐僧，都是因为他采取了一个好计策：把悟空三人引开，再趁机抓走唐僧。其实花豹精用的是个解决问题的好方法：当困难太大时，能够采取缩小目标，逐个击破的方法。

这个方法同样能够用在学习上。我们在学习上不可能一口吃个胖子，知识在于积累。当学习上有困难的时候，我们能够把大的学习目标分解成许多小目标，一天完成一点，小目标完成得越多，离实现大目标就越来越近了。比如，一天记五十个单词肯定很困难，但如果我们一天记十个，五天就能够记五十个。这样，我们的学习就会变得简便而欢乐。再比如，我学习滑蛇板的经历。一开始，我想一次学会滑行，不知摔了多少个跟头，也没学会。之后，我就先单练起身，再练滑动，最终练转弯，很快就学会了。

这本书前七回主要介绍了小说中心人物孙悟空的出世、求道、闹龙宫、搅冥府、闹天宫，直至其被如来佛压在五行山下，为中心故事的展开埋下伏笔;八至十二回写小说中另一重要人物唐僧的身世，兼写如来说法、观音访僧、魏征斩龙、太宗入冥，玄奘奉诏取经，交代取经缘起，在结构上与前七回并列，同为展开中心故事做准备;十三至一百回是西天取经正文，中心故事之所在，其间包括41个具有相对独立的中短篇故事，主要写取经途中的各种矛盾斗争，包括取经人和妖魔之间的斗争，取经人与自然环境的矛盾斗争，以及取经人内部的矛盾斗争，在结构上以取经人物的活动为中心，依次展开又互相照应，离奇曲折，悬念不断，至经历八十一难，矛盾最后解决，斗争终于胜利，取经理想实现。

这本书中的孙悟空给我留下了很深刻的印象：他因为大闹天宫被如来佛用法力压在五行山下，幸天灾满足，归于释教;并且他隐恶扬善，在途中炼魔降怪有功，善始善终，成为了斗战胜佛。而猪八戒原来是天河水神，天蓬元帅。因为他在蟠桃会上酗酒戏了嫦娥，被贬下界投胎，身如畜类。幸亏他在路上保护圣僧，却又有顽心，色情未泯。因为他挑担有功，做净坛使者。沙悟净本是卷帘大将，先因蟠桃会上打碎玻璃盏，贬他下界，落于流沙河，伤生吃人造孽，幸皈佛教，诚敬迦持，保护圣僧，登山牵马有功，为金身罗汉。

觉得书中的每个人物都值得我学习。孙悟空本领高强、正直勇敢，对师傅也十分忠诚，我要向他学习，不能害怕危险;唐僧坚持不懈，意志坚定，我要向他学习，不能放弃;猪八戒虽有些懒，可为人十分忠厚老实，我要向他学习，诚实守信;沙僧话虽不多，但却吃苦耐劳，不喊一声“累”，我要向他学习，肯吃苦，不怕累，更加勤奋。

师徒四人西天取经，坚持不懈，值得我学习。一路上，他们翻过了多少山，走过了多少片树林，打败了多少妖精，这是多么艰难的一路啊!可他们却没有放弃的念头，从来都没有过，这种精神难道不值得我们所有人学习吗?想到这儿，我不禁低下了头，他们那么困难，都挺过去了，还有什么是战胜不了的呢?我遇到的困难与之相比，不是显得太渺小了吗?

一本好书，可以影响人的一生，《西游记》就是这样的一本书吧!

今年寒假，我读了四大名着之一—《西游记》，读后，它让我受益匪浅。

在这本书中，我最最敬佩的人就是齐天大圣——孙悟空了。孙悟空本身就是个神话，他是从花果山中一块石头里蹦出来的石猴。因他穿过了花果山水帘洞，就成为了猴子们的王。然后跋山涉水，拜菩提祖师为师，不但学会了七十二变，而且学会了腾云驾雾。后来他大闹天宫，自封为齐天大圣，被如来佛祖压在了五行山下。最后经观世音菩萨点化拜唐僧为师，与猪八戒和沙僧保护唐僧取得真经，孙悟空那种热爱自由、敢于反抗、机智、勇敢、忠诚、无私、临危不乱、充满斗争、永不放弃的精神使我敬佩不已。

取经路上，孙悟空经受了多少磨难啊!在崇山峻岭中，他忍着唐僧的误解，在紧箍咒的疼痛中三打白骨精;在车迟国，他上刀山、下油锅，与虎精、羊精、鹿精三个“大国师”斗智斗勇;在盘丝洞，他被蜈蚣精的千只眼睛发出的万道光芒刺得晕了过去，但他依然不屈不挠，最终除掉了他们，救出了唐僧。

由孙悟空我想到了自己也是一个遇到困难不服输、不放弃的人。记得有一次我在做一到很难的奥数题，想了很久都做不出来，于是便焦躁不安的想放弃，但当我想到孙悟空时，一股强大的力量又使我安静地坐了下来，认真地思考着，最后终于解决了。姐姐佩服地说：“你真厉害，这么难的题都能做出来，太不可思议了!”哥哥也敬佩地说：“就是!就是!”听了他们的话，我高兴地笑了，真得感谢孙悟空啊!”

The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a great part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

my first impression of this story was from screen.

its long long ago, maybe before i can read english books. i dont remember which movie edition i had seen. but i was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. i was very favor of a section of music in its balls. its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. regarding to the characters, i liked elizabeth, the heroine,though i didnt think shes beautiful. but shes smart. however, i didnt pay much attention to the plot. i thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. by now, i havent read the whole story in english or its chinese version, either. i owe it to my prejudice.

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime.

He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse.

While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings.

I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill.

To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end.

One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs.

Maylie and Rose and began a new life.

He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons.

He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness.

I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty.

Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person.

Goodness is to humans what water is to fish.

He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person.

On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person.

People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity.

They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted.

As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others.

On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit.

In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility.

If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down.

They are one of the sorts that I really detest.

Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything.

Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

书中的第一部分“小人国之旅”中的小人国，描述了小人国王国中的职位要透过跳绳（不就是以人的潜力品德）来决定，谁跳得，谁就能获得的职位，实际上反映了在当时的英国平常人难以凭真才实学获得其应有的地位。

书中的第二部分“大人国之旅”中的大人国则充分暴露了大人国国王对英国如此喜好战争也表示出极大的憎恶，这也正就是作者借大人国国王之口来谴责战争带给人民的恶果。

书中的第三，四部分也分别表达了作者赞成和平制度和反映出由于历史的限制，作者无法找出摆脱人类丑恶的态度。
