我很喜欢看书。一天妈妈给我买来了一本厚厚的《西游记》，我一看，高兴极了，就立刻坐在沙发上，津津有味地看了起来。没过几天，这本700多页的书就被我看完了。《西游记》中描写了许多栩栩如生的人物，有一心想修得正果的唐僧，有能降妖除魔、神通广大的孙悟空，有老实忠诚、默默无闻的沙僧，还有贪生怕死又好吃贪睡的猪八戒。在这些人物当中，我最羡慕孙悟空了。

因为他有一条神奇的金箍棒，这条金箍棒能变得像碗口那么粗，也能变得像绣花针那么细。孙悟空还会七十二变，腾云驾雾，翻一个跟头就能飞出十万八千里。可是最让我佩服的，还不是这些呢!

One of the most interesting questions about gullivers travels is whether the houyhnhnms represent an ideal of rationality or whether on the other hand they are the butt of swifts satire. in other words, in book iv,is swift poking fun at the talking horses or does he intend for us to take them seriously as the proper way to act? If we look closely at the way that the houyhnhnms act,we can see that in fact swift does not take them seriously:he uses them to show the dangers of pride.

First we have to see that swift does not even take gullver seriously. for instance,his name sounds much like gullible,which suggests that he will believe anything. also, when he first sees the yahoos and they throw excrement on him,he responds by doing the same in return until they run away.He says, “I must needs discover some more rational being,” even though as a human he is already the most rational being there is. This is why swift refers to erasmus darwins discovery of the origin of the species and the voyage of the beagle to show how gulliver knows that people are at the top of the food chain.But if lemule gulliver is satirized,so are the houyhnhnms,whose voices sound like the call of castrati.

They walk on two legs instead of four, and seem to be much like people.As gulliver says, “it was with the utmost astonishment that I witnessed these creatures playing the flute and dancing a vienese waltz.To my mind,they seemed like the greatest humans ever seen in court,even more dextrous than the lord edmund burke.”As this quote demonstrates,gulliver is terribly impressed,but his admiration for the houyhnhnms is short lived because they are so prideful.For instance,the leader of the houyhnhnms claims that he has read all the works of charles dickens,and that he can singlehandedly recite the names of all the kings and queens of england up to george ii.Swift subtly shows that this houyhnhnms pride is misplaced when,in the middle of the intellectual competition,he forgets the name of queen elizabeths husband.

Swifts satire of the houyhnhnms comes out in other ways as well.One of the most memorable scenes is when the dapple grey mare attempts to woo the horse that guenivre has brought with him to the island. first she acts flirtatiously,parading around the bewildered horse.But when this does not have the desired effect,she gets another idea: “as I watched in amazement from my perch in the top of a tree,the sorrel nag dashed off and returned with a yahoo on her back who was yet more monstrous than mr.Pope being fitted by a clothier.She dropped this creature before my nag as if offering up a sacrifice.My horse sniffed the creature and turned away.”

It might seem that we should take this scene seriously as a failed attempt at courtship,and that consequently we should see the grey mare as an unrequited lover.But it makes more sense if we see that swift is being satiric here:It is the female houyhnhnm who makes the move,which would not have happened in eighteenth century england. the houyhnhm is being prideful,and it is that pride that makes him unable to impress gullivers horse. gulliver imagines the horse saying,sblood,the notion of creating the bare backed beast with an animal who had held mr.Pope on her back makes me queezy.

A final indication that the houyhnmns are not meant to be taken seriously occurs when the leader of the houynhms visits lilliput,where he visits the french royal society.He goes into a room in which a scientist is trying to turn wine into water (itself a prideful act that refers to the marriage at gallilee).

The scientist has been working hard at the experiment for many years without success,when the houyhnmn arrives and immediately knows that to do: “the creature no sooner stepped through the doorway than he struck upon a plan. slurping up all the wine in sight, he quickly made water in a bucket that sat near the door.”

He has accomplished the scientists goal,but the scientist is not happy,for his livelihood has now been destroyed.Swifts clear implication is that even though the houyhnhmns are smart,they do not know how to use that knowledge for the benefit of society,only for their own prideful agrandizement.

Throughout gullivers travels,the houyhnhms are shown to be an ideal gone wrong.Though their intent might have been good,they dont know how to do what they want to do because they are filled with pride.They mislead gulliver and they even mislead themselves.The satire on them is particularly well explained by the new born houyhnhm who,having just been born, exclaims,“with this sort of entrance,what must I expect from the rest of my life!”

Recently, I have read the famous novel “Gone with The Wind” by Margaret Mitchell. Each character in this book gave me a great impression.

At beginning of the book, I think Scarlet was a beautiful, lucky woman. So many young men were in love with her and they always stayed around her. But in fact ,Scarlet was not the lucky woman I thought . She was fell in love with Ashley Wilkes, but the man was not like the other boys around her. when then news came that Ashley would be married with Melanie ,she felt surprised and even couldn’t accept the fact. With the psychology of revenging Ashley, Scarlett married to Melanie’s brother before the day of Ashley’wedding.

Soon after the war broke out , many young man died ,including Scarlett’s husband. Scarlett became a widow. She couldn’t stand the boring life, so when Melanie invited her to the home of Charles’s aunt. Without more consideration ,Scarlett left for Atlanta.

One time hospital hold a party to collect contributions. Then at the party ,she met Rhett buther, the man who loves her at first sight. Although Scarlett didn’t show any good feeling to him, Rhett buther always companied her and made her happy. For several reasons, she married again,but Rhett still loved her. When her second husband died, he asked Scarlett married him. Because he believed that he understoodher and he can bring her happy. After several month ,they got married. Their life became better and happier. Later they had a litte daughter, Bonnie. Rhett loved his lovely daughter just like the way he loved Scarlett. But Scarlett still loved Ashley. Unfortunitily, Bonnie died when she rided the horse. Rhett was hurt so badly that he couldn’t stand living with Scarlett,and he decided to leave. Although Scarlett’s love was end up with tragedy. But from her attitude for life,we could know that she was a strong woman.she never gave up facing endless difficulties.when the war was terrible, everything was in confusion ,Scarlett had to take Melanie left back to home, the Tara Plantation. Hopefully she wanted her parent’s help. But to her surprise, her mum had died and her father was out of normal. Situation have became more difficult. While Melanie was going to give birth to a baby. Scarlet made her mind on taking on the task. In order to keep living ,Scarlett even went to work on farm ,she planted cotton. Melanie was in poor health, but she still went to help Scarlett to do farm work. She believed Scalett and gave her unselfish love. With Menlanie’s love,Scarlett supported her home,but at this time ,she still didn’t realize how important Melanie for her. In order to solve the problem of the Tara plantation,she married to Frank. In order to make a living she also did business which was unbelievable for women in this time. She struggled with countless difficulties, but she never gave up. She still believed “Tomorrow is a new day”。

Another girl that I loved in this book is Melanie,she was very kind and gentle. She never doubted the relationship between Scarlett and Ashley, she always standed in the side of Scarlett. Although Scarlett hated her and even wanted her to die. She still believed Scalett and treated Scarlett as her best friend. Melanie loved her husband ,when her husband was fighting in the war, she always waited for him. She didn’t have the strength to give birth, but she still wanted to have a baby for Ashley, finally, she died.

These three main characters in the book are all very obvious, but different. They gave me a impression. Scarlett was a plain girl, but what she did was not plain. She didn’t stay silent during the war, she changed her own life by strugling. In fact, many people lost what they have like Scarlett,but they all gave up to strive for the happiness that essentially belonged to them. Scarlett have the braveness to change the situation. But the pity was that she didn’t recognize the real love belong her in time. If she could got deep understanding of Ashley, she may not love him. If she could open her heart to Rhett and understand him, she may realized her love to Rhett. Sometimes I couldn’t help thinking that why the author can write this moved story. Maybe she have the similar experiences.

On the whole, this is a wonderful book, I feel very grateful that I can read it. I could get many benefits from it.

小说描写的是一个年近六旬的老渔夫，在一次单身出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，却拉不上来。老渔夫同鱼周旋了几天后，才发现这是一条超过自己渔船数倍的大马林鱼，虽然明知很难取胜，但仍不放弃。后来又因大马林鱼伤口上的鱼腥味引来了几群鲨鱼抢食，但老人仍不愿就这样放弃，最终突出重围，将大鱼带回了渔港，让其他渔夫佩服不已。

西游记是我从小读到大的一本小说，小时候看的是绘本版的，小学的时候看过注音版的，今年暑假我看的是原版的。看完了西游记，令我印象最深刻的是，孙悟空最后被如来佛祖压在五行山下，而他为什么会走到这一步呢?那是因为他犯的错误像滚雪球一样，越滚越大。

从孙悟空得道开始，他就不停的犯错，他大闹龙宫，强索披挂;大闹地府，阴司除名，这几次天宫诸神都忍了，还招安他上天庭做官。虽然官小，但是当官也是一步一步当起的。但是孙悟空都觉得官太小了，没打招呼就不负责任地弃官而去。这次天宫诸神怒了，派天兵下界抓他，可孙悟空却干下了嘲笑巨灵、棒打哪吒、对抗天兵的大错。最后天庭虽无奈，但却无法降服，只能又忍了他一次，并封他为齐天大圣，让他去管蟠桃园。他却在管蟠桃园后，监守自盗，偷吃了不少大桃。这时他还有改过自新的机会，因为这件事并没有铸成大错，可是他还不收手，又定住了前来摘桃的七仙女。至此他如果能够光明正大地申请去蟠桃会，也不会有人阻拦他，可是他偏不这样，反而骗走了赤脚大仙。而这时我想，如果他还想回头，也是有机会的。可是他却又去大闹蟠桃宴，醉闯了炼丹房，偷吃了五葫芦金丹，终于铸成大错，罪责难逃。我给他的罪名罗列了一下有：私闯民宅，入室盗窃闯龙宫;藐视法度，故意伤人闹地府;监守自盗，破坏公物大闹蟠桃会。

说到为什么会对着这一回合印象深刻，因为自己有时候也会像孙悟空一样，不知进退一错再错。有一次，我和爸爸两个人在家，妈妈却很晚没回来，我要给妈妈打电话，而爸爸说让我先不要打，我问也没有问原因，就生气的扔了电话。爸爸后来告诉我是怕妈妈在开车，打电话会影响他，但是我还是不停在那里发脾气，于是爸爸拔了电话线，而我呢，却一时冲动，没忍住自己的脾气，用剪刀剪断了电话线，还摔门而出。出了家门以后被冷风吹在身上，这时候才开始有一点点清醒，意识到自己刚才做错了。还好在街上碰到了回家的妈妈，他对我进行批评教育后，我回家和爸爸道了歉。事后我知道了这事本来只是小错，但是因为自己的一时冲动，却把小错变成了大错，最后摔门而出，就变得更加不可收拾。虽然我同情孙悟空，但是我也要以他的经历引以为戒，不要再一错再错。我可不想像他一样被压在五行山下500年啊!

看了西游记之后，我也知道孙悟空最后把他的本领用在帮助唐僧西天取经的正道上。他用金箍棒醉舞魔，用72般变化乱迷浊。不再去踏碎凌霄，也不再放肆桀骜，即使世道险恶，他也用他手中的金箍棒，让世间的妖魔鬼怪，灰飞洇灭。知错能改，不畏艰难，这才是孙悟空真正值得我佩服的地方。

读了《西游记》，我深有感触。尤其是曲折离奇的情节和唐僧师徒稀奇古怪的经历让我印象深刻。

《西游记》是我国古代四大名著之一，作者吴承恩。主要讲述唐僧和三个徒弟千辛万苦地降妖伏魔、历经九九八十一难、最后取得真经的故事。这本书以天马行空的绮丽想象向人们展示了师徒四人在茫茫的西行取经路上所遭遇的种种艰难险阻，并将这些千难万险幻化为险象环生的各种灾难，一场场与妖魔鬼怪之间斗智斗力的较量，令人大开眼界、叹为观止。书中的人物形象个性鲜明，各具特色，有诚实善良、一心向佛的唐僧，聪明机警、善恶分明的孙悟空，好吃懒做、爱耍小聪明的猪八戒，踏实可靠、寡言少语的沙僧。小说情节精彩纷呈，高潮迭起。个性是孙悟空大闹天宫、三打白骨精、真假美猴王、三借芭蕉扇等，既是家喻户晓的经典，也是我爱不释手的故事。

这本是英国的斯威夫特写的。讲的是一个叫格列佛的医生，他喜欢航海和冒险。有一次他坐船碰到大浪，船翻了。他游到岸边睡着了，被小人抓住了。后来他帮助这个国的小人，打败了另一个国的小人，他成为这个国的英雄。然后，他坐船回家了。又过了一段时间，他又坐船出海了。到了个小岛，格列佛去找淡水，船走了。格列佛被留在岛上了。被巨人农民抓到了。巨人农民让他表演节目赚钱，赚了很多钱。后来格列佛被王后买走了。他还用腰刀打败了老鼠和蜜蜂。国王和王后有一次带着格列佛到海边巡查，格列佛被老鹰抓走了，掉到了海里，被路过的船救了，他回家了。后来他还去了飞岛国和“慧骃”国。

通过读《格列佛游记》，我觉得格列佛是个非常善良，非常勇敢，非常聪明的人。我也想成为像格列佛这样的人，而且我读了他的冒险故事，我也很想去冒险，我也想去小人国和大人国看看。

最近读完了《西游记》原著，深有感触，实令人叹服吴承恩的想象力与文学底蕴。记得以前小时候不懂文言文，就已经对《西游记》有了初步的了解，现在读完原著，对此书更是感受颇深。无疑，《西游记》是一部极其成功的小说，其至今仍为人津津乐道，渊源流传。而其中最成功的部分，便是对人物的刻画与描写了，之所以成为举足轻重的文化瑰宝，这部分当然不可或缺，我在此便浅谈一下对此书的见解。

全文应分为三部分，哪三部分，曰：“第一部分为一至七回，写孙悟空出世直到大闹天宫，第二部分为八至十二回，写如来说法，观音访僧，魏征斩龙，唐僧身世及交代取经原因，第三部分包括第十三至第一百回，写悟空皈依佛门，与猪八戒，沙僧共同保护唐僧西天取经，一路斩妖除魔，最终修成正果的故事。第一部分大闹天宫几乎是全书最精彩的部分，是历来久演不衰，白看不厌的戏剧。塑造了一个神通广大，武艺高强，不惧强权，敢于斗争的故事，也因此成为了很多人心目中的英雄。第二部分写悟空皈依佛门，思想上有很大转变，由曾经的桀骜不驯变成了如今的样子，此部分表现了较多的封建宗教迷信思想。第三部分写师徒四人共同西天取经的故事，历经九九百十一难，终成正果，其中着重表现孙悟空的不畏艰险，勇往直前的形象，这部分也是全书中最令人津津乐道的话题。

在其中，也是充分表现了每个人的性格特点，下面便一一道来：唐僧乃金蝉子转世，因轻慢佛法转世成为唐僧，他念念不离善心，可谓“扫地恐伤蝼蚁命，爱惜飞蛾纱罩灯。”总体说是一个一心向善，意志坚定的好人。可有些时候却的确令人不敢恭维。有时唐僧昏庸糊涂，总会听从猪八戒的撺掇而对孙悟空念紧箍咒，他对妖怪仁慈，可却对悟空冷酷无情，真是令人难解，虽然他仁义忠厚，但不明是非，一味向善，懦弱无能，胆小如鼠，口头禅可谓是：“悟空救我!”虽然是取经路途中的支柱，可他的缺点着实不少，因此光芒也几乎被孙悟空的神通掩盖。

要说《西游记》中刻画最令人喜爱的人物，真非孙悟空莫属了!孙悟空不仅武艺高强，神通广大，还意志坚定，具有反叛精神，蔑视神权，见了玉皇大帝从不下跪，有时还直称玉皇大帝为“玉帝老儿”，称太白金星为“老官儿”，连三界中法力大的如来佛祖他也不放在眼里，竟骂他是“妖精的外甥”。真可谓是“勇敢顽强，意志坚定，侠肝义胆，重情重义。”猪八戒历来就是为人所不齿的人物，他原来是天篷元帅，因调戏嫦娥而被玉帝贬下凡间，他性格粗鲁憨直，取经信念不坚定，动不动便要分行李走人，他还常被孙悟空戏弄，常为此怀恨在心，总要在唐僧面前“参他一本”，而唐僧的不分好歹，人妖难辨更是助纣为虐。

他还昏庸自私，总用自己狭隘的胸襟去揣度别人的胸怀，而且贪恋女色，真可谓集众多骂名集一身。但他也并非无比小人，他狡黠而不__诈，贪小利而不忘大义，轻视利益，充满乐观精神。沙僧寡言少语，是卷帘大将临凡，西天取经路上，他与猪八戒负责行李马匹，同时也帮孙悟空斩妖擒怪，最后修成正果，成为金身罗汉，他是队伍中不折不扣的坚定分子，只一心要取经，每次八戒要散伙，他都会去制止，他还任劳任怨，默默奉献，只做一些自己力所能及的事，不刻意争功，当妖怪来袭，他明知自己本领不高，但依旧挺身而出，他还是最了解唐僧的人。

取经队伍中，最重要的就是人际关系，这个调和任务无人去做，而沙僧却做到了，他在默默的调节人际，为取经做出了重要贡献。《西游记》的描写从天上到地下，从龙宫到地府，都有着超凡的本领，表现了丰富的艺术想象力，尤其是人物的性格特征，使《西游记》成了我国不可多得的文化瑰宝。

放下《格列佛游记》，我的心久久不能平静。

《格列佛游记》是英国作家乔纳森·斯威夫特写的，是一部优秀的冒险讽刺小说。讲了主人公莱缪尔·格列佛在四个国家的所见所闻：他帮助满倾扎纷争的小人国解决战乱；在与世无争的巨国沦为皇后的宠物；参观整天忙着荒诞不经的假科学的飞岛国；而慧骃国则是一个马的国家，那儿的马是智慧与真诚的化身，他在哪儿受到了心灵的净化。作者借助这个故事对他自己的国家与人性的丑陋进行了辛辣的讽刺。

读完《格列佛游记》，我还在沉思中：慧骃国真是理想王国，那儿的马善通人性，它们朴实、善良、重视友谊、乐善好施，具有各种优良品德。而那里有种与人类十分相似的动物野胡，贪婪、残暴、狡诈。是啊，我们人类不正是这样吗？为了一点钱财和利益，动不动就产生矛盾。如果我们像慧骃一样，那世界会多么美好。让我们从现在做起，改掉自己的缺点，让人与人之间变的更加和谐，让地球更加美好。

就拿生活中的例子来说吧。有一次，我和爸爸去体育馆玩，发现门口新挂了一个牌子，上写：“任何车辆不得入内！”但是，一走进去，我发现，里面全是车。我很不解，便问爸爸：“为什么这里全是车呢？”爸爸说：“我想这些车的主人都是跟体育馆内部人员有关系的，所以才能停进来。”你看，这样滥用权力，人是完美的吗？

人，可不是十全十美的。

关上电视、电脑，合上书本，细细地回忆《西游记》的章章回回，慢慢地把整个剧情结合起来。好像还在告诉我们这样一个道理：要想取回真经，修成正果，出生并不重要。但首先要有悟空一样的本领，这也可能是作者把悟空的出现安排在前面的原因之一吧;接着要有唐僧一样的觉悟，这是关键，在整个取经过程中占有领导地位;还要有小白龙一样的尽职尽责，八戒一样的大肚，沙僧一样的实干。

具备了以上的本领、觉悟和精神还是远远不够的，还要与各路神仙搞好关系。让他们都知道有这么一个人或者一支团队在做这么一个事情。还有过正面接触，一起参加过盛会、喝过仙酒、品尝过仙丹或者打过架也行，但不要下结仇怨，主要是关键时刻他们能够伸出援助之手，或者能够借出手中的法宝也成。对妖妖怪怪也不可砍尽杀绝，得饶妖处且饶妖。虽然自古斜不压正，也要以惩戒、教育、招安修练为主，以打击、抓捕为手段。如果所有的妖怪或行使过妖术的神仙都共同地感觉到：“取回真经之日，便是他们死无葬身之时。”他们会抱团誓死阻挡，造成没有必要的杀戮。

上天的事情处理完了，不要忘记还要体恤凡生民情，他们是香火之根本，只有凡生民众香火兴旺，真经才能得以世代传诵。这样一来，取经便成了上承天意，下顺民情，修成正果指日可待。

利用一整个寒假的时间，我终于读完了四大名著之一的《西游记》，里面的故事十分精彩，我被书中的世界深深地吸引了。

在唐僧、猪八戒、孙悟空和沙和尚四人当中，我最喜欢的是孙悟空，他真不愧是当年大闹天庭的齐天大圣，既能腾云驾雾，上天入地，又会72般变化，火眼金睛，看透妖魔鬼怪变化等等。他聪明，机智又嫉恶如仇，一心一意保唐僧去西天取经，一路上降妖除怪，积德行善，为民除害。孙悟空是一个荡魔除邪、匡危扶倾的英雄豪杰。他以叱吒风云的战斗姿态，救民於水火，除霸於当道，表现了极大的救世热忱。套用神灵启示乌鸡国众僧的话语，他「专秉忠良之心，与人间报不平之事，济困扶危，恤孤念寡。」他还具有顽强执著、不屈不挠的英雄品质。在打白骨精、降平顶山和狮驼岭妖魔、借芭蕉扇等过程中，他都经历了一而再、再而三的战斗。

实际上，挫折、失败对孙悟空是常有的事，多少次濒临绝境、孤立无援，甚至被妖魔缴去金箍棒，他都从不气馁，往往吸取教训，计上心来，重新抖擞精神，继续作战，终於绝处逢生，赢得胜利。用孙悟空自己的话说：「老孙的买卖，原是这等做，一定先输后赢。」这生动地体现了英雄人物不畏艰险、前仆后继的顽强精神。

我也要学习他这种乐观向上，不怕困难，千方百计解决困难的精神。
