This is the first diary I’m writing in the youth summer camp.

Everything is new to me, new class, new teachers and new classmates. My

classmates are all good students and they can speak English well. I think I can

learn a lot from them, and I can make friends with them.

The teacher from china is full of emotion when giving a class. And her

class is very interesting. To my surprise our foreign teacher can speak chinese

very well, but in my opinion, her class is a little boring. She should have made

the class more active.

Compared to my school, Zhejiang University seems so big that it takes us a

few minutes to commute between the classroom and cafeteria.

一切对我来说都是新鲜的，新的班级，新的老师和新的同学。我的同学都是好学生，他们英语讲得很好。我想我可以从他们身上学到很多，我可以和他们交朋友。

这位来自中国的老师讲课时感慨万千。她的课很有趣。令我惊讶的是，我们的外教汉语讲得很好，但在我看来，她的课有点无聊。她本该让全班更活跃。

与我的学校相比，浙江大学似乎太大了，我们从教室到食堂之间要花上几分钟的时间。

正月十五，春节的另一大高潮——元宵，踩着噼噼啪啪的鞭炮声，踏着咚咚呛呛的锣鼓声，欢天喜地地来了!七点钟，人群像开了闸的洪水似的，奔涌而入，散布在大街小巷里。街边的大树上挂着柿子般的红灯笼，草丛里摇曳着或绿或紫的灯光，为元宵之夜的大街平添了几分诗情画意。

人群逐渐热闹起来，只见六七八岁的顽童，头戴红光闪烁的“虎耳朵”，手握红玻璃球似的冰糖葫芦，身穿崭新红亮的衣衫，显得红红火火、生气蓬勃;大人们一边闲聊，一边观赏着斑斓的霓红灯，一副兴味盎然、优哉游哉的样子;一对对老年夫妇手挽着手，肩搭着肩，在喧嚣的人群中，在柔和的灯光下，开辟出一片二人世界，回忆着当初的“罗漫蒂克”。公园入口，店铺门前，小贩们热情洋溢地叫卖着、招呼着，“牛、马、羊、虎、兔、龙、猴。”那一盏盏大大小小、五颜六色、形态各异的花灯，被传递到了大人小孩的手中，灯影摇曳、乐声鸣动，映照得大街如梦如幻，如诗如画。那一张张真实生动的脸庞、一片片缤纷的灯光和一阵阵动听的音乐，就这样构成了一幅虚实相接、情景交融的绵长画卷，真是“一夜花灯醉，只缘春意浓”呀!

“噼噼啪啪。”一串串闪动着火光的鞭炮从天而降，像一些调皮的孩子，跳着、笑着，将元宵的踩街活动托向一个新的高潮。“嗖——嗖”随着一声声清脆的爆响，无数拖着烟雾状长尾的“种子”冲上云霄，绽开万朵金莲：有的凝聚成一个彩球，滴溜溜打着旋儿;有的如天女散花，挥撒得四周一片灿烂;有的绽放如花，飞泻似雨，所过之处犹如天幕中的花园。真是“忽如一夜春风来，千束万束礼花开”!一片片烟花不断地绽开，不断地闪烁，璀璨夺目，宛若人间的天籁，天堂的交响，一曲未毕，已如点点涟漪，散如落花，垂至人们的心头，久久也不退散。

恍然间，几盏孔明灯进入了我的视野，它们随风飘荡，却如星星般永远闪烁，正如那些平常疏远的，古老而传统的东西，不论多久，都会承载着希望与美好，一直陪人们走下去。今夜元宵，正如那圆圆的汤圆，甜密、祥和，圆圆满满。

I made a decision today. Becuase I often lose my confidence, I decide tell

myself ‘go’ in front of mirror after getting up every day. I believe this will

make me confident. Thus, I can do things I want bravely. Now, I will say, ‘Keep

going’.

今天，我做了一个决定，有的时候我会不自信。所以我要每天早上起床后对着镜子说一遍加油。因为我认为那样会使我变得自信。那样，我就可以大胆的去做一些我想要做却会紧张的事。现在，我要说一句：加油!

This winter holiday I stayed at home. I am happy because my father and my

mother could spend more time with me during the Spring Festival. Besides, on the

eve of the Spring Festival, we had a great family reunion dinner and then we

watched Spring Festival Party on CCTV1. Sometimes, I reviewed my lessons. I had

a very wonderful holiday.

如今，过元宵节的时候，北方人称其为元宵，在南方确称“汤圆。这些与“团圆“音近，取团圆之意，又逢十五月圆之夜，象征着全家人团团圆圆，和睦幸福，人们也用此来思念离别的新人。

I used to hate others to laugh at me, because I thought they were looking

down upon me. My friends said that I was too serious and couldn’t be made fun

of. When I go out with friends, they always smile loudly and I just sit quietly

in the corner. I want to change this situation, I don’t want to be a outsider, I

want to be part of the group. So I watch many comic movies and start to play

jokes with my friends. I become more active now, when my friends play jokes on

me, I will laugh happily and play jokes on them. I take the easy mood and become

part of the group.

今天的第二节课是英语课，我们班不时传出一阵阵笑声，为什么呢？我先买个关子。往下看你就知道了。

这时，老师笑着说：“好了，现在我们选两位同学当桥。”“我”“我”……同学们争先恐后地把手举得高高的，我也不例外。最终，我和尚府荣幸地被选为‘桥’。我们两把手举得高高的，全班同学都排好队，“london,bridge.……”歌曲响起来了，同学们一个接一个地迅速从“桥”穿过去。突然，歌声戛然而止，我们的“桥”倒了，华南被“压”住了。“表演节目，表演节目！”同学们异口同声地喊着。华南没有办法，只好慢悠悠地走上讲台，不甘情愿地站在台上。这时，潇文自自告奋勇地要替华南将个笑话，华南听了，像抓到救命稻草似的，脸上顿时堆满笑容。

潇文走上讲台，讲了一个笑话。大家听了，都笑得前俯后仰，我差点笑倒在地上。“叮——”下课铃响了，一堂有趣的英语课就这样过去了。

It was the third day of our winter holiday. Today, there are many business in my mothers company. So my mother told me to help my uncle who is the manager of my mothers company. I sat in my mothers office and help her answer the telephone. While I was free, I was writing my homework. Although I also have a lot of time to do my homework, I still do it. Today is my shopping day.I wanted to buy some delicious food.there were many kinds of food.I wanted to eat more vegetables and more fruits.I wanted to eat apples in order to lose weight.I liked eating bananas,straw berries,pears and watermelons,I wanted to buy some books,I thought they can help me study not long after my holidays,I wanted to buy a pair of golves for myself because my golves were lost.And I bought some CDs.

Today I feel I like Mrs. Tian’s English class more than before. In her

class we can learn knowledge in the game. In her class, she makes an experiment:

she puts many salt in the water, then put an egg in this salty water. The egg is

floating. I love this English class.

Today, I still went to my mothers office. My mother was very busy, so was my father. They always live in Beijing. They must get up early. Because they will manage the factory. Dreams and Reality

When we talk about dreams, we are so excited, we have many dreams, such as

being a famous person, traveling around the world and so on.

Dreams are what we pursue for a lifetime, with many dreams, we have

motivation to fight for our life. The opposite side of dream is reality, we have

to face reality everyday, reality is what we perceive in our life.

Reality always frustrates us to be successful. We need to balance them.

First, we need to face reality, though it is not ideal, we live in a world, we

have to know exactly who we are. Second, to make our dreams come true, we need

to adjust our dreams according to the reality。

The Olynpic Games The Olympic Games, first held in 776BC, has a history of more than one thousand yiars. The Games is held every four years. Many countries try their best to bid forhosting the Olympic Games. And every country does its best to get more medals in the Games. In 2000, the city of Sidney held the 27th Olympic Games. Over one hundred countries all over the world took part in it. We won 28gold medals that year. China, a major sport country, will hold the 29th Olympic Games in 2008. People from all walks of life are participating in various activities and making good preparations for it. Now, the new term begins. I live the life normal as before. Every morning,

I get up at 6:30. After washing, I eat breakfast at home. My mother always cooks

delicious and nutritious breakfast for me. I usually go to school at 7:20 by

bike. It only takes me ten minutes to get to the school. We have the morning

reading at 7:40 and the classes begin from 8:00. I usually have Chinese, math,

English and other subjects. I go home at noon and have a short rest at home.

Classes are over at 5:30. I usually play at school for a while and then go home.

At night, I usually finish my homework and then watch TV. About 10:00, I go to

bed. This is my all day.

Mingming came to my house today. We spent some time playing computer games.

We played basketball game online. I chose NBA and Mingming had to take CBA. Of

course, I won finally. We had a good time.

一、日记的格式

英文日记通常由书端和正文两个部分组成。而日记常以第一人称记下当天生活中的所见、所闻、所做或所想的事情。中、英文的日记三格式大致一样。英语日记的书端是专门写日记的日期、星期和天气的。左上角是日期(年、月、日)、星期。右上角写上当天的天气情况，如：sunny, fine, rainy, windy, snowy, cloudy等。

1、日期表达有多种形式。年、月、日都写时，通常以月、日、年为顺序，月份可以缩写，日和年用逗号隔开。例如： december 18, xx 或者 dec. 18, xx

a) september 1, xx或september 1st, xx也可省略写成sept. 1, xx或sept. 1st, xx；b)the 1st of september in xx(月份不可以缩写)

b)只有月、日

以上的1或1st都应读作the first。

2.星期也可以省略不写，可将其放在日期前或后，星期和日期之间可以不用标点，但要空一格，星期也可缩写。

3.天气情况必不可少。天气一般用一个形容词如 :sunny, fine, rainy, snowy 等表示。写在日期之后，用逗号隔开，位于日记的右上角。如：

二、日记的要求

日记的正文是日记的主要部分，写在星期和日期的正下方，可以顶格写，也可以内缩3至5个字母的空间。但由于记载的内容通常已经发生，谓语动词多用一般过去时。但也可根据具体情况，用其它时态。如：记叙天气、描写景色，为了描写生动，可以使用现在时，以表现当时的情景。再如文后发表感想或评论可用现在时态或将来时态。记日记力求简单明了，有连贯性。若有文字提示，则应重视提示，把握要点。在句式上尽量使用简单句，以防繁杂，造成语法、句型错误。

三、日记的类型和训练

日记分为记事型、议论型、描写型和抒情型。建议大家在学习写日记的过程中，可按以下步骤进行：

①将一天所经历的主要事情和过程依次简要地记下来，不附加任何感情色彩，这是最简单的记日记的方法；

②阅读别人的日记，并利用所学过的句型来表达个人在一天中观察到的或感受到的事情。

Family Reunion and Feasting

mark the day. Though historians dont have an evidence to prove that turkey was

eaten during the first Thanksgiving dinner, the thanksgiving celebration will be

incomplete without it.

Wednesday July 20th 2005

Today is Wednesday. It’s the third day of the summer camp. The weather isn’t very good. It reined all the time, and the wind blowed strongly. So I don’t feel happy. And the umbrella is too small for two persons my sister and me water always fell down into my shoes, so my feet got wet. It’s uncomfortable. I think it was really a bad day.

Today, we saw two films, but we only saw half of them. Lion King is very interesting. Tomorrow we will finish watching that. I hope this will get a good ending. Also our Chinese teacher changed a lot. I started to listen to his lessons.

This evening, we three taught Cathy about the language in my hometown. We said a word and then she guessed. She is really very clever. She can understand most of me said, and Mr.Zhang told us something about the ways to study English. I don’t agree with him. I think everyone has his (her) own best way to study English, right?

I hope tomorrow it will be sunny and we can travel around Zhejiang University, I hope so.
