How to learn English well

English is important and useful to us. How can we learn it well? Here are

my suggestions.

First, we should often listen to the tapes, English songs and programs.

Watching English movies is also helpful to us. Second, we should speak English

in class as much as possible. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. The more you

speak, the fewer mistakes you’ll make. Wed better join the English club and

practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines.

A Trip to Beijing

My American friend Tom and I went to Beijing by plane last summer.

On the first day，we visited the Palace Museum and Tiananmen Square. The next day，we climbed the Great Wall. We took lots of photos. Although we felt tired，it was a fantastic experience. The third day we relaxed. Then we had the Beijing roast duck for lunch. I think it is the most delicious food in the world. Tom is interested in Chinese culture，so we drank tea and saw Beijing Opera in Lao She Teahouse in the evening. Finally，we did some shopping and flew back to Guilin.

The trip to Beijing was short，but it was wonderful. Tom said that he would never forget it.

How time flies! I have studied in my school for three years. And I will

graduate from middle school in a month. I am eager to share my happiness and

sadness with you. I had so many memories in three years’ life. One of them

impressed me very much. I still remember, when I began to learn English, I found

Last month I went to Beijing to visit one of my friends, because we haven’t seen each other for about two years and I got a holiday meanwhile. The environmental pollution is worse and worse /more and more seriously today. Water is polluted; we have no clean water to drink. Many trees are cutting down, some animals is getting less and less. Some factories are pouring dirty air in the sky, the population is increasing faster and faster, resources are getting less and less…etc. Not only does it affect our lives and health, it but also has a great affection in the future. Peoples health has been greatly affected by air, noise and water pollution. Many people died of diseases. In order to live a better life, we need protect our world。

We shouldnt throw away rubbish everywhere. We want to recycle, reduce, reuse things .Dont waste things. This saves money and reduces pollution. Use things for as long as possible. Usually Saturday night is the time for students to get back to their desks

and do their weekend homework. Six school days are enough for the students who

have many other interests.

I think weekend homework should not be given. With homework arranged for

Saturday night and the whole of Sunday, when can he find time to help around the

house, play a game of football or see a good film, or just relax?

In fact weekend homework is usually put off until Sunday night. As a result
