Chusok ("fall evening") is a Korean "Harvest Moon" (Han-gawi) festival set

on the 15th day of the eighth lunar moon. Chusok (韩国中秋节)， also known as the

Korean Thanksgiving or Mid-Autumn Festival， is one of the most celebrated Korean

holidays. It occurs during the harvest season. Thus， Korean families take this

time to thank their ancestors for providing them with rice and fruits.

The celebration starts on the night before Chusok and ends on the day after

the holiday. Thus， many Korean families take three days off from work to get

together with family and friends.

The celebration starts with a family get-together at which rice cakes

called "Songphyun" (蒸糕) are served. These special rice cakes are made of rice，

beans， sesame seeds， and chestnuts. Then the family pays respect to ancestors by

visiting their tombs and offering them rice and fruits. The Koreans visit the

graves of their ancestors to bow and clean the area for the coming winter. In

the evening， children wear their favorite hanbok (traditional Korean clothing)

and dance under the bright moon in a large circle. They play games and sing

songs. Like the American Thanksgiving， Chusok is the time to celebrate the

family and give thanks for their blessings.

Community activities include masked dance， Kanggangsuwollae， an ancient

circle dance， tug-of-wars and the tortoise game， kobuk-nori (乌龟游戏)， in which two

men dress as a tortoise and tour the village dancing and performing for food and

drink. Most of all， Chusok is a time to give thanks for the autumn harvest and

reaffirm familial and community ties.

Teachers Day

September 10 is our Teachers’ Day. In the afternoon, Zhonghua school held a celebration meeting, at which more than twenty old teachers each were praised with a medal for their over thirty years of teaching. Our principal made an enthusiastic speech at the meeting, and then the representative of the teachers and students gave a talk to us. After the meeting, we started performances played by some teachers and students, which were very interesting and instructive. We all had a wonderful time. I think we all should respect the teachers, engineers of human soul.

because our country is still a developing country and few people can afford

private cars. The demand for a means of transport is met by making millions of

bicycles available.

Riding a bicycle has a lot of advantages over driving a car. First, it is a

physical exercise to ride a bicycle. In contrast, sitting in the car, one tends

to gain weight. Besides, it is much more economical to ride a bike than drive a

car. On the one hand, the only fee a bike-rider has to pay is the annual tax.

今年的9月19日是中秋节。在我的印象中，中秋节是一个合家团圆、喜庆吉祥的好日子，家家品着香甜的月饼，观赏着夜空中的明月，那种意境真美!

过年的第一个乐趣是人多热闹。我记得有一年的大年初三，刚吃过早饭不大功夫就有亲友来串门，一直到晚上八九点钟，客人还络绎不绝。二姨三姨姑姥爷舅姥爷姨姥爷表舅表姨表兄表弟表姐表妹，好像全天下的亲戚都在这一天聚集到一起了，中午吃饭时，至少摆了10张桌子，姥姥家五个窑洞那么老大的院子都呆满了人，真有点摩肩接踵人声鼎沸的样子。令我自豪的是，我在院子里和所有的小孩比赛踢毽子，居然打败天下无敌手。

过年的第二件乐趣不用说就是吃。姥姥把收藏多日的红枣、花生、红薯干和柿饼都翻腾出来，姥爷则把放在院子角落里已经盖上一层厚厚白雪的大竹筐掀开盖儿，露出里面冻得鲜红的软得要化了的烘柿。更不用说中午那顿饭了，那是把一辈子的吃食都放在了一起，有白面烙馍、白面蒸馍、炸油角、素丸子、牛肉丸子、鸡肉丸子、扣肉、小酥肉，还有冰糖莲子百合汤等等。那个时候大人小孩都顾不上客气，一盘菜上桌三口两口就被抢光了。因为大家的的肚子都太空了，在平常的日子里连玉米面饼子都吃不上的。所以，碰上能吃饱的时刻谁都顾不上脸面了。

今天是情人节，我们一家去人民公园赏花灯，大街上人山人海，到处散发着玫瑰的花香，我的心情也是格外的好哇。过了6点，公园里的花灯就亮起来了。进了公园，首先映入眼帘的是一个漂亮的大花灯，看着如同看到了流星雨，美丽的光芒在空中划过一道道美丽的弧线，映衬着这些漂亮的花灯，也显得无限的美。往里走，就有红灯笼编队来迎接你。“红红的灯笼真漂亮!”不知是谁发一声感慨，把我们的注意力都吸引到了这边来。我们看着这样美丽的红灯笼，陶醉在这样一种喜庆的气氛中。再往里走，就到了公园的大广场。

大广场里可谓是人山人海，不仅有世博会花灯、外星人花灯、动画片里的人物花灯、二人转表演花灯、千手观音花灯、老虎一家人花灯，还有很多有趣好看的花灯。最好笑的莫过于二人转花灯了，音箱里播放着小沈阳与赵本山演的二人转节目，生动活泼有趣，舞台上小沈阳和演员们还动来动去，让我们这些看花灯的人感觉到看花灯的趣味。最科技化的就是外星人花灯了，外星人花灯表现了一个外星人基地，上面驻扎满了飞碟、核动力飞行器，还有少数外星人在看着我们。看到这样的花灯，我真希望以后能见到真的外星人，与他们交流、联系，这将是多么美好的事情啊!最有趣的是喜羊羊与灰太狼花灯。

这个场面特别有意思，灰太狼和它的老婆——红太狼被喜羊羊它们抓住了，被绑在火箭上。这一有趣的场面多么令人开心啊!夜更深了，花灯夜显得更明亮了。我们只得依依不舍的离开人民公园，和这美丽的花灯说声再见。这次赏花灯，我们一家饱尽了眼福。真是情人节里快乐多，有了花灯不寂寞啊!

小时候，最盼的就是过年，总有许多好吃的，好玩的，噼里啪啦的爆竹总是让人很怀念。整个春节都是喜气洋洋的，最喜欢在这种热闹的日子里约上几个朋友一块出去走走。 When I was young, the most hoped is the New Year. There are always many delicious, fun, crackling firecrackers.The whole Spring Festival is full of joy, and I like to go out for a few friends on this lively day.

孩子们当然也没闲着，大一点的要么去厨房帮忙，还有打扫卫生，小一点的孩子在白天一般耐不住性子，会三五成群地结伴出去放鞭炮。

除夕这一天还得扎灯笼，小孩子们也帮忙，不仅扎门前院里挂的灯笼，也扎晚上孩子自己提的灯笼。有些人家自己扎，不少人家觉得麻烦，直接从外面买。不过，老一辈的人一向是自己扎，因为对于他们来说，在特定的时间亲手做特定的东西，已经成为了一种习惯。

晚上才是重头戏，鞭炮声要响一整个晚上。一家人聚在一起吃年夜饭————其实也就是杂烩。整盆的年菜，整盆的馒头，一段出来就让人独自直叫。大人都要喝酒，女人们聊着些家常，孩子们也在吃东西。还必须把菜加给孩子和长辈们。

吃过年夜饭后，最耐不住的就是孩子们，会拿着早就扎好的灯笼出门。除夕晚上是很热闹的，这天晚上分外亮堂。孩子们人手一盏灯笼，有纸糊的，有动物的，有卡通的，还有电动的，自然是琳琅满目。

这天晚上是一年中最吵的。每个孩子都会放炮，不到天亮绝对不会停。

中秋节到了，又可以吃月饼，放烟花咯!

我和爸爸妈妈早早就购买了火车票，准备乘坐火车回老家。我最期待的`就是回去放烟花了。

周六18：30，我们坐上了火车，由于我们坐的是一等座，所以人不是很多。我在火车上翻来覆去睡不着，就开始了折腾。玩牌呀，攀爬椅子呀，玩得不亦乐乎。妈妈说，我好像已经违反了火车上的规则，再瞎折腾就会有乘警来抓我了，我才老实下来，开始安安静静地坐在椅子上，盘算着回到家之后应该玩什么。

21：20，我回到了老家，见到了爷爷、奶奶、大伯、大伯母、堂哥。爷爷奶奶看到我回来笑得合不拢嘴。我告诉他们，我专门给他们带了自己做的冰皮月饼，馅料是特制的，不太甜。因为我知道，奶奶不吃外面买的月饼，说太甜。看见我这么贴心，奶奶乐开了花，她对我说：“松松，如果你没带月饼回来，我就没月饼吃了。”

把月饼交给奶奶后，我风一样地爬到了六楼。哇!竟然有这么多烟花，一、二、三、四……我数了数，有二十四桶，今晚可以让我放个够啦。开始放烟花了，拿着点着的香烟，看着短短的引子，我一开始有点害怕，不敢点。但放到第三桶烟花时，我的胆子大了起来。我站在烟花面前，半蹲着身子，盯着烟花的引子，很镇静地伸手让香烟的火焰接触到引子，看到引子开始闪火花了，我就立刻把手收回来，掉头快步离开。过了2、3秒钟，五彩缤纷的烟花像喷泉一样喷洒出来，在头顶绽放，照亮了夜空，看得我心花怒放。

快到22点的时候，姑姑一家也过来了，还带来了手工榴莲蛋糕。我一边放烟花，一边吃着冰皮月饼和榴莲蛋糕，别提多开心了。烟花放完后，我们一家人一起赏月，一起聊天，一起听着柔和的音乐，玩着玩着，就到了深夜。

这是我度过的第十个中秋节，也是玩得最过瘾的一个中秋节。我感受到了家人对我的爱，一家人在一起的感觉真好!

但是今天的端午节，更多是为了纪念爱国诗人屈原。相传赛龙舟，就是为了捞救投汨罗江而死的爱国诗人屈原。把粽子投到江河，是为了不让鱼蛟虾蟹吃屈原的遗体。在这里，我给大家讲一个屈原的故事。相传春秋战国时期，中原大地以齐、楚、燕、韩、赵、魏、秦七国为雄，它们各国之间为争夺土地，使中原大地战火连天。当时，屈原是楚国的左徒官，他劝楚怀王要仁治，不要听信小人谗言，可怀王不但不听，还听信谗言革职屈原。悲愤痛心的屈原下了不朽的诗篇——《离骚》和《天问》。公元前278年，楚国被秦国攻破，屈原精神受到了极大的打击，面对国破家亡，百姓疾苦，自己却无能为力，于是在极度失望和痛苦中，抱石投入长江东边的汨罗江。闻讯赶来的楚国百姓纷纷划船，到江中打捞屈原的尸体，并拿来了粽子投入江中喂鱼蛟虾蟹，让它们不要啃吃屈原的尸体。两千多年过去了，但诗人屈原的形象却依然留在人们心间。如今，每到农历五月初五，人们就要划龙舟，吃粽子，来纪念这位伟大的诗人。

当然，各地的风俗习惯不尽相同，但都要吃粽子、插艾叶、戴香包、赛龙舟。我们这儿除了上述的这些，还有送绿豆糕、吃绿豆糕的习惯。

端午节是我最喜欢的节日。不仅仅因为它能吃粽子和绿豆糕，更因为它是对伟大爱国诗人屈原的怀念。

“君自故乡来，应知故乡事，来日绮空前，寒梅着花未?”——王维的《杂诗》每次我读它，最让我难忘的是远在新加坡的大姨，特别是今年这个中秋节。

妈妈拿回一盒月饼，她知道我最爱吃的是蛋黄饼，就打开盒子，拿一块给我吃，当我捧起这块月饼，不禁陷入沉思，想起雅珊大姨，那是我还在读幼儿园大班时，她来到我家，住了两年，她常常带我出去玩，送我去学舞蹈，教我画画、唱歌，两年的中秋节都是她带我去买蛋黄饼回来吃，可是天下哪有不散的宴席，她为了理想和前程，离开亲人，远度重洋去了新加坡，半工半读，我们就这样难分又难舍，望着手中月饼，我不禁热泪盈眶……

“开饭喽!“妈妈大呼小叫，端上一盘月饼，放在饭桌上，“一个，两个，三个……九个，十个……”我一边吃一边数，我问爸爸：“能不能寄两个月饼给大姨!”爸爸说：“路途太远了，这样吧，等你吃完了饭，去QQ上下载一盆中秋月饼，给大姨发送过去，以表你的祝福和思念。

晚饭后， 我上网搜索到一块十分精致的月饼，写上祝词，通过QQ单击一下，我乐滋滋地想着，大姨见到月饼开心的表情，“嘀嘀”三秒钟不到，大姨发了一张笑脸和一块十分可口的蛋黄月饼给我，我感到无比的甜蜜，高科技信息时代真好哇!能让人即瞬间实现美好的愿望，拉近亲人与亲人之间的思念距离。

这一夜，我睡得很甜，梦见亲人团聚举杯欢庆的场面，我不尽思念，陶醉在甜蜜的遐想中……

I like reading very much because reading is the ladder of human progress.

What’s more, reading brings us not only endless fun but also opportunities.

There are many available books for us to choose from, like history books,

science books, literary books and so no. But what interests me most in history

books---over the long course of history, the Chinese nation has witnessed

changes of dynasties, transfers of governments, and foreign powers in modern

history. This makes me realize the great responsibility of the development of

the motherland. Therefore, we should study hard for the rise of the Chinese.

I sincerely hope that everyone can absorb more nutrients and cultivate a

more noble character through reading.

Recently, the haze weather has increasingly been serious and this

phenomenon triggers the widespread concern towards air quality. In my view of

the point, the best way to improve air quality is to tax the owner of private

car.

There are reasons accounting for my view. To begin with, there is no

denying that gas emission of private car is a great evil of air pollution.

To tax the owner of private car will make some contribution to cut down gas

emission and improve air quality. Furthermore, the tax also has a great impact

on decreasing the rate of car’s increase. Those who have a plan to buy a car

will take the tax into account and some of them have to give up their plan. If a

lot of people can use public transportation instead of private cars, the air

quality will not be so rotten. In addition, taxing for private car is also a

warning of environment protection. The notion of environment protection will be

brought to public again and an increasing number of people will be awake to the

importance of air protection and environment protection and make effort to

protect it. Finally, the government can use the tax as funds of improving the

air quality, which will be a great help to raise fund.

Taking above into account, I believe that taxing the owner of private car

is the best way to improve air quality. Certainly, we can carry out other

methods to improve it at the same time, such as planting trees, developing

public transportation and so on. I advocate that all of us should take pains to

protect our environment and we will lead a better life.

的确，友谊对一个人的成长来说是十分重要的。小时候有情同手足的伙伴;长大了有“心有灵犀的”死党正是这些知心朋友，在自己成长的路上给自己莫大的鼓舞和奋发向上的力量，使自己不畏艰辛、还记得，在你哭泣时，朋友的一个拥抱吗?还记得，在你取得成功时，朋友那比你还激动的笑脸吗?还记得，在你生日时，那一件件简单单却费尽心思送给你的礼物吗?

跋山涉水最终达到了“目的地”!淡淡友谊满衣袖，真正的朋友不需要太多的客套，只要一个眼神就好;但彼此之间深厚的友谊永远不会因为“各在一方”而改变依依不舍的挥手相送。固然有时会“劝君更饮一杯酒，西出阳关无故人”;固然有时会“夕阳西下，断肠人在天涯”。

但“海内存知己”就足够。……只要怀揣爱与关怀，又何愁前路无知真正的友谊是一杯绵厚醇香的酒，岁月愈久，味道愈香。真正的友谊是一杯清香淡雅的茶，日子越久，余味留存的时间也就越长!“患难见真情，烈火见真金”这是我们，对朋友的要求，同时也是判断友谊真伪的一种标准;更是说明友谊需要提炼、升华。

在酒桌上称兄道弟、顺利时前呼后拥的友谊不是真友谊;而是在得意时的忠言逆耳、落魄时给你殷殷关切之言的友谊是真友谊。因为它不仅不因名利的诱惑而奉承，而且在困难中得到验证、得到升华。俗话说，人生得一知己足矣，千金易得，朋友难求。朋友是人的精神生活中一个重要的组成部分，没有友谊的人，就像生活在寂寞的荒野;缺乏朋友的人，最能感受人间的孤独。

人们需要友谊，追求友谊，是因为真诚的友谊可以使人奋发，使人欣慰，使人快乐，使人向前。

I think reading is important in the whole life for people. There are many benefits of reading. Firstly, reading increases our knowledge and we can learn the world affairs without going out. Secondly, reading is a good way to improve reading and writing skills. Before you learn to write, you must know how others write. Thirdly, reading can broaden our knowledge and horizon, which is important to job hunting in the future. Finally, reading helps us become self-cultivation that would be beneficial to our whole life. Therefore, start to reading, no matter how old you are and what you are doing. Then, you may find the great charm and benefits of reading.

星期一的早晨，妈妈送我去文化馆学英语。

我们到了二楼的一间教室，看见里面已经有很多小朋友了。妈妈叫我找个座位坐下来。这时老师进来了，老师请家长们先出去，因为我们要上课了。老师先作自我介绍，老师说：“我姓‘蔡’，不是青菜的‘菜’，而是蔡文姬的‘蔡’。”他还介绍了自己的英文名字‘miss蔡’。然后老师给我们发了书，老师说“学英语很简单，我可以教大家一个诀窍，先认清字母，再读准单词的音。老师叫我们打开a本书，开始叫我们读单词，再读句子。我学会早上好（goodmorning）、猴子（monkey）、熊猫（panda）和其他单词。下课之前，老师还布置了家庭作业。

虽然英语有点难，但是只要用心学，一定能学好。
