Before the 1960s, there was a trend of accelerated de- scending. The forest area was reduced by 1.66×108 hm2 (or 17% of the coverage rate) in 260 years. While after the 1960s, there has been a rapid increase. The forest area increased by 0.7×108 hm2 (or 8% of the coverage rate) in 40 years. The study also shows that there is a significant spatial difference in the dynamics of forest. The amplitudes of increasing and de- creasing in western China are both smaller than the ones in eastern China. During the rapid declining period from 1700 to 1949, the most serious decrease appeared in the Northeast, the Southwest and the Southeast, where the coverage rate in most provinces dropped over 20%. For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many had no work.

Everything has changed since liberation. The people, led by the Party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and flats. They have an assembly hall and a hospital. Along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. A lot of factories have sprung up. On the river, streamers and boats come and go busily, day and night. They carry the products of our industries to all parts of the country.

My name is Simon. Im 24 years old now. Im from Changsha University. I

major in English, because I have the gift for language study.

In my opinion, English is well-known all around the world. If I can speak

excellent English, I could travel to everywhere in the world without language

barriers. Now I can speak English like an American. Most of my classmates always

envy my oral English.

I like traveling very much. Through traveling, I can widen my perspective

and know more about our world. Now I have been to so many cities, such as

时间象流水，静静的从十指间流下，有感觉，却无法阻止，如初冬的天气凛冽的风夹杂着午后阳光的温和。让我去哀叹它的无情，但又矛盾的期待着感受着那一丝的温和。也许是风太凛冽，也许是阳光不够温和，在这样一个逝去的感恩节里，心却好像进入了严冬，只是在这一天，或者这一刻越过初冬而肆意的扎进严冬的怀抱，感恩节过去了，心还是无法顿时从严冬的记忆里回到原处，好像或者就是纯碎的一个傻瓜！

“过两天就是感恩节了”同学一句不经意的提醒，却好像使我找到了一个真正属于自己的灵魂一样的开心，兴奋！“感恩节那天你最想对谁说真心话，最想感谢谁?”一个幼稚的女生纠缠着不停的询问。“我要感谢的人很多，但我只会对两个人说自己的真心话，一个是我妈妈，一个是我老婆”我很认真的说。“那这两个人一定是你最重要的人，可是为什么没有你的爸爸呢?”她幼稚的话语中充斥着一丝好奇。我陷入了深思，我该怎么回答，需要自己的辩解吗?我不是很厉害吗?为什么连这样一句在普通的一个问题都让我哽咽。“我爸爸比我重要，但不是我最重要的人！”“你不会不孝顺吧?”我半开玩笑的说“我从没说过自己是一个好人，我这么认真的管理这个班级，只是处于责任，其他的什么都体现不出来，是你自己把我想像的太好拉，我是一个很糟糕的人”其实我真的不知道该怎么说。想沉默，却没理由沉默下去！

昨天，期待的一个感恩节，在前一天的晚上，我把电话上的闹钟从早上7点调整到早上6点，因为老婆都是6点起床，我想在她挣开眼睛就可以看到我感恩节祝福的短信，接受我最真诚的感谢！可是那天夜里由于发信息发的很晚，手机没点了，第二天电话却自己开不了机，醒来时就已经六点半了，感恩节一大早就让我郁闷了起来，“她刚醒时没发成，那就等到她晚上快睡时把”我自己安慰自己。一天心情几乎都是在郁闷中度过的，利用中午的时间给高中的老师都发了一条短信“感恩节快乐，老师，我不会忘记你的”。下午上课老师说了一句话“记得今天是什么日子吗?是感恩节，别忘记给自己的爸爸妈妈发一条短信”。顿时，心象用牙齿嚼了一大包橘子一样，酸酸的。毫无疑问，我已经跟妈妈发过了一条信息“妈妈，今天是感恩节，我想对你说一声谢谢，谢谢你养育我那么大，教育我那么深，真的谢谢，儿子不会让你失望的！”可是我要怎么样，用什么方式可以对我的爸爸也说一句谢谢呢?一支小船放进大海里，可以流到我对爸爸思念的港湾，把“感恩”两个字带给他吗?一支纸鹤可以把“感恩”的翅膀带如思念的天空，告诉他一声“谢谢你爸爸”，虽然你给我和弟弟的是一份断层的父爱，但有无奈在，它就是一份完整的父爱，我都会记得对你说声“谢谢”。

眼泪在也掩饰不住一个“班长”坚强而严肃的外壳，原来我的生命是一部电视，有了眼泪代替荧光屏，我才清楚的看到自己的脆弱。我很清楚我不是为我爸爸流泪，是为了身边每一个真心给予过我爱与关怀的亲人与朋友。从小关怀我成长的妈妈爸爸，心里认定一辈子的老婆，以及真心对待我的每一个朋友。我不知道该说什么，或者说我不知道该用怎么样的一种方式去对他/她们。“你怎么样对待别人，别人会怎么样对待你”这句话，是很多人都提起的，但它真的很对吗?我只能说它不错，但并不是说它对！一定不能这样说。如果真的象你们所说的那简单，那样世界上就不会存在离弃与背叛了，社会就不会出现一幕一幕不和谐的现象了，“除了死，一切的离开都是背叛”是我在大学一位朋友经常跟我讲的一句话，就象前一句话一样，我不肯定也不赞成，可以理解，在你生命中遭受了曾曾的背叛与离弃，你还会去说“你怎么样对待别人，别人也会怎么样去对待你”，你真的不会发出一声“出了死，一切的离开都是背叛吗?”也许听的太多的离弃故事，看了太多背离的场面，读过太多爱情，友情海誓山盟，昙花一现后的背叛。我懂的一切应该懂得的道理，永远失去了曾经的天真。也许是这个被金钱或名利或个性充满理性的社会里，唯一缺失的是真情，也只会是真情，在这样一个利益与真情可以顿时颠倒的社会里，真情已经被大大打了折扣！也许是太少，所以我学会拼命的珍惜，拼命珍惜身边的每一个真心朋友，拼命的珍惜自己现在所拥有的爱情，珍惜她，珍惜姥姥。我不知道该用怎么样的话语去形容我现在的感情。

Thanksgiving which falls on the fourth Thursday of November, is one of the

biggest American holidays. This holiday started in the early 1600s after

settlers arrived in America. These people who came from Europe didnt know how

to survive in the wild new country. Luckily, they met some friendly American

Indians, who showed them how to hunt turkeys and grow corn. In the fall, after

the harvest, the settlers had a great feast. They invited the Indians to thank
