Summer can be very hot in southern xx where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim.

In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

Today, the teacher took us to touch the clams, we are not so happy.

爸妈早就计划着要来一次说走就走的漂流，今年暑假终于如愿以偿。我们一家人找了个晴朗的日子自驾来到我梦中的乐园—九畹溪。

到达目的地已是下午两点，买了票，渡过河，坐车去往漂流源头，不时看见急流卷起白色的浪花，使劲摔向河边的岩壁，一只只黄色的漂流船在蜿蜒的河道中不停的旋转;旅者们的尖叫声、呐喊声，此起彼伏。我的心早已随旋转的漂流船向着快乐奔去。到达源头，我和妈妈迫不及待地穿上救生设备，抢到一只小船将之推向河道，随激流漂去。

刚开始，水流平缓，并不觉得刺激。两岸石头裸露，树林丛生，清凉的泉水使炎热的夏天逐渐冷却下来，一股舒意从心而外散来。

据说，金鞭岩是秦始皇的赶山鞭，海龙王怕他赶山填海，就派女儿来到人间，乘秦始皇睡觉的时候，用假鞭把真鞭给换走了。后来秦始皇赶山不动，一气之下把鞭子插在地上，就成了今天的金鞭岩。

第二天，我们向黄狮寨挺进，从林场出发，沿着绿荫下的石阶而上，来到“娱乐台”，这“娱乐台”像个大屋檐，站在檐上往下看，眼前好一个碧绿世界。我们沿着崎岖而又蜿蜒的石径继续攀登。树林更加茂密，显得格外幽静，爸爸说：“快到南天门了。”一听到了南天门，要见玉皇大帝了，我和妈妈可来劲了。

果然，走了不久，眼前两座相邻的巨石拔地而起，下面是个天然的门，小路就从中间穿过。门旁有一棵高耸入云的大松树，真像一个威武的大将军。哇，孙悟空!只见远处巨峰突起，周围几十座小石峰，仔细一看，那巨峰像手握如意棒的孙悟空，它正带着抓耳挠锶的小猴杀进南天门呢!

我有点累了，但一想起人们说的“不到黄狮寨，枉到张家界。”这句话，我觉得有股无形的力量，我一鼓作气登上了黄狮寨。这时，浓雾已经减退，变淡，站在这里，张家界的美景尽收眼底，那不计其数的奇峰怪石，苍松翠柏，真美丽啊!我已经明白“不到黄狮寨，枉到张家界。”的含义了。

游览结束了。今年的暑假让我游山玩水，难道这不是一个快乐又美好的假期吗?

It was sunny and warm today. I got up early. After breakfast I went to ..Mountain with my friend Li Lei. It took us about an hour to get there by bus. There were thousands of people. We joined them to climb the mountain as soon as we got there. We felt tired but we kept climbing. It took us about an hour to get to the top of the mountain. 还有一天，堂姐和她的同学一起带我出去玩，我们搭了三轮车，本想先到肯德鸡吃喝一下，一到那，那儿里的人，从里面排队排到马路上，笑死人了!要回家的路上，姐姐为我买了一些首饰，等我回到家的时候，没想到，二姑她全家人都来了，而且还买了许多我喜欢的水果，二姑的两个孩子一起叫我和姐姐陪他们一块下去，我是刚上来的，有些累了，所以我没跟他们下去。当然，那他们有什么趣事，我也不晓得，家里就剩下我和堂姐咯!堂姐这就去打开电脑，上网了。我跑到客厅，打开电视，看我最喜欢的连续剧《绝色双娇》。后来，二姑一家人走后，家里就只剩下奶奶、姐姐、弟弟还有我和堂姐，但过了不久，妈妈也买了许多水果来，全家笑坏了肚子，嘻嘻!我想，现在，家里的水果不怕没得吃，只怕吃不完啊!

我每年的暑假都很快乐，但今年的暑假是最快乐的了。

经过为时2个月的漫长暑假，终于迎来了9月1日——开学了!因为兴奋，我早早地起床了。一到上学时间我就背起书包，飞奔到学校。

小学的生活已在我的努力下画上了句号，今天，我又站在了新的起跑线上。站在校园里，我怀着充满期待的心情打量四周：这的一草一木我是那么地熟悉啊!瞧!它们正对我微笑呢!“喳喳”，一只小麻雀围着我飞了好几圈，仿佛在说：“欢迎你回来!”我抬头仰望天空，白云跟棉花糖似的点缀在蓝莹莹的天空中，太阳活像个大火球……我再也按捺不住激动的心情，向教室跑去。

哇!教室布置得真漂亮!桌椅摆放得整整齐齐，玻璃擦的干干净净!咦?那是谁?一个长得非常结实的中年男子站在板报前，面带笑容地和围观的同学们讲着什么。难道他就是我们新班主任?这时，他说话了：“大家好，我是你们的班主任兼语文老师。”原来我的猜测没错。

新的教室，新的同学，还有新的学科呢!初中了，我们新加了几门有趣的课程，比如说地理课。地理课会告诉我们不同国家的地形和景观。地理老师说，我们祖国有许多美丽的景点。比如说：塔克拉玛干沙漠，青藏高原，江南水乡，长江黄河……第一次的地理课就让我了解到许多地理知识，让我觉得居住在中国的土地上是一件多么令人自豪的事情。今后，我一定要好好学习，了解中国的每一处，将来环游全中国!
