im of the opinion that taiwans students are pathetic because they have too much pressure in their lives. because they have to pass the joint college entrance eam, they must study hard, to meet their teachers and parents epectations, they have to study day and night. but its such a shame because most students dont know what they really want and what their goals in their future should be. so what should they strive towards? should they only want to get the best grades and pass the jcee? the answer is no. in my view, all students should calm down for a few minutes and think earnestly about what they want.

I had a long holiday for May Day 。I was very happy， because I could do anything I want。

During those days。 I enjoyed myself。 At first， I went to the zoo to see lovely animals。 And then。 I went to the sea world to see beautiful fishes。 That was very interesting。 Secondly I went for a trip with my parents， we went to Linxia to visit my grandparents and to eat minority’s foods。 We rode horse on the grassland and had a fun with local children。 It was very exciting。 After that， I held a party and invited some of my best friends to visit my house。 My mother bought a lot of tasty foods for us， we also took many photos on the party。 We played very happy。 I also watched lots of carton films at home， they were wonderful。

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

蚂蚁是一种我们很常见的动物，花盆下、土地里、草地上……随处可以见到它们的身影。

蚂蚁的身体分为头、胸、腹三部分,三对足集中在胸部,一对天线似的触角长在头上。蚂蚁身体颜色各种各样，有的全身黑，有的腹部黄……

听了大象的话狮子才明白自己喜欢的口味别人不一定喜欢。我从中也学习到了一点道理。

从前，螃蟹不但会飞，而且它的身子还特别的大。

有一天，它在天上飞着，突然看见地上有一只小白兔，它便想着吓唬小白兔，螃蟹一个俯冲到小白兔面前，小白兔热情地跟螃蟹打招呼。可是，螃蟹却张牙舞爪地吓唬它，小白兔呜哇一声跑掉了。

从此，螃蟹变本加厉。有一头小动物还被螃蟹一把抓到了空中呢。森林所有的动物都受过螃蟹的欺负，就连老虎、狼这样的野兽也不例外，动物们纷纷向森林之王诉苦。

今天下午，我在草地上观察蚂蚁。

我发现一块大石头下面有个洞，我想这里面一定有蚂蚁，于是我用小树枝在洞里乱摆，终于有很多蚂蚁爬出来了，我看到一只小蚂蚁在和一只大蚂蚁打仗呢，我看着看着就自言自语地说：“大的不能欺负小的”，于是我把大的用小树枝挑到一边，小蚂蚁得救了。

我又发现一只更小的蚂蚁在找东西，可是没有找到，我就帮小蚂蚁找，突然我看到一只小虫子，我用小树枝把小虫子挑到小蚂蚁身边，可小蚂蚁好像没发现一样，反而回洞了，我真着急，不一会大群蚂蚁纷纷走出来，噢！我明白了，原来小蚂蚁去报信了，我高兴极了。几只蚂蚁上去就咬，虫疼的乱动，似乎在叫喊：“救命”，一只大蚂蚁咬住它的脖子，虫死了，一只只蚂蚁齐心协力把虫搬回了洞。

比赛开始了，男生，女生都不甘示弱，勇于站起来回答问题，外面狂风大作，里面却是这番热闹的情景，一分钟过去了，二分钟过去了，三分钟过去了男生和女生之间出现了距离，眼看第一大题就要结束，我们男生非常着急，想挽回局面，正当我们要开始翻盘时，第一大题居然就这然结束了，不过还好，还有第二大题，谁赢谁输还不一定呢？第二大局开始了，经过一番调整的我们，又开始追逐了紧张又激烈的气氛依旧未停，男生们依然努力的追赶着分数，能追一分是一分，女生好像有点骄傲了，回答的人越来越少，我们分数渐渐多了起来，直到最后一题是我们只差女生两分了，当我们认为胜负已定时，老师突然说最后一题回答对加两分，这是我们脸上又有了笑容，因为班长把自己的手举得高高的，他是我们最后的一线希望了，你是男生唯一的靠山了，当老师在黑板上花了两个大星星后就意味着我们的努力没有白费，我们终于胜利了！

今天的这节有趣的英语课给我们打来了许多欢乐和笑声！

一年有春夏秋冬之分，四季有阴晴雨雪之别，但是，猪们打发日子的方法却永恒不变：吃了睡，睡了吃，吃饱喝足，便在院子里溜达溜达。一日如此，天天如此。

这样的生活太没意思了。一头不愿这样混过一生的白猪独自跑到田里，用嘴帮助水牛耕地。它辛辛苦苦地拱呀，拱呀，直累得大汗淋漓。

猪们七嘴八舌地议论白猪，意思只有一个：白猪帮助水牛耕地，没有一点功劳，纯粹是帮倒忙。根本不如睡觉，睡觉有益无害。

白猪被说得灰心丧气，从此随大流，吃了睡，睡了吃，猪们也就再没有对它说“不”字的了。

水牛叹息道：“干事的，总可以挑出毛病；不干事的，则保留充分的批评权。一个集体若形成这样的风气，这个集体也就完了。”
