I had a very special Christmas day last year. I experienced the western

style festival. There was a new foreign teacher taught us the lesson. She was

about 50 years old and she was very kind and we all liked her. On Christmas Day,

day with her. Then for the first time, I ate big turkey, which was so delicious.

was such funny for me. Though today many people enjoy shopping in all kinds of

festivals, the meaning of these festival should be remembered.

Last week, I saw an Interesting cartoon and I was attracted by the

beautiful house. The house was in the top of the mountain. Every morning, the

main character could see the whole landscape and village. It is such a beautiful

house for me. In the future, I want to have a house like this, trees and flowers

are around.

My teacher is very strict, also is very nice. Because of the strict teacher, let we learned to strict with myself. Because of the teachers kindness, let us feel warm, let the knowledge we learned several not over.

My teacher looks very strict, but very kind at heart, she kind of eternity like waves, will not change. As bright as the sun, her eyes filled with wisdom, laugh very natural, very nice. 边上加油没被这暂时的失败吓到，反而更团结，更用劲。他们的身子向后倾，脚并脚，团结一心，绳子又拉了回来。

场上的比赛激烈地进行着，对手也许是刚才用了太多力气，现在反而使不上劲了，显得力不从心。我们乘此机会，拼命拽绳，对方有同学摔倒了，使我们有了可乘之机。

“一、二、三，拉!”我们底气十足地喊了一声，用尽最后的力气一拉。终于，随着裁判一声哨响，比赛结束，我们成功了!

在片刻的休息后，我们又进行了第二、三次比赛。我们过五关，斩六将，结果大获全胜，夺得了第一名。我们欢呼雀跃，尝到了成功的滋味，这味道，是甜的。

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually

in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance.

This days important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that

Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddhas

body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar

month, so he ordered to light lanterns in the imperial palace and temples to

show respect to Buddha on this day. Later, the Buddhist rite developed into a

grand festival among common people and its influence expanded from the Central

Plains to the whole of China.

Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the

country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets,

attracting countless visitors. Children will hold self-made or bought lanterns

to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. "Guessing lantern riddles"is

an essential part of the Festival.

Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the

lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out

and go to the lantern owners to check their answer. If they are right, they will

get a little gift. The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in

the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of

wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.

People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also

called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is

small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean

paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling.

Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s

more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning

reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the

family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern

dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and

beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent

lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks

from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local

governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first

full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing

fireworks and bright moon in the sky.

为提高孩子们英语水平，检验近期英语学习情况，进一步培养学生的英语综合运用能力，营造英语文化氛围，7月28日，山东理工大学“红色之旅”实践团于菏泽市牡丹区赵楼社区支教基地举行英语作文比赛。

此次比赛本着“人人参与”的原则，在初中三个年级中进行。以《My holidy》（我的假期）为题，学生们现场发挥，在30分钟的时间内写出一篇100词作文。比赛过程中，参赛选手胸有成竹，屏气凝神，严格遵守比赛规则，表现出优秀的参赛风格。全部同学在规定时间内完成，甚至有几位同学提前做完，显示出同学们对英语的有效掌握。学生作文水平虽显稚嫩，但从单词、句子的运用，到语法篇章的安排，都显示出了英语教学有了明显的进步，这是同学们勤学英语的结果，也是每位实践队员辛勤教学的结果。最终，赵芳同学脱颖而出荣获一等奖，刘涵、赵紫、赵伟等分获二、三等奖，队员们为其颁发奖状、奖品，以资鼓励。赛后，实践团将同学们的作品在橱窗中展示，以供大家交流学习。同学们表示今后一定再接再厉，学好英语。队员们鼓励大家在日常生活中也要勤学勤用，在实践中探索英语的奥秘。

此次比赛有力调动起同学们学习英语的积极性，提高了对英语的实用能力，提高了学生英语读写能力。据悉，此类活动还将继续开展，为学生创设运用英语写作展示的平台。

就在这个星期四，有一场田径比赛，本来我对这场比赛毫无兴趣，但是我的同桌是这场比赛的参赛选手，他便软磨硬泡的叫我去，我只好答应了。

来到高中部的运动场，我眼前一亮——一个宽阔的足球场映入眼前，足球场外边还围绕着一个用煤渣做的标准的跑道，跑到外还有不少运动员在做热身运动。

these superheroes characters as their idols. So some people start to feel

disappointed about the local culture, because they havent seen its essence. As

the world gets globalization, it is in need of building peoples sense of local

cultural heritage.

The preservation of our cultural heritage is the necessary task. The

culture contains the essence of Chinese peoples spirit, which has been tested

by time. When people admit our culture, we will be proud of being part of the

country, so as to enhance the unity and have the desire to make a contribution

to the society. The loss of cultural heritage will destroy a country, which can

be seen in history.

As the young generation faces the cultural shock in the globalization, so

they are easy to deny the local culture, because they know little about it. Thus

In Tianjin,there are many buildings of bygone times.Some of them are

imposing and have great artistic and historic value.However,these buildings do

mot fit in well with each other,because most of them were built by foreigners in

different times.The traffic in the city is not very convenient.The street are

usually narrow and twisted.If the government wanted to have them widened,a large

number of buildings would have to be pulled down.Some buildings are too old and

are nothing more than cottages,and in place of them,some new high buildings have

been set up.However,the new ones are still few and in many places they seem

quite out of place.

Yet those Western-style buildings give Tianjin a different characteristic

from other cities and those new ones lend the city fresh vitality which will

spread rapidly with the reform going on.

在我们的校园里随时都能听到歌声，或许是学校放的；或许是音乐课上听的；或许是同学们唱的……

令我印象最深的是《习主席寄语》。记得那次学校要举行唱这首歌的比赛。当时我们不熟悉这首歌曲，所以我们就抽出时间来练，甚至抽出课来练这首歌。我们不仅要会唱还要做手语。为了能取得一个好成绩我们付出了太多，太多。每天下午临放学我们都学着唱。

临近比赛了，我的心里既紧张又激动。我们更加认真地练习。比赛的脚步渐渐近了。我们对这首歌也越来越熟悉了。比赛的日子终于来临了，我们尽最大的努力去把这首歌唱好，虽然这次的成绩并不理想。但是我们努力了，努力了就不后悔。我想起了一句话：“也许，付出了汗水，不一定能收获那个日渐成熟的梦；也许，洒下了热血，并不一定拥有那片火红的风景；也许，黑暗中的苦苦挣扎，并不一定迎来灿烂的黎明……。可我并不一味伤感。尽管默默地耕耘，还未听到生命的回声，但热爱生命的我，一定会赢。”

这首歌不仅教会了我只有拼搏才会赢，还教会了我很多道理。“人在年少时，一定要励志”让我明白了要立下自己奋斗的目标，在年少时要努力学习。从“莫好高骛远，稳健才扎实”中明白了谦虚使人进步，骄傲使人落后。”

《习主席寄语》告诉我们很多正能量。“做事讲诚信，做人讲良知”告诉我们要做一个诚实守信的人。但是现在的一些黑心商家纷纷做起了挂羊头卖狗肉的生意，中国的食品药品造假事件频发，甚至有些所谓的“名医”为了赚钱给人们乱开药，导致药物中毒。这些人为了钱，出卖了良知，出卖了诚信。但愿所有的中国人都唱一唱《习主席寄语》，都做诚实守信的人。

这首歌教会了我很多道理，它会时刻激励着我，让我做一个有正能量的人，让我做一个大写的人。

China has many traditional festivals among the year. But I like Mid-Autumn Festival the most. It means harvest, because it is celebrated in the harvest season. And it is the time for famers to express their thanks for harvest. In addtion, it’s the day for reunion. Some people call it Tuanyuanjie. The people work or study far away from home will come back to get-together with their families. They will eat a big meal and mooncake at that time. I hate parting but love reunion. So Mid-Autumn Day is my favorite festival.

一年之中中国有很多传统节日。我最喜欢的是中秋节。那意味着收获，因为它是在收获的季节里面庆祝的。那也是让农民们感激收获的时候。 此外，它也是团圆的日子。有人把它称为团圆节。在远方工作或学习的人都会回来与家人团聚。他们会在那个时候一起吃一顿丰盛的晚餐和月饼。我讨厌离别，喜欢团圆。所以我最喜欢的节日是中秋节。

再过一星期就是歌唱比赛了，请各位做好准备！孔雀在主席台上宣布﹕请要参加歌唱比赛的鸟到前台签字。鸟儿们一个一个得上去了。有夜莺、百灵鸟、凤凰等等。当轮到小麻雀和乌鸦时，场下传来暴笑声。就你们那破嗓子，也想参加歌唱比赛？就是啊，我看你们倒数第一都得不到！什么啊！我看她们名次都排不上！小麻雀和乌鸦却没有发火，反而心平气和地说：我们一定会得第一的！这一星期里，其它鸟儿高兴就唱一会儿，不高兴就玩。而小麻雀和乌鸦却在苦练。过了几天，她们的声音远远超过夜莺、黄莺、凤凰等鸟的声音。

一星期转眼就过去了，歌唱比赛晚上7点终于开始了！

歌唱台可漂亮了！两边有两个大音箱，还被植物缠绕着呢！大音箱中间有一块红色大木板，上面写着森林歌唱比赛。大木板上面是一个大屏幕。鹦鹉在台上郑重地说：我宣布，第37届森林歌唱会现在开始！台下爆发出激烈的掌声。首先上场的是上一届的冠军，凤凰！台下再次响起掌声。凤凰的声音时而高昂，时而低沉再加上她那身鲜艳夺目的羽毛，使人如痴如醉。突然，凤凰停止了歌唱，原来是凤凰忘了歌词。台下观众为她惋惜。当然，因为其它鸟也不练，所以唱的也不过如此。小麻雀和乌鸦上场了，观众们有的吹起口哨起哄，有的议论纷纷，他们也能得奖？但这并没有伤害到小麻雀和乌鸦的自信心和发挥。当她们婉转的歌声响起时，观众们仿佛沉浸在幻想和梦境中。

比赛结束时，鹦鹉在台上说：现在公布冠军！台下投来期待的目光。她们是全场人屏住呼吸。小麻雀和乌鸦！！全场掌声雷动。经过千辛万苦，她们终于得了冠军。不用细说，她们肯定高兴得合不拢嘴呢！

是啊！只要坚持不懈，做什么事都能成功！

今天天气格外明朗，一场别开生面的拔河比赛要开始了，我的心情就像这天气一样爽朗。我们班的“小巨人“们站在了班级前方，活动着那有力气的身体，我也进入了他们的队伍，我们望这裁判员等待着冠军向我们招手。

裁判员把我们领进了比赛场指定位置准备比赛，比赛规则是这样的：女同学10人，男同学10人，分别站在麻绳的两边，脚要对着前面同学的脚，我们要拉倒对方才行。我们班首先和四(3)班比，“预备。“我们拿起麻绳身体向后倒，随着哨声响起我们用尽吃奶的力气来拉，旁边的同学用自己的嗓门来为我们加油，“嘟“可惜我们输了。我们只好和四(4)班比赛，我们班的同学开始心灰意冷了，我走上前去给他们说：“坚持不懈，我们要团结就能胜利。“

决赛要开始了，我们站在了赛场上“预备，嘟。“我们咬紧牙关，黄豆般的汗珠直往下流，红色标记一会儿偏向我们一会儿偏向对方，周老师和同学们在一旁呐喊助威，似乎嗓子都喊哑了，我们的手红了脸涨的通红“嘟，四二班胜利。“太好了，我们连胜两局。

哎!我们只得了第三名，我们那双渴望冠军的眼睛给拔河比赛画上了一个美好的句号。

今天，我们第二节下了课，正是我们的大课间，可是让我们有疑问的是，为什么老师说今天不用带跳绳了。

我们全班同学下了楼，跑到操场。我们一眼看见的就是那长长的一根麻绳，之后又看见有几个班，坐在大圈不远处在呼喊着什么，我终于知道了真相，竟然是拔河比赛。

我们王老师让我们坐到了一个地方观看，然后比赛马上开始了。我们女老师围成几个圈，好像是在讨论战术，不久之后比赛正式开始。我们四年级和三年级来到了赛场，我和我的同学们高声呼喊：“加油!加油!”第一场我们赢了。

第二场是由五年级和二年级比赛，让我们震惊的是，二年级的全体女老师把五年级的几个老师给拽倒了，太不可思议了，二年级赢得了第二场的胜利。

第三场是我们最兴奋的一场比赛，因为这是总决赛，我们四年级与老年团的决战开始了，老年团里都是重量级人物，所以我们还是输掉了比赛。

但是我们并不遗憾，因为这次是让全校女老师最开心的一次三八妇女节的拔河比赛。
