Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He was born in a poor family but later he became famous and rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him too.

This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist the hero is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was coming but he was wrong a group of thieves were waiting for him.

The author created a group of bad men.

Fagin an old man with a horribly ugly face and red hair was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.

Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.

Monks Oliver’s brother did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.

Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him. Actually she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow an old friend of Oliver’s father took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie Harry Maylie’s mother saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is we can’t give up we must try our best to solve it.

某一天，学校里传来了雾霾来袭的通知，看着窗户外，是黄白色的雾霾。“这……就是雾霾?”我在电视上看到过几次，他们不是在北京吗?怎么扩散到浙江来了?怎么游荡到我“家”来了?今天因严重的雾霾而放假，那以后呢?它们还会来吗?我上网查了查，雾霾原来就是雾与霾的结合体。这追魁祸首并不是雾，他只是帮凶，最恐怖的居然是人类一手创造出来的霾!霾是由汽车尾气、工业废气、家庭油烟等有毒气体组成的，它的力量是足以威胁人的生命的。看过关于雾霾的资料以后，我不禁哀叹道：“这都是人类自作自受啊!”

于是，我也在这一天留下一幅画——《雾霾天真带劲》。画中有一个黑影，若隐若现，若有若无，雾霾是黄色的，遮掩住了他睁得又大又圆的眼，只见得他带有嘲讽意义而上弯致45°角的嘴唇和对话框里的话。对话框也淡淡的，里面的文字也被黄气遮住。我把最后的感叹号画得大大的，希望人们看到以后有一丝丝愧疚。

或许，我能做的，就这些了……

那曾经令我向往的，陷阱般的，无比奇妙的意境消失了。它曾一度被视为人间仙境，但是，渐渐地，人们对它充满了憎恶，它也不想这样，它甚至不属于这个世界，是人类创造了它。如今，它厌倦了，厌倦了这个世界，它要报复人类，它的存在受到了威胁。这一切的一切都是人类自己本生的过错啊!

瞧，它在哭泣，它的泪化作了有毒气体，它要以相等的代价“回报”人类了……

雾锁楼台，霾没晴空，从东北到华北，从华北到华南，偌大的中国，一座座城市，一个个乡村，迅速被雾霾占领：碧水沦陷，蓝天沦陷;视力受阻，呼吸受阻„„

——雾霾，这个令我们沮丧的魔鬼，究竟是谁把它从地狱之中放了出来?

这不能不归罪于某些人的短见。他们一味追逐眼前利益，不作长远打算，为了一时的利润，不惜牺牲子子孙孙甚至他们自己的碧水蓝天。正是他们，正是这种贪婪而愚蠢的短视，打开了地狱之锁。

请看一下当今的中国，大大小小的工厂，竖起长长短短的烟囱，冒出淡淡浓浓的烟雾。就是这些烟雾，携带着刺鼻的异味，裹挟着致命的粉尘，成了制造雾霾的主力。对于工厂主来说，每一根烟囱都是吸纳财富的神奇管道;可是于社会来说，每一缕烟雾都是催人短命的可怕妖孽。

涸泽而渔，焚林而猎，杀鸡取卵，种种鼠目寸光、遗患无穷的行径，都在发展经济的华丽大旗下，堂而皇之地上演!“在我死后，哪管洪水滔天!”这就是他们的逻辑，他们的准则!

然而社会是一个你中有我、我中有你的互相联系互相制约的整体，以为在他死后才有洪水滔天的人，往往于未死之前就先被洪水淹没。当雾霾从首都北京扩散到偏远山村，从东北大地扩散到西南边陲，我们不能不惊叹：中国人已经置身于雾霾的汪洋大海中了!无辜者固然受害，就是那些魔鬼的同党，又谁人能逃得一劫?

事实上，倘若不迅速抛弃这种短见，倘若不迅速树立可持续发展的观念，倘若不着眼于整个人类的福祉，那么，放任这种杀鸡取卵的行径，雾霾侵略的脚步，决不会止于如今的领地。

中国传统道德中有“己所不欲，无施于人”的要求，你不喜欢雾锁霾封的感觉，就不要把这种感觉强加给他人。中国历史上也不乏“前人栽树，后人乘凉”的事例，为后人着想得多一点，人类才可能一代一代的繁衍下去。孔子云：始作俑者，其无后乎!孔子的愤慨还只是着眼于“仁”;倘若我们今天说“大造雾霾者，其无后乎”，这种愤慨却实实在在是着眼于我们的生存了。

我们当然不反对发展，但是，我们反对自掘坟墓的发展。

寒假的清晨，我走出家门。一抬头，就看见一片灰蒙蒙的景象。朝四周望望，什么也看不清。好像整个天地都被笼罩住了一样。道路两旁的树木，朦朦胧胧。只能隐约分辨出那高大的轮廓。路上的大车小车都像挂着红灯笼，缓缓向前。路上来来往往的行人也“消失”了，只听见“哒哒哒”的脚步声。

看着眼前的一切，这乌蒙蒙的东西是雾吗？雾是一种自然现象。是白色的，相对湿度达到百分之百，空气中的水便会凝结成细微的小水滴悬浮在空中，使地面水平能见度下降。而眼前的东西既有点浑浊又十分厚重，还有些呛鼻。难道这就是污染空气的雾霾吗？到底什么是雾霾呢？它有多大的危害？它是怎么形成的？我们又能为赶走雾霾天气做出哪些力所能及的事呢？

这些问题缠着我整整一天，回家后我迫不及待的把这些问题“倾诉”给了网络，让它为我解答。呵！真是不查不知道，一查吓一跳呀！原来这个乌蒙蒙的东西就是雾霾！雾霾常见于城市，是一种灾害性天气。造成的湿度介于80-90％之间的大气污浊视野模糊，这种大气一般是由雾和霾的混合物行成的。而且，雾霾还是污染天气。是危及人体健康的隐形杀手！雾霾是由二氧化硫、氮氧化物、可吸入颗粒物与PM2。5四种成份组成。其中，PM2，5对环境与人类的影响力最大，这种颗粒直径小于2。5微米，本身即是一种污染物，又是重金属，多环芳氫等有害物质的载体，危害巨大。

所以，雾霾天气应减少出门，外出戴口罩，以防污染物由口鼻侵入肺部，注意饮食，平时要多喝水，及时补充维生素D。雾霾天气时，空气中的污染物很多，应及时关闭门窗，避免室外的污染物进入污染室内空气，诱发急性呼吸道和心血管疾病的发生。雾霾的形成有五个原因：一、大气气压低，空气不流动是主要因素，由于空气的不流动，使空气中的微小颗粒聚集漂浮在空气中；二、地面灰尘大，空气湿度低，地面的人和车流使灰尘搅动起来。三、汽车的尾气是主要污染物，近年来城市的汽车越来越多，排放的汽车尾气是雾霾的一个重要因素；四、一些工厂制造的二次污染；五、冬季取暖排放的CO。2等污染物。原来，雾霾的成因主要是我们人类自己对环境的污染和破坏造成的。

我们离不开赖以生存的地球，保护环境与维护生态平衡的重任自然落到我们肩上。让我们绿色出行，减少尾气排放。为赶走雾霾尽一份力量！
