在周二中午我们去听了一个讲座，生理讲座，给我们讲课的是卫生局的副教授。陈教授，他告诉我们十到十五岁是青春期。在青春期我们的身体会发生变化，会有阴毛，有喉结，有阴茎，人的阴茎有睾丸，前列腺，睾丸是制造精液的，前列腺是分泌尿液的。

教授又说我们早上起来，床上有一些液体，有人说是生病了，其实，只是遗精，遗精是体内多余的精液，人体储存不了了。就被排出了。喉结来了也伴随着我们变声，此时要多吃水果蔬菜，补充维生素，尽量不要吃辛辣油炸食品。

听了讲座，我学到了很多关于生理的知识。听完这节课，我的收获很多，我知道了怎么正确认识生殖器，正确护理生殖器和心理上的自我调节。

这次讲座我的收获很多。

Whatever a man’s status is (may be)， he must have an aim。 If not， he can

hardly stand on his own two feet in the world。 That stands to reason。However

important fame and wealth may be， we must not let them bee our object in life。

We should aim at doing something useful to the society。If my aim can e true， I

hope (wish) to be a teacher。 However， teaching is by no means an easy thing。 I

must apply myself closely to my studies so as to be able to cope with my duties

(as a teacher)。

An October Sunrise 十月的日出

I was up the next morning be fore the October sunrise, and away through the wild and the woodland. The rising of the sun was noble in the cold and warmth of it peeping down the spread of light, he raised his shoulder heavily over the edge of grey mountain and wavering length of upland. Yet before the floating impress of the woods could clear it self, suddenly the gladsome light leaped over hill and valley, casting amber, blue, and purple, and a tint of rich red rose; according to the scene they lit on, and the curtain flung around; yet all alike dispelling fear and the cloven hoof of darkness, all on the wings of hope advancing, and proclaiming, “God is here!” then life and joy sprang reassured from every crouching hollow; every flower, and bud and bird had a fluttering sense of them; and all the flashing of God’s gaze merged into soft beneficence.

So, perhaps, shall break upon us that eternal morning, when crag and chasm shall be no more, neither hill and valley, nor great unvintaged ocean; but all things shall arise, and shine in the light of the Father’s countenance, because itself is risen.

In the traditional view, a woman needs to sacrifice a lot when she marries.

For example, she has to quit the job and give birth to a baby, which makes her

look older and not that beautiful anymore. But in the modern society, the new

moms change peoples idea. A lot of mothers look still young and beautiful. They

have done some work to keep the body shape and take regular exercise, no matter

how busy they are. I admire these woman, some even make her career so well. They

find the balance between family and work, which makes them charming all the

time. The hot moms deserve the girls to learn from them.

My father, Winston Churchill, began his love affair with painting in his 40s, amid disastrous circumstances. As First Lord of the Admiralty in 1915, he was deeply involved in a campaign in the Dardanelles that could have shortened the course of a bloody world war. But when the mission failed, with great loss of life, Churchill paid the price, both publicly and privately. He was removed from the admiralty and effectively sidelined.

Overwhelmed by the catastrophe — “I thought he would die of grief,” said his wife, Clementine —he retired with his family to Hoe Farm, a country retreat in Surrey. There, as Churchill later recalled, “The muse of painting came to my rescue!”

Wandering in the garden one day, he chanced upon his sister-in-law sketching with watercolors. He watched her for a few minutes, then borrowed her brush and tried his hand. The muse had cast her spell!

Churchill soon decided to experiment with oils. Delighted with this distraction from his dark broodings, Clementine rushed off to buy whatever paints she could find.

For Churchill, however, the next step seemed difficult as he contemplated with unaccustomed nervousness the blameless whiteness of a new canvas. He started with the sky and later described how “very gingerly I mixed a little blue paint on the palette, and then with infinite precaution made a mark about as big as a bean upon the affronted snow-white shield. At that moment the sound of a motor car was heard in the drive. From this chariot stepped the gifted wife of Sir John Lavery .”

“ ‘Painting!’ she declared. ‘But what are you hesitating about? Let me have the brush — the big one.’ Splash into the turpentine, wallop into the blue and the white, frantic flourish on the palette, and then several fierce strokes and slashes of blue on the absolutely cowering canvas.”

At that time, John Lavery— a Churchill neighbor and celebrated painter— was tutoring Churchill in his art. Later, Lavery said of his unusual pupil: “Had he chosen painting instead of statesmanship, I believe he would have been a great master with the brush.”

In painting, Churchill had discovered a companion with whom he was to walk for the greater part of the years that remained to him. After the war, painting would offer deep solace when, in 1921, the death of the mother was followed two months later by the loss of his and Clementine’s beloved three-year-old daughter, Marigold. Battered by grief, Winston took refuge at the home of friends in Scotland, finding comfort in his painting. He wrote to Clementine: “I went out and painted a beautiful river in the afternoon light with crimson and golden hills in the background. Alas I keep feeling the hurt of the Duckadilly (Marigold’s pet name).”

Historians have called the decade after 1929, when the Conservative government fell and Winston was out of office, his wilderness years. Politically he may have been wandering in barren places, a lonely fighter trying to awaken Britain to the menace of Hitler, but artistically that wilderness bore abundant fruit. During these years he often painted in the South of France. Of the 500-odd canvases extant, roughly 250 date from 1930 to 1939.

Painting remained a joy to Churchill to the end of his life. “Happy are the painters,” he had written in his book Painting as a Pastime, “ for they shall not be lonely. Light and color, peace and hope, will keep them company to the end of the day.” And so it was for my father.

今天下午我们听了一个讲座，是关于青春期的。老师先讲了什么是青春期，青春期是从儿童时期过渡到成年期的，一个十分重要的时期。在青春期我们会长胡子、会变声、腋下会长长毛等等。我们不可以去洗桑拿，而且我要保护好自己的生殖器。桑拿温度高，会对生殖器造成伤害。在变声的时候，我们要少说话，多休息嗓子。

我们的心里也会发生一些变化。自己有了冲动性，还有了独立性、依赖性。在写作业的时候，爸爸妈妈说你，你会感到很烦，这就代表你有了冲动性。有一些事情，你觉得你自己可以做了，不需要爸爸妈妈来帮忙，这就代表你有了独立性。在夏令营的时候。你想回家，想找爸爸妈妈说明你还存在一些依赖性。在这次讲座中我了解到了很多知识，我也知道我自己的一些心理变化和身体的变化，是慢慢的步入到了青春期，我长大了。听了这一次讲座，我感受很深，是一堂长知识的讲座！

New Year is coming. I have many great New Year’s resolutions. I will study math harder than before because I want to get better grades. I’m going to improve my spoken English because I want communicate with foreigners better in English.

These days Ive just finished the novel Uncle Toms Cabin that left a really deep impression on me and we can see.

It is a book written in 1852 in response to the passage of the Fugitive Slave Law， Uncle Toms Cabin has been considered as the most influential anti-slavery novel in that period and described by Stowe herself as a “series of sketches” describing the human cruelty of slavery， opens with a description of Arthur Shelbys Kentucky plantation during the antebellum period.

There are several impressive characters in this novel， George who is clever and brave;Harry， a beautiful and talented child who sings dances and mimes;Mrs. Shelby， a very religious woman;Sambo and Qimbo and so on. The major character Uncle Tom who was the most impressive in this novel was a devout Christian. He endured the miserable fate bravely and aroused the whites sympathy for slaves with his Christs sacrifice and the tolerance of returning good for evil. This novel focuses on the distinctive personalities of Uncle Tom deeply influenced by Christianity and the important role Uncle Toms Cabin playing on abolition; and the Significance of “Uncle Tom” to the harmonious worlds development， and the effect on modern people.

In the book， at the beginning， the author presents us a very beautiful image of a rather harmonious family who live a happy life. However， that beautiful image couldnt last long， the darkness came soon. The master of this happy family， Uncle Tom was arranged into a difficult situation. As Shelby， the not cruel master， he has incurred serious debts- prompting him sell some slaves to avoid financial ruin， so Uncle Tom， Shelbys loyal servant since childhood was sold to Mr. Haley， the slave trader. Uncle Tom remained loyal to his master， despite his betrayal and the risk of death at the cruel hands of a new master. The slaves at the plantation were very mournful， but Tom remained placid and tried to read his Bible for fort. On the steamboat to New Orleans， where Tom was to be sold， Tom befriended an angelic little girl， “Little Eva” St. Clare. Uncle Tom saved the five-year-old beauty from drowning， and she convinced her father to buy Tom for her own family. In her family， Tom enjoye.

d his life because of the girls love; Toms contentment does not last， however， because Eva soon falls ill. Dying， Eva asked Mr. St. Clare to free Tom after her death. But Mr. St. Clare is so sad by her death that he never legally freed Tom before he himself was killed trying to mediate a barroom scuffle. Mrs. St. Clare sold the slaves to settle her husbands debts and Tom was sold to Simon Legree who was so violent that beat his slaves brutally. At last， when Mr. Shelby， finally found Uncle Tom， he was almost died. After Tom was dead and buried， Shelby went back and freed his slaves.

As we all can see that Uncle Toms Cabin was an anti-slavery novel and it was even considered as one factor that caused the Civil War. In the novel， the slaves were sold from one place to another frequently， and their fate was tragic， with no exception- just like Uncle Tom， no matter he was under the control of kind masters or evil masters， he cant escape the misfortune of being sold from one master to another. We cant see any human right of them， so terrible.

As someone said， with more people realizing the inhumanity of slavery in the 19th century， slavery became one of the most important issues and it became more violent year by year in American society. However， slavery was not abolished irrevocably until ratification of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution in 1865， following the Civil War. After the passage of Fugitive Slave Act of 1850， Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote this novel Uncle Toms Cabin which publicized the evil of slavery to a wide audience.

Now we are in the 21st century， we may never e across such kind of thing. However， this book can always remind of us that there ever has existed this evil and we cant let it happen again. And “equality” 、“human right ” cant just be a slogan， we should make it e true really and always.

I opened the "our festival", the first thing I saw is the introduction of the Spring Festival. Spring Festival is one of the oldest festivals in our country. Where does my hometown show the atmosphere of the Spring Festival? Lets look at it.

On the night of the Spring Festival, in the sound of thunderous firecrackers, fireworks flashes up and radiates a variety of gleaming rings in the night sky. Some are like chrysanthemums, some are like waterfalls, others are like big trees and golden lights. Some are like small lanterns full of sky. They are really gorgeous. Thousands of spectators are cheering with loud cheers.

After the Spring Festival, the people of our country should have an atmosphere of red and red fire and joy and bustle. On that day at Christmas, we need to have the Christmas tree , illumination , the star adorns our family. We invite our family and friend to our house. They are able to give me a gift, I also need to give gift for them.

We sing special songs at Christmas.Christmas songs are carols.

The Spring Festival is one of the most I love the Spring Festival, every family is decorated, bursting with happiness. This years Spring Festival, I had a very interesting time.

Some parents love their children too much and don’t let them work at home. On one hand, they think that their children are too busy with their studies and expect them to do well in their lessons only. On the other hand, they think their children don’t know how to do the housework.

However, I think students should help their parents do housework at home. First, that can develop their love for work. Next, that can help them understand their parents better. Last and the most important, that can help them cultivate their ability to live.

今天下午第一节课我们去了多功能厅，当然这不是去开会，而是去听讲座。

首先老师讲了我们这个年龄已进入了青春期，我们这个年龄可能会脾气暴躁、开始有主见，从而进入叛逆期。然而进入青春期的特征主要有：身高猛增、喉结突出、长阴毛、变声、长胡须等。

另外，老师还讲了我们早上起床可能会发现床上有一张“地图”。当然，这可不是尿，而是遗精，是一种正常现象。

更主要的是，我们这时候不能去做桑拿、泡热温泉、用烫水洗澡等。不然会杀死里面遗精子，可能导致将来不能生出小宝宝。所以我们睡觉时需要侧着睡而不要趴着睡，以免过度挤压睾丸。

还有老师讲了我们这个年龄也到了变声的阶段。而且在变声的时候，我们要多喝水，不能大喊大叫，更不能用手比着脖子打闹。因为要保护嗓子，我们还要多吃富有蛋白质的食物，比如鸡蛋、牛奶啦等等，而这个时候我们还可能会出现嗓子沙哑等状况（又称破锣嗓子），但这属于生理状态不是一种疾病。
