It seems to me that many readers’ English reading experience starts with Jane Eyer. I am of no exception. Elizabeth (Lizzy) Bennet is the core of the family. Elizabeth is the second of Mr. and Mrs. Bennets five daughters, and is an intelligent, bold, attractive twenty-year-old when the story begins. Fitzwilliam Darcy (commonly known as Mr. Darcy) is the central male character and Elizabeths second love interest in the novel. He is an intelligent, wealthy, extremely handsome and reserved 28-year-old man, who often appears haughty or proud to strangers but possesses an honest and kind nature underneath. Initially, he considers Elizabeth his social inferior, unworthy of his attention, but he finds that, despite his inclinations, he cannot deny his feelings for Elizabeth. His initial proposal of marriage is rejected because of his pride and Elizabeths prejudice against him; however, at the end of the novel, after their relationship has blossomed, he is happily engaged to a loving Elizabeth.

The first time I read a book written by an Afghan atuhor named Khaled Hosseini ,it told a story between two boys.A rich boy Amir at the age of 12 and his servant Hasan were brotherly loved.Nevertheless,afer a kite game,something miserable happened.Amir feel grievous and guilty for his cowardice and he cannot confront Hansan,using something contempitable to let Hansan and his father leave his home.Not long,Afghanistan broke ou a war,Amir and his father had to fled to America.After his grown- up,he cannot forgave what he had done to Hansan before.And to atone for himself,he returned his hometown,which was destoryed badly by the war……

I knew Mark Twain when i was a middle school student. In my memory, there is an article in my English textbook that written by him. At that time, I pay no attention to Mark Twain. Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910) was an American humorist, satirist, lecturer and writer, better known by the pen name Mark Twain. He was born in Florida, Missouri and brought up in Hannibal, Missouri. After his fathers death in 1847, he was apprenticed to a printer and wrote for his brothers newspaper. He later worked as a licensed Mississippi river-boat pilot. The Civil War put an end to the steamboat traffic and Clemens moved to Virginia City, where he edited the Territorial Enterprise. On February 3, 1863, Mark Twain was born when Clemens signed a humorous travel account with that pseudonym. He often uses exaggerated ways to show his irony.

Mark Twains short story of "one million pounds note" is a very good work. The article satires the thoughts of "money is everything," "money is omnipotent," and expose the ugly face of capitalist society. As we all know, the root of the story was the bet of the brothers. What is the bet actually? Where does the attraction of the bank note lie in?

As far as i am concerned, the One Million Pounds Note takes an interesting, satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in England. England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. The novel shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when they find out that youre a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. The story was based on the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the novel from being a mockery of the British society. The love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.

In my heart, Herry was so luckily, not everyone can get the chance to use the million. I am so envious of the "lucky" of the heroine, but at the same time I would like to think that the reason why people carry favor with him is just that they attract too much important to money, isn’t it? Money worship is shameful and should not be reaping more! Money is not omnipotent, and in the world, there are many things that more important than money .

Nancy, a poor girl, loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate, because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group, because she loved him. Actually, she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes, she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us, he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow, an old friend of Oliver’s father, took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie, Harry Maylie’s mother, saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver, in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people, but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel, all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world, we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more, the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is, we can’t give up, we must try our best to solve it.

Based on Mark Twains novel, The Millionaire Pound Note takes an interesting satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in the 50s England. England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. The film shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when in an instant they find out that youre a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost.

Interestingly, The Millionaire also briefly looks at how the English perceived Americans in that era. Rich Americans were welcomed as outsiders and the poor were quickly shunned away. The fact that hes an outsider either makes him more appealing or the complete opposite. The story sticks to the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the movie from being a mockery of the British society. The movie drags at some point but the love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained. A charming Gregory Peck totally nails the part and the luminous Jane Griffiths is a treat. Reginald Beckwith, as Pecks sidekick Rock is amusing. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.

我在寒假里读了《鲁滨逊漂流记》这本小说。读完后，深深的故事中的主人公鲁滨感动。

这本书讲述了主人公鲁滨逊在一次航海中流落到了一座无名的荒岛上，后来在走投无路的情况下，用自己的双手，建造住所，驯养野山羊，养蜂，种植粮食，一个人独自生活了20多年。最后终于回到了自己的家乡。

在这个故事里32年这么长的时间里，主人公，不仅要战胜饥饿疾病，更要克服寂寞和孤独在困难面前他总是乐观地去面对一切，不放过每一个可以让他生存的机会。在困难面前他也曾经逃避过，害怕过，也想过放弃过，但最后战胜了自己而获得了生的机会。他能在那么艰苦的环境下把自己从绝望中解救出来特别让我感动的是他百折不绕的毅力，鲁滨逊在荒岛上二十几年靠的就是毅力，和永不放弃的的精神。

现在社会，生活学习，压力和竞争无处不在，我们要有主人公百折不绕，永不放弃的精神去面对我们遇到的压力和困难，才能战胜困难，在战胜困难的同时我们会在不断的进步，让自己学到的东西更充实，要知道不经历风雨，怎么能见彩虹。

鲁滨逊在荒岛上的种种，困难，与挫折在现实生活中常常会遇见，只要敢于面对困难，与挫折。在学习和生活中就会迎刃而解。平时我在学习中遇到难题，有时候就放弃了，可是在考试时却总是找到头上来了，那时候才后悔没有把难题克服。

安逸的生活造就不出时代的英雄，平静的湖面练不出精干的水手，艰苦的环境才会造就人才，会成为淤埋弱者的阻挡，安逸的生活会成为滋养惰性的温床。

当我们遇到挫折要积极对待，《鲁滨逊漂流记》给我们的启示是：遇到困难，要想尽一切办法去克服，不抱怨，不放弃，努力去克服。

我不知阅读了多少回英国著名作家丹尼尔.笛福的大作《鲁滨逊漂流记》，那引人入胜的故事情节让我一次又一次地体验了鲁滨逊丰富多彩的冒险生涯，每一次的阅读，都让我受益匪浅。

本书主人公鲁滨逊自幼喜爱冒险，在后来的一次航海中，船不幸触礁，船身破裂，造成全船人都葬身于海，除鲁滨逊一人生还，鲁滨逊飘流到一座荒无人烟的小岛上，靠自己的机智和勇敢生活了28年，学会做各种各样的农活，还救了一个野人“星期五”作为自己的仆人和朋友。这漫长的28年，鲁滨逊没有对生活失去希望，生活得井井有条，那种面对困难永不畏惧，乐观顽强的精神深深的令我折服!

本书最令我欣赏的一句话便是鲁滨逊得救后说的一句话“在那么多的日子里，尽管我遭遇了很多危险和困难，但我的收获也是无法计算的。”他得救后，并没有抱怨那28年中遇到那么多的危险，抱怨老天对他是多么的不公，而是觉得，那28年，让他学会了做面包，做陶瓷，捕猎等等，让他收获了许多许多，是“无法计算”的。我还觉得书中在鲁滨逊遇险后，有一段描写得很精彩。就是鲁滨逊把他流落荒岛后所遇到的福与祸整个列了起来，从篇幅上来看，福居多，而且还在后面写到“上帝神奇地把船送到这个海岸附近，又使我可以从船上取下许多东西，让我终生受用不尽。”从以上可以看出，鲁宾逊是一个勇敢无畏的人，但更是一个从不抱怨命运，乐观顽强的人。正是他这种精神，深深地感染了我。

这本书在给我带来收获的同时，也使我深深得反思。如果命运也让我流落荒岛我会怎么样呢?我是在城市里娇生惯养的子女，在荒岛上我一样事情也不会做，包括烧饭洗衣等，我只会在那儿怨天尤人，或者是怀着侥幸心理等着人来救我。可我在荒岛上的命运还是只有一种，要不是饿死，就是冷死。这些立马提醒我这个娇生惯养的城市女孩，要学会生存，学会独立，不要去抱怨生活，去抱怨老天，在平时生活中也应该学习一些生存的基本。

在我们的现实生活中就有许多像鲁滨逊一样面对困难用不畏惧的人，比如说这次汶川大地震中，教师谭千秋在危险来临时，并没有逃走，而是护住了自己的学生，最后自己死了了，学生活了，面对困难不畏惧的他，就是一名如鲁滨逊一样的英雄。

读完此书，种种思考过后，我觉得鲁宾逊是一个不抱怨命运，乐观、勇敢、顽强的人，而懂得此番道理的背后，带给我的则是警示，作为一个女孩子，是不是应该去学会生存，学会坚强，学会独立，学会不抱怨命运，做一个“现代的鲁滨逊”呢?

记得我在学习的过程中，经常遇到一些困难，我不是想办法克服它，而是和困难玩起了迷藏，有一次，我对一个数学问题特别的感兴趣，但是始终没有把这个问题弄明白，因为要搞清楚这各问题，需要花很多的时间和精力，于是我心安理得的放弃了，可是后来在考试中我又遇到了同一个问题，还是没有解决掉，我好后悔，虽然当时暂时的“绕”开了这个困难，但困难最终又和我遇上了。想想鲁滨逊在他19岁那年登上了出海的船。可不幸的是他遭到了大风暴，在茫茫的大海里漂流了好长时间，最后被海水带到了一个荒无人烟的孤岛上，这个岛上没有人烟，只有他遇难船上的一只狗和两只猫，他企图向来往的船只求救，却发现那只船上的人都是海贼。他用身边仅有的一些物品建了一坐“房子”，后来又在遇难的船上找到了一些面包、酒、衣服、枪弹等等……就这样开始了他长达二十八年两个月零十九天的孤岛漂流。在这么长久的时间里，他不仅要战胜寂寞和孤独，还要战胜饥饿和疾病，更不能让海上的强盗发现他，他总是乐观的面对眼前的一切，珍惜身边每一个可以让他求生的机会，在困难面前他也害怕过，逃避过但最后总是战胜了自己而获得了生的希望。

我们今天在学习和生活中的困难和鲁滨逊比起来，还是困难吗?我一定要改掉我的坏毛病，遇到困难不再着“绕”着走，而是要像鲁滨逊一样，勇敢的和困难作斗争。人生之中，我们任何一个人，都有可能面临各种的逆境，厄运，磨难，但我们要做一颗顽强不息的种子，做一个人生的强者。哪怕只有一线希望也要争取，决不能放弃!我们要像鲁滨逊那样有志气、有毅力、爱劳动，凭自己的双手创造财富，取得最后的成功。
