1989年成立的中国学生营养促进会在营养学家于若木的主持下，结合世界卫生组织2000年人人享有卫生保健的战略目标，制定了1991年至2000年10年学生营养工作计划。这一计划命名为“护苗系统工程”，其中确定每年5月20日为中国学生营养日。其目的在于广泛、深入宣传学生时期营养的重要性，大力普及营养知识。

1989年5月20日，卫生部和教育部联合启动了“中国学生营养日”活动，至今已十多个春秋。

自1990年起，中国学生营养促进会在每年的5月20日均组织开展学生营养宣传活动。数年来，这项宣传活动得到广大师生、家长的欢迎和许多营养学专家的积极参与、支持，在有些地方已经形成了固定的“ 学生营养日”。为了使学生营养宣传工作更加广泛、深入、持久地开展下去，促进学生营养宣传工作的制度化，2001年5月，教育部、卫生部以(卫疾控发【2001】120号)文联合颁布文件将“中国学生营养日”法定下来。

全国学生营养日-学生营养状况

目前，我国学生营养状况不容乐观，虽然膳食热量供给基本达到标准，但蛋白质供给量偏低，优质蛋白比例小，钙、锌、铁、维生素A等营养素明显不足。由于膳食中铁的吸收利用率低，我国20岁以下人群缺铁性贫血患病率为6—29%。学生膳食中植物源性铁的比例过高，铁的质量差、吸收少;学生钙摄入不足，仅为有关标准的40.6%，这与学生膳食中奶制品、豆类消费量偏低有关。值得一提的是，目前中学生学业负担重、饮食不重视，导致营养状况不如小学生;城市学生因生活水平高，学生偏食严重，多吃高热量的巧克力、饼干等，同时缺乏体育运动和身体锻炼，而农村孩子不偏食，且活动量较大，故城市孩子普遍营养状况不如农村孩子。

I like the English language.To learn English is wonderful.I once wanted to be an English teacher.I also like Chinese literature.When I was really young, I was able to remember lots of poems.I also wanted to be a teacher of Chinese.Now I think that both of my dreams can come true:I will be able to use English to teach foreign friends Chinese and share Chinese culture with them.So that more and more people will be able to get to know the 5000 years history culture,and the prosperity of our great China.
