Dragon Boat Festival is the traditional day in China, it is on the 5th day

of the 5th lunar month. The common activity for different places are dragon boat

competition and eating zongzi. In my hometown, there will be the dragon boat

competition every year. A lot of teams join this activity and there are full of

audiences stand on the river side, wathing and yelling for the teams. It is one

fo the biggest matches in my hometown. What’ more, making zongzi is also the

tradition. My mother makes the zongzi at this time every year, she told me that

she learned it from my grandma and she would teach me in the future.

Dragon Boat race Traditions

At the center of this festival are the dragon boat races. Competing teams drive their colorful dragon boats forward to the rhythm of beating drums. The time of year of the Dragon Boat Festival, the fifth lunar moon, has more significance than just the story of Qu Yuan. Many Chinese consider this time of year an especially dangerous time when extra efforts must be made to protect their family from illness. Families will hang various herbs, called Ay Tsao, on their door for protection. The drinking of realgar wine is thought to remove poisons from the body. Hsiang Bao are also worn. These sachets contain various fragrant medicinal herbs thought to protect the wearer from illness.

As an outgoing junior school student, I have many interests, such as

watching movies, reading books, searching the Internet, playing computer games,

attending various sports. In the spare time, the one thing I like most is

watching movies, because it’s very convenient and interesting. Usually, movies

tell wonderful stories to us. They are humorous, sad, happy, intricate or

thought-provoking. You can get many from a good movie. Besides, my favorite

sport is basketball. Every time after I play basketball, I feel relaxed. I focus

Most westerners always celebrate Christmas Day as their major festival, in

order to memorialize Jesus. During that time, they always have several days off,

Thanks to my parents, I have been to many places. I feel so lucky to

Travel helps me to be independent. For many people, they trend to travel by

groups, which is very convenient. The companies plan everything for them, and

they just need to follow the schedules. But as for me, I only enjoytraveling

On the way to climb mountains with my friends, we also met many climbers,

including young people and old people. The young mans speed of climbing was

fast, and he disappeared in a flash; the old mans climbing was very casual, at

least slowly, with a happy face. Maybe young people climb the mountain to get to

the top of the mountain, while old people climb the mountain to enjoy the

scenery along the way.

My friends and I are neither the first nor the second. We will carefully

Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern,

we find that some people hold the idea of living in the country, while others

prefer living in the city. In my opinion, I prefer the city life, though it has

advantages and disadvantages.

First of all, city life is very colorful. City is the center of the

surrounding area. So, it is also the most booming place having the best things.

There are many great things and wonderful activities in the city, while there

isn’t in the country. For example, there are KFC, wonderful shopping mall,

your extremely noisey partys last until the early hours of the next morning so

Everyone always has a good Sunday. On Sundays, everybody does some things

what he like.Last Sunday, Jack had a relaxing Sunday. He got up 6 o’clock. After

breakfast, Jack played basketball with his friends. They were very happy. Then

he played the guitar in the room. And he sang songs very loudly. Though it’s

very relaxing for him, it also make very noisy for neighbors. Maybe he should

turn down the music. At noon, jack fed his pet cat henry. He is Jack’s favorite.

Jack always play with him on the weekends. At night, he watched TV on the sofa.

At the some time, he ate many delicious snacks. So he really had a great time.At

the of day, jack thought if I always have a relaxing Sunday like today. I will

become the happiest boy all over the world.

The moment I stepped in high school, I have made up my mind to study hard

for the purpose to enter a good university. In the first year, I made a lot of

new friends. All of them were so excellent that I wanted to learn from them. As

the second year has come, I felt great pressure. My scores went up and down and

I felt so worried. I told myself that I should find a way to relieve pressure.

Listening to music was a good way. I would sing with the music and shake my

body, which made me forget everything but the joyous music. Second, I would like

to talk to my friends, because they understood me. We would have some tea in the
