这篇故事主要讲了：有一位老人，他有一位孙子，这位老人是专门钓鱼的，在孩子小的时候，老人教会了小孩钓鱼的技能，不久孩子长大了，不想离开老人。就天天和老人住在一起。一天老人要出海，他要去很远的地方去捕鱼，他没有让孩子去。在途中老人受到了很多的折磨，最后钓到了一条非常大的鱼就准备回家，可是鱼身上的血，吸引了很多的鲨鱼。老人为了让鱼不被鲨鱼吃掉，就跟鲨鱼搏斗，在我印象中最深刻的一次是老人看见鲨鱼要来抢肉时，赶忙拿起舵，在鲨鱼的脑袋上不停的敲打，可是鲨鱼抢走了一点鱼肉。结果还是鲨鱼赢了!老人只好垂头丧气地回到了家。孩子看见了老人回到了家，孩子便说：“我们可以一起去钓鱼了，我会给你带来好运。”

闲来无事，又重新潜心拜读了一遍《老人与海》，读时却不禁感想颇深，仿佛不是在阅读一本枯燥的书，而是在阅读一颗生动的心，一颗赤红的心，一颗跳动的充满激情的心。那是数年前我体会不到的。我的感怀也由此开始。

简练，或者说精炼的文字，配上扣人心弦的叙述，即使不长的小说，也能成功，而牵动读者的心。《老人与海》在海明威的思绪中流转，充满炽热的液体，不曾冷却。

王勃笔下流淌出的千古传唱的《滕王阁序》，其间曾说，“老当益壮，宁移白首之心，穷且益坚，不坠青云之志。”这不仅是一个人的志向，也是老人圣地亚哥的真实写照，是他的灵魂的最恰当描述，是一种生命意义，是一种悲剧一般的壮丽，还是一种对人生的洞悉。当这个世界的天平不向每个人倾斜时，总用人会被象征倒霉的另一端所高高抬起，没有信心，厄运会轻易吞噬空虚的心灵。人真的是很奇怪的动物，为何有勇气面对死亡，却没有勇气面对失败呢？难道失败真的如此可怕吗？冷冷的海风里夹杂着一股血腥，也许这才是人真正害怕的。唯有不羁的灵魂，才是与大海的对抗，与自然的对抗，与世界的对抗，与命运的对抗，这样的灵魂才能做到，真正的伟大，即使他不曾成功过。

这本书主要讲了一位老人常年在海上打鱼。有一次，他钓到了一条比船还大的大鱼，但在返回时遇到了鲨鱼群，老人使出浑身解数与鲨鱼打斗，鲨鱼把大鱼的肉都啃光了，但老人还是拖回了一副大鱼骨架。

从老人坚持与鲨鱼搏斗，不轻言放弃的事例中我联想到了好多这样的故事。古代的名医李时珍，他自幼就想要编写一本医药巨著，他翻山越岭，四处寻找药草，经过了二十多年的努力，终于写出了著名的《本草纲目》。

难道他这种坚持不懈的精神不值得我们学习吗？中国达人秀冠军刘伟，他十岁的时候因为车祸失去了双臂，但他没有被命运击垮，每天坚持用脚趾练习弹钢琴，最终成为了达人秀冠军。难道这种滴水石穿的精神不值得我们学习吗？还有发明家诺贝尔，他在发明炸药的过程中，他的弟弟被炸死，父亲被炸成残废，但他毫不气馁，仍然坚持研究炸药，终于他发明出了爆炸力强且稳定的固体炸药，难道他这种坚持不懈的精神不值得提倡吗？现实生活中，这样的例子也不少。

就比如我吧，今年我的体育成绩只有及格，而学校规定只有体育成绩达到良好才能评新三好。我其他的功课成绩都还不错，老师破例让我和三班的另一位和我一样情况的同学一起练习，补考一次。我们一起互相鼓励，互相竞争，正是这种坚持不懈的精神才让我们在考试中取得了好成绩，成为了三好生。

The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a great part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.

这本书让我受益匪浅。桑提阿果爷爷不被任何困难所压服，尽自己最大的努力与生活中的磨难做不屈不挠的斗争。他说：“一个人并不是生来就要给打败的，你尽可以消灭他，却不能打败他。”这种永不言败的硬骨头精神深深地刻在了我的心上，有也要像桑提阿果爷爷那样，永不言败。

读了《老人与海》，我便被主人公乐观，勇敢与执着的硬汉形象所深深吸引。

尽管老人最终并没有将大马林鱼安全地带回家，不是最后的胜利者。但是从另一个角度看，老人难道就不是一个令人崇敬的胜利者吗?因为他至始至终，都没有向大海，向大马林鱼，更没有向鲨鱼妥协和投降，他在精神上取得了虽败犹荣的胜利。在暗潮汹涌的海面上，残破的小船，冷冷的海风夹杂着浓烈的血腥味，也许这才是人真正害怕的，唯有不羁的灵魂，才能与大海对抗，与自然对抗，与命运对抗，这才是真正的伟大，即使他不曾成功过。

受到其他渔民的讥讽，整整八十四天没捕到鱼，辛辛苦苦得来的鱼被鲨鱼吃了个精光……面对人和自然的重重打击，老人却依然能坚守自我的一方净土，还可以喊出“人不是生来就被打败的”的豪言壮语，这又是如何的无畏与凛然!但是,不可否认的是，从物质上来看，这位老人是位彻彻底底的失败者，他失去了武器，失去了战利品，还险些失去生命。然而，从精神层面来说，老人又何尝不是一个胜利者呢?纵使老人一次次失败，他从没有绝望过，那份淡定，平息了一切波涛。老渔夫，虽然老了，倒霉、失败;但他仍旧坚持努力，而能在失败的风度上嬴得胜利。他失去了所有努力的成果，但他没有失去的，是一颗勇于抗争的心。

以前，我做什么事只要有一点不顺利，就会退缩，就会放弃，有时还会说上几句垂头丧气的话。在学习上，我只要有几次考试不是很理想就没有信心，认为自己考不到好成绩。但是在《老人与海》中，瘦弱的老人与鲨鱼搏斗，鱼叉被鲨鱼带走了，他把小刀绑在桨把上乱扎；刀子折断了，他用短棍；短棍也丢掉了，他用舵把来打。他永不放弃，最后得到了成功。我明白了人无论怎样，最怕的就是没有信心。信心就好比是汽车的马达，是人前进的动力。如果你做一件事有了信心，你就等于成功了一半。老人充满信心、拥有锲而不舍的精神，不正是我所缺少的吗？

所以今后，我不管遇到什么困难，都要自信地十足地去面对，坚持到底，决不退缩。我要感谢书，感谢它让我学到了那么多知识，感谢它让我懂得了那么多道理，感谢它让我知道自己的不足，及时改正自己的缺点，使我成为一个对社会有用的人。
