Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. The Spring Festival, the most jubilant and important festival in China, is observed by most Chinese people at home and abroad. Our hometown is not an exception.

Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting. Each family pastes up Spring Festival couplets to convey their best wishes for the coming year.

On the New Year’s Eve, the whole family sits around, having a

sumptuous feast of reunion. It is worth mentioning that the food we have called maiyouzhi is unique. There is a flat piece of wheat sheet covering various vegetable and meat then rolling them up. What a delicious it is! After dinner, the family always watches the Spring Festival Gala Evening, and sets up fireworks to watch in the New Year.

On the first day of the New Year, people pay visits to the relatives and friends to send New Year’s greetings to each other and wish everything smoothly in the new year. The kids can get a lot of lucky money from the elders.

During the whole holiday, there are varied activities in the town such as lion and dragon dance, and all the citizens enjoy them very much.

My College Life

How time flies! I have been in Zhejiang Gongshang University for a semester. In retrospect, my college life is busy but colorful. Different from my senior high school’s life, the whole new life I led is much freer. I arranged my time,

becoming the master of myself.

First of all, study is still the core of my life. I major in Japanese which is both interesting and challenging. We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. Besides of the regular courses, I often attended the lecture and went to the library to eich my knowledge, and I do benefit from what I learnt.

As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. Little as my effort is, I tried my best to help the people around us. Once the YVP organized us to sell secondhand books and raise the money to help the people indeed.

In addition, I quite enjoy the travels and the bees. Travels let me experience the sunshine, fresh air as well as the special taste of the local customs and practices. While the bees keep the friendship shining, and friends are as if family members. Both of them lit up my life.

All in all, the college life is a journey, and I have long way to go; all the memory is the most precious treasure, and I will value every moment.

I remember 9 months ago, I was in a hurry to prepare for the college exam. I was afraid I couldnt get to my favorite school at the time. But at last I realized my dream. Now I study Chinese in my favorite university, Hanoi University.

After going to college, my life didnt change too much. Because I live and study in Hanoi, so I dont have to leave the family or rent a house. My home is not far from school, just 15 minutes by bike. But, to be honest, I prefer to live away from home, because I can live on my own, and I can feel the feeling of homesickness.

After the study, everything here is very new to me. I study in a new environment, know a lot of new friends, learn a lot of new knowledge, and so on. At first I felt a little nervous. But now Im getting used to it. The classmates of our class are all very united, often help each other to learn, there is a collective activity, we all join. When I came to school, I felt that I was not very nervous, but more and more knowledge was needed to learn. People know that Chinese characters are very complicated and difficult to remember, so every day I work hard and I will ask the teacher where I dont understand. Most people miss their grade school days and think they are the happiest time of their life, but whenever I recall them I cannot help feeling a little sad. In my young days I disliked any dismal atmosphere and could not bear the feeling of loneliness, yet the fact was that I often lived in a dismal home and frequently had the bitter taste of lonesomeness. Before I finished my elementary education I had attended three grade schools and thus it was difficult for me to cultivate enduring friendships. The feeling of being friendless was a constant source of pain to me. Those unhappy grade school days have of course long been over. I still have an abhorrence for any dismal atmosphere and lonesomeness, but hardened by experience I now find them less disturbing than they were.

在2067年，人类将进入另一个四维空间。我们都将以光速进行生活，光速电梯会带着我们转眼间就到达目的地，你可以游山玩水，你可以俯榄名山，你可以飘扬过海，你可以飞天揽月，我们的意念将主宰我们的生活。若是渴了，就会出现香橙味、蜜桃味、草莓味……只要你想的到的各种饮料都会显现在眼前，你可以尽情的挑选你的最爱。如果心情不好，就可以闭上眼睛，一首可以让你放松心情的音乐缓缓响起，如此贴心对意，在舒缓的节奏中你就忘了所有的不快，如果饿了，想吃什么有什么，只有你想不到，没有做不到的。

未来的生活告别了琐碎的家务，进门只需在心里默念密码，门就会应声而开，如果你不小心念错密码，抱歉，“110”马上就到了，未来的社会治安也一样重要。回到家，首先进入眼帘的就是一个宽敞的大客厅，你什么都看不到，只要你心里想坐，就会有沙发，你想看，就会有电视，你累了，就会有床，生活如此简单。可你一定会担心，有生活的地方就会有劳动，到那个时候已经有了智能机械人帮你做好一切。

看到这里你一定会问，如果生活真的变成这个样子，人活着还有什么意义？到那个时候人的生命不再是激烈的竟争，科技的拼杀，生存的较量，而是物种多元化，生态平衡的需要，真正意义的和平，我们呼吁和平，所以我向往另一个纪元的开始。

转眼间，30年过去了，到了2042年了，我的家乡有了极大的变化，下面就让我带领你们去看一看吧！

先看一看我们家乡的景色，到处万紫千红，百花齐放，粉妆玉砌，姹紫嫣红，风景如画，高山流水，山青水秀，你说美不美丽，你一看见就一定会爱上这里，因为实在是太美了。这里以前是很脏的，垃圾在到处，你一走，就看见脚的下面有一处垃圾，现在好了。

再看一看我家吧，家具全是新的，没有一点脏痕，还有五十个保姆，都是我雇的，一月三千块钱。如果干不好，每月一千块钱。这里的保姆都很温柔。再下去看看，现在各家都有汽车了，都是高级的，一万买的，而且是自己的钱买的，没借别人的钱。那些困难的人们，也开始变得富有起来。困难的、不困难的现在越来越有爱心了，都找着一些流浪狗、流浪猫等等动物来养着它们，让它们变得更活泼，现在已有无数的流浪动物过着幸福的日子了，所以全球的动物都不会咬人了。世界上的小偷也变的很少了，我说过，每个人都很富有，包括小偷，他们也改邪归正了，现在也有了自己的家庭，祝愿他们幸幸福福的、甜甜美美的，不要再做这样的事情了……

我妈我爸都每人一辆汽车呢！你说一说，还不是因为现在生活好了，家家都有钱了，包括那些捡破烂的，每月政府给每个地区的城市。乡村……每人发有两千块钱呢，你说一说，这难道不是现在科技更强大了，所以才这样美好，希望以后的日子更好！
