My name is Li Hua. I was born in the city of Dalian, Liaoning Province. I studied in Guangming Primary School from 1984 to 1990. I have been very fond of and good at English and computer ever since. Therefore I placed first in the school computer competition last year. “正月十五闹元宵，红红火火过小年”。一年一度的元宵节来临啦！

今年爸爸妈妈带我到南京夫子庙看花灯，走进夫子庙文德桥，映入眼帘的不仅有虎虎生威的虎灯笼，而且还有雪白的兔子灯、吉祥的鸽子灯、金黄色的橘灯……真是各式各样、丰富多彩。把整南京夫子庙元宵节夜晚照的如同白天一样。

花灯展示中心更为漂亮，这儿琳琅满目的花灯使人眼花缭乱，看都看不过来。看那桃灯，粉红的底色，桃尖上涂点红色，桃底有翠绿的大叶子，真是既漂亮又简单。再看那虎灯，制作好框架后，用闪闪发亮的金纸糊住框架，这样，一只栩栩如生的老虎就立刻展现在了眼前。再看那龙灯，追着宝珠上下翻腾，全身的鳞片金光闪闪，龙的尾巴不停地摆动。观看的人们情不自禁地喊：“龙活啦！龙活啦！”还有……真是一言难尽啊！

走出夫子庙，爆竹在空中炸响，仿佛把天空炸开了一个洞，满天的星星从天空一下撒了下来。快看啊！远处五彩缤纷的烟花从天而降，一下子照亮了南京城外。

回到家里已是晚上十点左右，妈妈给我们每人煮了一碗汤圆。我们一家三口吃着白白胖胖的汤圆，真正体会到了团团圆圆的亲情。

元宵节农历正月十五。又称上元节、元夜、灯节。相传，汉文帝(前179—前157年)为庆祝周勃于正月十五勘平诸吕之乱，每逢此夜，必出宫游玩，与民同乐，在古代，夜同宵，正月又称元月，汉文帝就将正月十五定为元宵节，这一夜就叫元宵。

吃“汤圆”是元宵节的一项重要习俗。汤圆，又名“汤团”、“元宵”。吃汤圆的风俗始于宋代，生意人则美其名日：“元宝”。宋元元初时，汤圆已成为元宵节的应节食品，所以人们又称它为“元宵”。如今，北方叫元宵，南方称汤圆。元宵依馅论，分有馅和无馅两种，有馅元宵又有咸、甜、荤、素之分。

猜灯谜是元宵节的项目之一。中国最大的一次灯谜盛会是1979年在南京举行的“九城市灯谜会猜”，设有灯谜上万条，3天里参加的人次达两万多人。
