今天是万圣节，我和乐睿琦一起在小区搞了一次“万圣节活动”。我和乐睿琦披上骷髅衣，带上南瓜面具，拿着一袋糖果，准备去卖糖。我们先到九楼，敲开 门，把玩具和糖果给了一位阿姨，她笑着给了我们10元！我们又来到西区。我带着乐睿琦来到了我公公家，我按了门铃，婆婆刚开门，我们就说：“不给糖吃就捣 蛋！”婆婆只好把糖给了我，还买了我们的糖。我们又跑回到东区，我们在一个小木椅上坐下来，拿出自己带的糖，一边说话一边吃糖。乐睿琦说：“先去我家拿个 灯笼，然后去要糖。”于是，我就来到了乐睿琦家，她给了我一盏吸血蝙蝠灯，自己拿了一盏笑脸南瓜灯。这时，我妈妈打来一个电话给乐睿琦说：“卖完糖就到公 公家来吃饭！”我们提着灯来到了公公家。吃完饭，妈妈带我们去找魏菁辰。乐睿琦给了魏菁辰一盏骷髅木乃伊灯。魏菁辰妈妈带着我们去她奶奶家。进了这一单 元，我们就说：“我们要一家一家要了糖果后再去！”于是，我妈妈和魏菁辰妈妈就先上楼了。我们就从二楼开始要，大家给了我们钱、牛肉干、巧克力、糖，好多 好多东西。就这样我们一直要到了九楼。我把成果拿给妈妈看，妈妈见了，可开心啦！后来我们又去了隔壁单元要糖和卖糖。第一家人家不知道是怎么一回事，恶声 恶气地对我们说：“去去去，哪来的小孩，快点走，不然就叫保安和警察！”当时，我们都很害怕，魏菁辰的眼中充满了泪水。而我却很气愤，心想：你们不买就不 买，骂我们干什么嘛？我盯着他，恨不得扁他一顿！但是我们没有退缩，继续向上卖糖、要糖。看来世界上大多数人都很善良，但总有那么一小部分人不是很善良 的。最后我们又得到很多糖。我已有21元了！

（妈妈附言：其实，我们并没有直接上楼，孩子们在二楼卖糖时，我和魏菁辰妈妈躲在四楼的楼梯 上，听她们怎么卖糖要糖。先是乐睿琦按门铃，按了一会儿，人家来开门，孩子们就七嘴八舌地说：“今天是万圣节，给点糖我们吧。”人家都觉得很好玩、很好 笑，就捧糖分给小朋友们。如果人家没有糖，孩子们就说：“买点我们的糖吧！”人家就问：“怎么卖的呀？”孩子们说：“一块钱一个！”（我跟她们说一元一 把，她们可真会涨价！）乐睿琦还拿出小玩具来卖！大人们都乐不可支，有的人家给每个小朋友1元，还有一家直接给了20元。我和魏菁辰妈妈又好笑又吃惊，没 想到小家伙们还蛮有能力的！到了隔壁单元，第一家人家，她们去敲门，我们在门外观望。开门的是一个老先生，很不耐烦地赶她们，老太太也出来了，很凶地要喊 警察。小朋友们有点不知所措，有的跟他们解释这是万圣节的游戏，有的解释说是自己在社会实践 。魏菁辰跑到我们这边，急急急地问：“妈妈，怎么办啊？”我很心疼哦，想说：“算了，我们回家了！”可是魏妈妈鼓励魏菁辰：“遇到困难不能退缩，要坚持下 去！” 乐睿琦对着那家人家说：“你们会遭到谴责的！”我和魏妈妈哑然失笑，乐睿琦真是能干！于是小朋友们继续上楼，继续要糖。我和魏妈妈在楼下的门外站了一会， 听听没有什么动静，就回去了。过了一会，小朋友们回家了。 清点战利品：糖果若干，有韩国糖、巧克力、牛肉干等，子墨卖了21元，乐睿琦更多。

回家以后我发现子墨眼睛有点红，她说淌了几滴猫泪。我想她一定是害怕的。

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.

Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

万圣节前夕

万圣节前夕是美国人年年都会庆祝的秋季节日。它的意思是“神圣的夜晚”，在每年的10月31日，也就是万圣节前夜。但实际上这不是一个真正的宗教节日，而主要是孩子们的节日。

10月31日是西方一个的节日——万圣节。听说是由挨家挨户讨要“灵魂饼”为代价来祈祷施舍人家的死者早日升天的习俗，逐渐演变成了现在的儿童装成各种各样的妖魔鬼怪，提着南瓜灯，挨家挨户进行“不给糖就捣乱”的游戏。可是，我常常在想，未来的万圣节，会发展成什么摸样呢?

如果，未来的科技发达了，那么一到万圣节，估计便是另一番景象了：只听见一阵敲门声，不用说，又是一大堆孩子来要糖了，可是，主人一推开家门，咦?没有人?这是怎么回事?猛地，门口一下子响起了一阵冷笑声，之后，半空中忽然凭空出现一个个南瓜灯，还不断地喷着一口口鬼火，十分恐怖，“啊——”主人被吓得尖叫起来，这是，门口的孩子们才露出了“庐山真面目”——他们的身上披的特制斗篷能让光线避开身体，达到隐形的效果，而“杰克灯(即南瓜灯)”里面安装了一个小型的磷火喷射器，能喷出一团团悬空的蓝色火焰。

孩子们露出真面目以后则开始讨取糖果：我明天要考试，请给我一个“智能糖”;“我有点儿感冒，请给我一颗”热药糖“;同学们说我有口臭，请给我一颗强效薄荷糖吧!我有肥胖症，请问有”减肥巧克力“吗?——有一家人不喜欢这些刁钻古怪的孩子，没有给糖给他们，第二天一早便发现自己的磁悬浮跑车没了，吓得冷汗直冒，赶紧四处寻找，最后仅发现车子还在原地未动，只是被涂上了一层隐形的颜料。无疑，这是孩子们的恶作剧。

如果未来资源短缺，人们连糖果也没有原料生产了，那么万圣节估计又是一番奇特的景象了——阵敲门声响起，主人打开门，只见一个没有任何装饰的儿童站在门口，用恳求的眼神望着他：”先生，今天好歹是万圣节，求你给我一点面包吧!“”对不起。“主人毫不客气的地回绝了。”我们家只剩半袋子面粉了，全世界都在闹资源危机，哪里还有多余的食物给你们过节呀!快走吧!“孩子们失望地离开了这户人家，什么也没有做——他连制造恶作剧的东西都没有了。几年后，因为资源危机，万圣节被废除，成为了历史。

或许，以后的万圣节还会增加更多的规则。万圣节到了，路灯被紧急更换，整条大街变成了”杰克灯“的海洋。而在大街上要糖的从孩子变成了大人们，一个个身材高大的”妖魔鬼怪“们敲开大门，从孩子们的手中接过一把把诱人的糖果，也玩起了”不给糖就捣乱“的游戏。万圣节成了亲子互动的时间。

在今年的万圣节，我也收到了巧克力。不知未来的万圣节到底会成为怎样的呢?

今天是一个愉快的日子，下午，全班的人已去做面具看电影，因为今天讲的节日就是国外的万圣节。

国外，每年万圣节都要做面具和衣服吓别人还要说“快给我糖果，不然我捣乱。”十分的好玩。

下午，我们坐在教室，老师给我们几张彩纸，让我们做一个恐怖一点的面具，我想了想，便用铅笔描出了一个轮廓，再用剪刀在上面吧它给剪了下来，最后只剪出了一个人不像人，鬼不像鬼的面具，我带着这个面具，在外教那要了两个糖果，别人的面具更是五花八门，神魔鬼样，十分奇异新鲜，有的人做了一个吸血鬼的面具，有的人做了幽灵的面具，有的人做了骷髅的面具，甚至还有的人做了高达的面具。

我们一会想，一会聊天，一会看电影，十分有趣。

很快，一天就过去了，我们结束了这一天，迎来新的明天。

Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

早于十月中，堪萨斯已开始“闹鬼”了，在繁忙的街道上，已看见四处悬挂起万圣节的鬼怪装饰，很多百货公司也忙着把应节礼品及衣物堆放在橱窗里，吸引不少路人驻足观看，而超级市场及街市亦摆放大大小小的南瓜售卖，供市民买回家布置家园或制作南瓜灯之用，当然嘛，也有主妇烹饪菜肴或糕饼的南瓜。

节日之前我就买好了服装；我的服装是一个军人，有一个迷彩的头盔，和一个绿色的护甲，还有一条漂亮的迷彩裤，我还拿了只有晚上才亮的南瓜灯。

下午，学校里有一个party，我就穿着我的服装去了，在学校里，有的同学扮成了大猩猩，有的同学扮成了法师，有的同学扮成了公主……

到了晚上，才是这一天的“精华”所在，我赶紧吃完了晚饭，就去一个商场要糖，商场的每家商铺前面，都有一个人坐在椅子上，一手提着南瓜桶，一手给我们发糖，脸上洋溢着笑容，我们每个人获得糖后也很高兴，于是，我们就把商场转了一圈。

据说，故人的亡魂会在万圣节这一天回到故居地在活人身上找寻生灵，借此再生，而且这是人在死后获得再生的唯一希望。而活人则惧怕死人的灵魂来夺生，于是人们就在这一天熄掉炉火、烛光，让死人的魂灵无法找到活人，又把自己打扮成妖魔鬼怪把死人的魂灵吓走。之后，他们又会把火种、烛光重新燃起，开始新的一年的生活。我非常庆幸能在这个色彩缤纷的秋天，度过一个原汁原味的万圣节。

这一天，我一共收到了108块糖果和一个玩具球。

There has been a long time since I came back from Hainan―wowhainan is such a wonderful place that I will never forget it .It‘s really a good place where gave me a rather good impression. I feel so wonderful during the journey as I have experienced a lot of things for the first time.

In January 7th ---the first day of my journey the fluttering snowflakes diffused over Changzhou. I first took the train to shanghai then took the plane to Hainan in Pudong airport. Although it’s my second time to take plane I felt even more excited than the first time. When flying I found that I was flying over the cloud of different types and colors. The sky is also brighter and clearer than that I had ever seen. Soon we arrived in Meilan airport in Haikou the climate is totally different from that in Changzhou It was warm there and we could see coconut trees everywhere.

After 3 days competition I went to BoAo where is famous for its forum. It was my first time to experience the sea and the beach in the sunshine. When sitting on the cruise I could clearly see the ocean waves pushing the windows of the cruise. It seemed that I was surrounded by the waves and the crystal water. I felt as if a fish which had been living in the sea happily. Then we land on the beach. The sand on the beach was so soft that it was cosy to lie on the beach. I tried searching for the shells on the beach but failed. The beach was totally different from what I heard before as there was nothing except footsteps on the beach. In the afternoon I played football on beach and scored a goal with my new friends from all around China. It was really interesting and challenging.

The next day I went to Haikou. I first visited the tomb of Hairui an officer in Qing dynasty who was famous for rectitude. I think he should be the role model of every person. In the afternoon I went to the geological park of volcano. A lot of stones of different shapes came into views. When arriving the top of the park it seemed that the while city was under my view. Also I had seen plenty of interesting and rare types of the plants. I also got into a small hole in the park it is said that the hold was exactly the original hole where maqma came from. But the volcano had stopped from erupting for thousands of years.

our national day is coming. we shall have days of rest,presumably weeklong holidays again just like the weeklong may day holidays. many people welcome weeklong holidays and are busy planning where and how to spend the seven days;whereas many other people do not applaud. as to me, weeklong holidays mean a span of dullness, boredom, melancholy and helplessness, and i think anyone who had experienced the holiday sufferings in may would share my feelings.

i well remember that from may day, to be more exact, a few days earlier than may day, the shopping season started.most shops extended their shopping hours to respond to their overwhelmingly enthusiastic customers. there were special sales with discount coupons and instant lucky draws and various sales promotions in nearly every big store to lure po tential customers into spending more. crowds of shoppers flocked towards department stores, enjoying their high purchasing power.

there were traffic jams almost everywhere, people waited in long queues at bus-stops:and taxi-stands? looking entirely exhausted.tempers flared when people gotpushed or if someone else cut the queue.impatient drivers honked at each other every now and then.

the railway station was congested with travelers who rushed to the platform like a swarm of bees and then squeezed their way into the train for seats as if there would be no tomorrow.

in the restaurants, tables were shared. a platoon of waiters filed out from the kitchen armed with various containers of eatables. orders were taken feverishly and then shouted across to the kitchen. excitement reigned everywhere as waiters ran hither and thither to fill the orders.

the above are just some vivid scenes that happened a few months ago. everywhere was chaos and chaos everywhere. i am really afraid the drama will soon be repeated.
