Table Manners

The main difference between Chinese and western eating habits is that unlike the West, where everyone has their own plate of food, in China the dishes are placed on the table and everybody shares. If you are being treated by a Chinese host, be prepared for a ton of food. Chinese are very proud of their culture of cuisine and will do their best to show their hospitality.

And sometimes the Chinese host use their chopsticks to put food in your bowl or plate. This is a sign of politeness. The appropriate thing to do would be to eat the whatever-it-is and say how yummy it is. If you feel uncomfortable with this, you can just say a polite thank you and leave the food there.

Dont stick your chopsticks upright in the rice bowl.Instead,lay them on your dish. 记得从我懂事起，爸爸就告诉我：“你们是幸福的孩子，你拥有两个沮暖的家，一个大家，一个小家，每一个小家的成员都是大家庭中的一员。”我疑惑不解，眨着眼睛问：“那个家在哪里?大吗?离我们家远吗?比我们家的人多吗?有比我小的孩子吗?”一连串的问题逗乐了爸爸，爸爸笑着拍着我的头说：“有很大很大你走不完的地方，有很多很多你数不清的人，还有许多哥哥、姐姐和弟弟、妹妹们，这些等你长大了就会明白的，”虽然我还有许多谜，也还是不知道那个家究竟怎样，但我还是乐了，因为我很幸运，我是有两个家的孩子。

慢慢儿我长大了，我上学了，我知道了一个既熟悉又亲切的名字——中国，它是我的祖国，就是爸爸说的大家，那个原本不了解，有很多谜要去解开的大家。现在我会写她，会在世界地图上立刻找到她。我会如数家珍地告诉你：她悠久的历史，她富饶的土地，她灿烂的文化，她勤劳、智慧的儿女们……我已经把家谱深深地记在心里，我为她感到无比骄傲、自豪。

我爱我的小家，更爱我的大家。可我不知该怎样去爱，怎样不同一般地去爱。妈妈从北京给我买来一件玩具，我很喜欢。这是一个由木板拼成的祖国地图的纸板，每个木块代表祖国的一个省，像是大家庭中所拥有的彼此相邻的房屋，按照把木块拼成完整的祖国地图所需时间长短来进行比赛。爸爸常和我比赛，并给我讲每个省、每个城市的历史和风土人情，从中，我又知道了我的大家庭中许多趣事和许多没有揭示的奥秘。爸爸说：“这些奥秘等待着你们去揭开，这是你们的责任。你们应该从小做好学生、好孩子，学好知识、本领，将来完成任务，来报答大家庭给予你们的幸福，这些等你长大了是会理解的。”又是等着长大，爸爸，我已经是大人啦!虽说我还不能完全理解爸爸话的含义，但我知道：我非常幸运，我有这么好的条件。我应该好好学本领、学知识，做个好学生。“我会成为好学生的!”我心里暗暗下了决心。

是的，我一天天在长大，我和你们大家一样，在祖国这个大家庭中幸福地成长着，无忧无虑，天天向上。我已经把自己深深地融入这个大家庭中，同它紧紧地相联在一起。如果你们问我开始的问题：爱与不爱?我会一千遍一万遍地告诉你：“我爱!非常爱，我会永远爱你——中国。”

Chinese New Year is coming and my family is very busy. It‘s because Chinese New Year is very special and important. We must prepare many special things to get ready for this festival.

First, will make a big New Year meal. Second, we will make “Good-luck wishes.” Third, we will set off firecrackers. New Year meal is delicious and we think that eating some will bring us good luck. A long time ago, Chinese people believed red color could bring our good luck too. And we set off firecrackers could frighten ghosts away.

Chinese New Year is very popular between students. Because we can have a long happy holiday.

为了庆祝我们伟大的祖国68周岁生日，中央电视台特地在宏伟的长城脚下，举办了一场庆祝晚会《开学第一课，我爱你中国》。

晚会分为四个主题部分。

一、爱是分享

一份痛苦，和别人分担，可减轻一半负担，一份快乐和别人分享可无限量放大快乐。片中展示了几个藏族小朋友，相互帮助、团结友爱的生活在一起，他们在一起学习，一起成长。

二、爱是力量

在灾难面前，爱是度过难关的有力武器，在平常时期爱是温暖。来自四面八方的爱，帮助遭遇“莫拉克”台风灾难的台湾同胞们度过难关，重建家园。

三、爱是承担

有一个坚强的男孩叫马鹏飞，他的父母都去世了，他和奶奶相依为命。他的奶奶有糖尿病，因为家里没有钱耽误了治疗，在马鹏飞五岁时，他奶奶的眼睛看不见了，年幼他就一边上学一边照顾奶奶，每天放学回家做饭、烧水，还扶奶奶去楼下散布……小小年纪的马鹏飞展现了一个勇于承担责任的男子汉本色。

四、爱是荣耀

片中请来“神舟”五号航天飞船的杨利伟，讲述了飞船在太空中的一些经历。还有五位国旗的升旗手，那五位升旗手每天都在刻苦训练，才会有那么完美的动作。他们都是我们的骄傲！
