江苏常州外国语学校搬入新址，“数百名学生身体出现异常”被媒体曝光后，常州市有关部门作出回应，称该校空气质量达标，附近原化工企业没有发现大规模填埋危废。国家环保部调查组已经到达常州，但事件仍在发酵。4月18日，常州外国语学校国际部向家长和师生发布了一封公开信，直指媒体的报道存在一些“硬伤”。该校校长曹慧在回复家长的质疑时说：“媒体并非真理，我们无愧于心。”
