Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.

He is right. As students, we don’t have too much money to buy expensive gifts to our mother, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything to express our thanks to our mothers. We can do something too. I have a few suggestions. For example, we can make a breakfast for our mother, or make a card for her. We can also do some cleaning to reduce mother’s pressure. We can use our lucky money to buy a single carnation. What’s more, we can turn to fathers for help, I think our fathers will be willing to give us some help about what to do on the mother’s day. The chief thing to remember is that the mother’s day is aimed to spend more time with our mother, and appreciate what she has done for the whole family. I think every mother is great, and everybody should do something to let our mothers know that we love her.

Mother’s Day is coming。I want to give my mother a surprise。I’ll buy a special gift for her。 I know，she likes computers and she also likes taking photos。 So，I want to buy a new one。Because our computer is too old to use。But I don’t have enough money。So， I must buy another one。I’ll go to the shop to buy a new album and write my favorite words on it。Tomorrow I will give it to my mom。I think it’s the best gift for her。Becausethis falls my love。

And if I study hard enough，in the future I will make much money。Then I will buy anything my mother love。Although they are very expensive。Now， it’s important to study hard and make progress。Probably I can have a good job and take good care of me are the best gift she wants to get。Mom ，let me tell you”I think you are the best mom in the word and in my heart。”

Mothers day originated in Greece, the ancient greeks in the day to honor the mother of the gods in Greek mythology Hera. I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.

I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!
