20世纪60年代，中国共产党带领30万林县儿女，靠一锤、一钎、一双手，苦战10年，削平1250座山头，架设152个渡槽，打通211条隧道，硬是在太行山悬崖绝壁上，凿出了这条1500公里的“生命之河”，彻底改变了林县人民的命运。在那场气壮山河的伟大实践中，孕育形成了“自力更生，艰苦奋斗，团结协作，无私奉献”的红旗渠精神。每一种精神都有其生长的沃土和文化渊源，红旗渠精神虽生发于林县，却根植于太行。从太行精神母体中分娩出来的红旗渠精神，不仅是对中华传统文化的传承和丰富，而且是民族精神的解放和崛起，更是中国共产党人初心的体现和焕发。

这精神，来自改造自然的世代抗争。巍巍太行，横亘于山西高原和华北平原之间，自然环境恶劣。自古以来，太行人就为求生存，与大自然进行着不屈不挠的抗争，形成了独有的太行之气、太行之魂。祖祖辈辈生活在这里的林县儿女，自然具备了太行人的风骨和精神。林县地处太行山东麓，据《林州县志》记载，从明正统元年到新中国成立的514年间，林县大旱绝收30多次，百姓卖儿卖女，饿殍遍地，甚至多次出现“人相食”的惨状。一部林县志，百年旱荒史。为了水，为了活下去，林县人数百年苦斗不止。新中国成立后，在党的领导下，先后修建了英雄渠、淇南渠、淇北渠、天桥断渠等，挖了成千上万个旱井、旱池，修了30多座中小型水库。长期与恶劣环境的抗争，铸就了林县人“不畏艰难险阻、不向命运低头”的坚韧性格，催生了林县人敢于“劈开太行、重整河山”的冲天豪气。这种历经苦难磨炼的气质，决定了红旗渠精神的韧度。

精神蕴含着理想，也彰显着信念。虽然半个多世纪过去了，人们追寻红旗渠的脚步却从未停歇。日日月月年年，来自中国和世界各地的人们，怀着朝圣般的心情来到这里。在虎口崖上，在青年洞旁，在当年修渠勇士凌空撬石的绝壁下，他们在寻找、在沉思。而对今天的共产党人来说，寻找的就是我们最应该坚守的不变初心，沉思的就是我们最应该担当的时代责任。红旗渠既是一个历史答案，又是一道时代考题，它不仅回答了“物质变精神、精神变物质”这一哲学命题，也在时时叩问着一个拥有8800万党员的执政党：我们从哪里来、要到哪里去，凭什么走到今天、又凭什么去开创未来。

为人民幸福去奋斗，是共产党人赢得人心的根本所在。林县人为了求得赖以生存的水，付出过惨烈代价。仅1942年统计，全县因旱灾逃荒外出达10800户，占总户数的14%;饿死1650人，占总人口的4.3‰。马鞍山村一共500人，就饿死280人。能有一口水，成了林县人最大的渴望。新中国成立后，党和政府为解决缺水问题想尽了办法。以林县县委为代表的林县共产党人，正是在这最艰难的时刻，作出劈开太行山、引来漳河水的重大决策。这是林县人民千百年来最渴望干成的一件大事，事关子孙后代的福祉。人心所向，林县人民表现出空前的凝聚力和创造力。修渠十年，林县人舍命舍家，昼夜苦战，无怨无悔。因为他们坚信，跟着共产党干，就能盼来水，就能过上好日子。早在1946年，美国记者白修德和贾安娜就在《中国的惊雷》一书中感言：“共产党并不曾使用什么魔术，他们只不过知道人民所渴望的改变。”历史一再证明，只要顺应民意，就能赢得人心;只要赢得人心，就能创造奇迹。满足人民对美好生活的向往，是一个党执政的根本价值所在。

敢为百姓命运担当，是共产党人无私无畏的道义基础。革命战争年代，担当就是为民族独立和解放流血牺牲，前赴后继，在所不辞;在今天，担当就是要把人民对美好生活的向往作为奋斗目标，对党和人民负责、为党和人民担责。红旗渠工程上马时，由于受“左”的影响，林县县委“一班人”曾经面临着许多微词和压力。有人甚至向上级告“黑状”，说县委领导不顾百姓死活，还在大搞修渠建设。林县县委领导没有畏惧，在大会上当着上级领导的面力陈修渠理由：“林县老百姓盼水盼了千百年，眼睛都盼瞎了，我们共产党人不去干这件事，还有什么脸面去面对他们，这件事我们干定了，即便丢官罢职也不怕!”一席话让在场的人为之动容。经过调查，上级领导不仅没有批评县委，还指示河南省委，要全力支持红旗渠建设。这就是共产党人的党性，敢为百姓担当，敢于坚持真理。这就是真正的共产党人，心系天下苍生，永远站在人民的立场说话。红旗渠精神的内涵再一次启示我们，对人民负责，就是对党的事业负责;捍卫人民利益，就是捍卫党的利益;站在人民一边，就是站在道义的一边。有了这样的道义基础，我们才能无所畏惧、一往无前，始终与人民同呼吸、共命运;有了这样的道义基础，我们才能真正称得上强大。

当好人民的领路人，是共产党人永葆先进的必然要求。今天的林县人一提起修渠的岁月，最感慨的就是，那时的领导干部形象真好啊。在整个修建过程中，林县的各级干部和广大党员始终走在最前面、冲在最险处、干在最难处。攀岩爆破、悬空排险，都是党员干部带头上。在整个修渠中牺牲的81名烈士，大都是共产党员和共青团员。寒冬腊月，党员干部把房子让给民工住，自己住山洞;夜宿崖壁，为保证群众的安全，党员干部把绳子系在腰上，睡在最外边;工地缺睡席，全县所有党员干部都把自家的席子捐了出来;粮食紧缺，党员干部主动把每天的配给粮减3两，让给群众吃，有的县委领导就曾饿晕在工地上。岂曰无碑，山河为碑;何用留名，人心即名。修渠的群众流传这样一句话：“干部能搬石头，群众就能搬山头;干部能流一滴汗，群众的汗水流成河。”修建红旗渠，无数党员干部以身作则、率先垂范，甘于牺牲、无私奉献，用实际行动为共产党人的先进性作注，让人民群众打心眼里认定“共产党就是咱领路人”。

充满对理想的自信，是共产党人实现梦想的坚强保证。“志不立，天下无可成之事。”红旗渠奇迹的创造，是林县人民坚定信念跟党走的结果，更是共产党人对理想充满自信的结果，是信仰的胜利、意志的胜利。修建红旗渠正值三年自然灾害，人民的生活本来就很艰难，举全县之力投入红旗渠建设，困难与风险可想而知。但林县的共产党人没有被困难吓倒，他们坚信只要真心为了人民、紧紧依靠人民就没有克服不了的困难，没有创造不了的奇迹。有让人民过上好日子的理想，有为人民赴汤蹈火、不惜一拼的勇气，有依靠人民、改变命运的决心，共产党人团结和带领全县人民，意志坚定，士气高昂，义无反顾地走上了战天斗地的第一线。那时的修渠工地，虽然物质条件极度困难，但到处是旗帜和歌声，到处是充满豪迈和自信的笑脸。参加修渠的每一名党员干部，都有一股带领群众冲出苦海的劲头，都有一腔把缺水的帽子甩出太行的热血，都有一种奔向美好生活的坚定意志。正因为理想在胸，信心满满，林县的共产党人才能带领群众，实现“引得清水天上来”的美好梦想。

历史可鉴，渠水如镜。红旗渠既是物质奇迹，更是精神奇迹。传奇的故事感天动地，铁一般的事实印证着铁一般的定律：在中国，只要中国共产党始终保持着建党时的那份初心，就能充分发挥社会主义制度的最大优越性，就能最大程度地赢得人民的拥护和信赖，就什么样的人间奇迹都能创造出来。

半个多世纪过去了，红旗渠仍以它独有的冲击力撞击着我们的灵魂。它像一座历史碑刻，铭记着那段难忘的岁月;它像一座精神堡垒，凝聚了万千人的意志;它更像一堂永远的党课，让我们懂得如何做，人民才会满意。从这个意义上讲，红旗渠不是一座单纯的水利工程，而是一座凝心聚气的民心工程，一座民族精神的解放工程，是共产党人执政为民的真实写照，是走向伟大复兴的精神路标。

红旗渠、太行山、中国梦，因特殊的内涵，形成了一条影响中国的精神链。70多年前，中国共产党带领太行人民抵御外侮，不做亡国奴，挺起了民族脊梁;50多年前，中国共产党带领林县人民甩开膀子，摆脱贫困，绝地逢生，改变了自己的命运;今天，中华民族在中国共产党的领导下，昂起头颅，意气风发，走向复兴，争做世界文明的领跑者。

辉煌依旧，初心不改。“一切向前走，都不能忘记走过的路;走得再远、走到再光辉的未来，也不能忘记走过的过去，不能忘记为什么出发。”在新的历史起点上，我们要继续发扬红旗渠精神，让理想的光芒照亮前进的道路，让来时的初心变成继续奋斗的恒心，让党的旗帜永远飘扬在人民的心中。我们已经拥有“站起来”的昨天，正在拥抱“富起来”的今天，也必将迎来“强起来”的明天!

I am planning to spend my summer holiday on sports this year. Playing

basketball is always my favourite, so some of my classmates and I will form a

small team and play basketball together. Sometimes we may have a match against

some other teams and I do enjoy the sense when we win the game.
