经常听人们夸赞长城、歌颂长城、吟诵长城，不到长城非好汉。于是，今年暑假妈妈带我来到了金山岭长城。

听导游阿姨介绍，金山岭长城是国家4A级景区，它位于河北省承德市。金山岭长城在明朝时期由爱国将领戚继光主持修筑成的。还素有万里长城，金山独秀。的美誉。

来到金山岭长城山脚下，先和戚继光雕像合了个影，我便拉着妈妈迫不及待的向长城进发。长城高低起伏、曲折蜿蜒。刚开始，我还拉着妈妈兴冲冲的向上攀登，可是没过多久，我便被热情的太阳公公晒得满头大汗，双腿酸酸的，我一屁股坐在了台阶上，双腿发软，浑身无力。经过一段时间的休息。体力稍有恢复，就继续前行。就这样走走停停，好多次我都想放弃，但妈妈说：什么事情都需要坚持，古人能在这样险峻的高山上建筑长城，我们这点困难算什么。就这样在妈妈的鼓励下，我又坚持继续攀登。我边攀登边想：我光是踏着古人建好的台阶攀登就这么累，古代没有各式各样的大型的机械，这山又这么陡峭，古代的人们是怎样在严寒和酷暑下，把一块块大石头搬上这陡峭而险峻的山上的，又是怎样把它们搭建起来，真是难以想象，这是他们的坚持吧!才有了今天这宏伟壮观的万里长城。这也是古代人们智慧的结晶，他们知道用高高的长城来抵挡外来者的入侵。我真是由衷的敬佩古代的人们。于是，每次在我想放弃时，我都会想到古代建造长城的人们，我就会更加坚定要攀登上去。

经过努力，我和妈妈终于攀登到了索道区，坐在阴凉的索道车上，十分舒服。欣赏着下面的美丽风景和身旁宏伟壮丽的万里长城，我想起刚刚付出的汗水和努力，在看看眼前的美景。我终于明白了坚持的重要性，有付出，就会有收获。

这次攀登长城，我收获很多：我佩服古代人的智慧。亲眼目睹了长城的宏伟壮丽。更佩服古人的坚持，明白了坚持的重要性，坚持一定会成功的!凡事贵在坚持。
