吃完香喷喷的饺子，我就跟着爸爸妈妈去邻居家拜年了，每到一个邻居家里，我都面带微笑地说：“爷爷、奶奶、叔叔、阿姨、新年好!”而他们会抓一大把糖放在我的手里，刚串了几家，我的兜就装不下了。

挨家挨户拜完年，我忍不住问妈妈：“过年为什么要拜年呢?”妈妈说：“拜年是中国民间的传统习俗，是人们辞旧迎新、相互表达美好祝愿的一种方式。在过去，晚辈给长辈拜年是要磕头的，现在大部分都改成鞠躬了。记得你小的时候，都是给爷爷奶奶磕头拜年的。”“真的吗?”我半信半疑地问，爸爸说：“是呀，你一听说给糖和压岁钱，头磕在地板上咚咚响，结果光要糖，不要钱，”我被爸爸说的咯咯直乐。

我说：“哦!我知道为什么给长辈拜年了，不过我认为拜年的形式不重要，重要的是拜年时要有一颗感恩的心、一颗孝心、一颗爱心、一颗真心。”妈妈摸着我的头高兴地夸我长大了!
