常常听专家们说：全球的气温在逐年的增高，海平面在逐年的上升，北极熊也在逐年的减少……当听到“北极熊因长期没有食物而被活活的饿死”这一消息时，我们有没有在深深地自责呢？当听到“北京、天津等地的空气污染程度在日益的加深”这一消息时，我们有没有开始反省呢？当见到一个个因环境恶变而罹患重疾甚至不治死亡时，我们有没有在追悔莫及呢？面对这一个个棘手的问题，我们不应一再地埋怨地球的残忍，我们也不应一再地躲避大自然对我们的呼唤，我们更不应一再地认为事不关己……

达尔文说得好：“只有服从大自然，才能战胜大自然。”我们是不是也该从现在开始服从大自然了呢？我们是不是不要再纸上谈兵了呢？我们是不是该付诸于行动了呢？环保，它是我们大家共同的责任，其实环保并不是很难，要难就难在我们的懒惰，要难就难在我们的自私，要难就难在我们的事不关己。

地球是生命的摇篮，是我们共有的家园。地球有水，空气和适宜的温度，有各种生物，成为适应人类生存和繁衍的环境。森林和自然界其他绿色植物，都是二氧气碳的消耗者生产者。通常一公顷阔叶林一天可以消耗1000千克的二氧化碳，排放出730千克的氧化。这对于保护空气的清新有着十分重要的意义。当雨季来临时，大雨倾盆。

有树木的地方，雨水首先落到树叶上，不会直接落到地面。树叶和枝条能够截住25%的雨水，使这部分雨水慢慢滴到地上。没有被树叶和枝条留住雨水，落到了森林中的枯枝叶上，这些枝叶像一层海绵铺在地面上，吸收了15%的雨水，还有35%的水渗到了土壤里，只有25%的水流出森林。地面上有森林，大雨时，就削减了水灾，我国一九九八年特大洪灾的原因是什么呢？森林减少是其中的一个主要原因。

水灾不仅给人们的生命财产带来了巨大损失，另一方面，它也造成了水土的流失，有人做过试验，得到一组数据，暴雨直接打在裸露的地面上，每公顷土地每年溅起的土壤是200吨；如果种上庄稼，则只能测起20吨；如果是草地，那就少得多，只能测起0.1吨，几乎溅不起土壤。从200吨减到0.1吨，这是多么大的差别。这组数据生动地表明了，土壤需要保护，而最好的保护伞是森林。

现在人们的生活水平提高了，用完就扔的习惯进入了人们的生活。扔，扔，扔，于是被扔掉的东西成了垃圾。把各种垃圾集中起来，其数量之大是令人难以想像的。

我国第一大城市上海，每日产生生活垃圾8000吨，建筑垃圾3000吨，工作废物22000吨。一年的垃圾堆积起来，按体积算，相当于360幢12层的高楼。人类的生存环境遭到破坏，日益恶化，大气、水、土壤被严重污染，自然界和生态平衡受到严重影响，自然资源也受到难以弥补的损失。环境的这些变化，都无一例外地威胁着人类的生存和发展。人类应该行动起来，保护环境，保持生态平衡，爱环保，一起来保护我们共有的家园。

到了下午，外语老师给我们介绍了两个人，一个是米丽，她打扮得像个小巫婆。还有一个是白比，他打扮得像个小博士。他俩拿出一大袋糖，洒了儿把，糖果像雨点一样地落下来，我们以闪电般地速度冲过去抢糖。

时光过得真快，一转眼就放学了，看着装得满满的口袋，我心想：这个万圣节可真开心啊!我最喜欢万圣节！
