我曾听爷爷讲起过他们过去的生活情形。我像听神话一样，简直不敢相信他所描述的一切。自从爷爷提出改革开放政策以来，我国的经济得到了突飞猛进的发展，人们的生活有了翻天覆地的变化。

以前，人们吃不饱，穿不暖。人们天不亮就起床，每天面朝黄土背朝天在地里干活，却无法改变饥寒交迫的命运。有多少人冻死、饿死。可如今，单单就老年人来说，他们每天不仅享受着儿女们无微不至的照顾，而且回家还为他们提供各种生活补贴和娱乐场所。每天清晨或黄昏，他们成群结群队在公园里唱歌、跳舞，过着充实而又快乐的生活，年轻人的生活更是五彩缤纷，幸福甜蜜。如今，我们使用的高科技的玩具真叫五花八门，眼花缭乱。比如电脑、自行车、滑板，溜冰鞋等等，数不胜数。小型玩具那就更多了，家里到处可见，随手可拿。

以前，人们衣衫褴褛，打着补丁，根本没有洗的衣服。而如今，人们一个个都穿得华贵得体，潇洒漂亮。我妈妈每次给我买衣服，总是一套套抱回家的。

乡村、街道、建筑全都变了。以前的乡村，到处都是泥泞不堪的小路，现在全是焕然一新的宽阔平坦的水泥路，以前老土的吊脚楼变成了小洋房。街道上歪七倒八的低矮的瓦房换成了整齐的金碧辉煌的高楼大厦；以前昏暗的煤油灯变成了明亮的节能灯；以前的人力车变成了小轿车……

我爸爸小的时候，每天上学要走三十多里路，一不小心，就会踩到稀泥里。学校建筑全是泥瓦房，只有一层楼，教室的地面也是坑坑洼洼的，连书桌都放不稳，要用石头塞。而如今呢，我们坐在宽敞明亮的的教室里，油光滑亮的书桌还可以上锁，电视、电脑设备齐全，课本是精装彩本，连用的笔都是水晶的。

啊！一切都变了！

我们生活在幸福的蜜罐里，我们被保护在花园里，我的生活充满朝气与阳光，我们的祖国在发展，在变化，在腾飞！

改革意味着飞跃，开放预示着富强，沐浴着改革的春风，只不过短短的几年时光，人们的生活水平得到了翻天覆地的变化。我的家乡也奇迹般地改变着。

昔日，我的家乡只不过是一个小地方。道路全部是水泥路，到处都是那种只有六七层楼的楼梯房，并且房间的面积非常小。在之前，我们家周围没有一个可以买日常生活用品以及其他物品的商店和菜市场。每次要买这些东西的时候，总是要一直沿着小区旁边的火车铁轨上走好长的路，才能到热闹的集市上去。

但是在改革开放的浪潮中，我的家乡居然变成了一个小城市。一个繁荣而昌盛，美丽而可爱的小城市。从前低矮、面积不大的老房子早已被新颖别致的高楼大厦取代了。当年的水泥路已经不见踪影，现在看到的是宽阔的高速公路纵横交错，四通八达。在平整、宽阔的柏油马路上，车辆穿梭来往、川流不息。道路两旁绿树成荫，人来人往。以前的楼梯现在变成了豪华的住宅跟电梯房，放眼望去，看到的是一栋栋一排排拔地而起的崭新的高楼大厦。

儿童游乐园里充满着欢乐声，彩灯喷泉装点得像仙境一样。只要你任意走进一家人的房子，家用电器一应俱全，如电视机、电冰箱、空调、手机等也得到了普及，不少人家还有私家轿车呢！大部分家庭还购置了电脑，用以浏览、查询资料和从事文化娱乐活动，给人们的生活带来了极大的方便和无穷的乐趣。商场、农贸市场的商品琳琅满目，应有尽有。

我爱我的家乡，我长大以后也要为祖国的建设添砖加瓦，做出应有的贡献，使我的家乡变的更加繁荣富强。我相信，在党的政策指导下，凭借着人民的勤劳与智慧，我的家乡将会变得更加繁荣，人们的生活也变得更加富裕而我们的祖国也将走向繁荣昌盛！

[以家乡的变化为题的作文

我的家乡在湖南，现在和以前相比，老家发生了翻天覆地地变化！

爸爸告诉我，以前我老家的水很黑，不能直接饮用，所以每天要到远远的杨梅山去挑水，一天几回！现在，通过改造，自来水有了，水很甜，我们不用出到城外去挑水了！

湖南老家以前没有车子，只能自己走路去上学，特别是遇到雨天，大多会迟到。现在，我们都能坐上车子去上学了，再不用担心迟到了。

记得小时候有一次，我爷爷生病了，因为那里没有医院和药店，我爷爷病死了。现在的老家有医院、有药店，许许多多的病人都能得到及时治疗，而且医生技术又好，人人健康！

我爱我的家乡，让我们一起努力吧，把家乡建设得更加美丽！
