The Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court, fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987, the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407, the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan, a suburb of Beijing. 去年暑假的一天，我们一家出发去了青岛。

到青岛的第二天，我们去了海边。那一刻，我们看到了无边无际的大海，我兴奋极了，立马跳下车，到海边捞海鱼。只过了一会儿，我就捞到了好几条海鱼。妈妈笑着说：“今天晚上就吃你捞的海鱼吧。”

我捞着捞着，又想坐潜水艇了。我问爸爸能不能坐潜水艇，爸爸答应了。我看到了潜水艇便提议来一次海底探险，大家都赞成。

乘着潜水艇来到海里，我们看到了各种各样的鱼。突然我发现了头上有灯笼一样的鱼，我问爸爸这是什么鱼，爸爸说：“这是灯笼鱼。”我听了微微一笑，好有趣的名字啊!

海底探险结束了，下一次我一定要带上笔和纸，把眼前的美景画了来。

On July 23rd my parents took me to Beijing. We stayed at YuTingqiao hotel. On the first day, we went to the Great Wall. The Great Wall is very long and old. It has millions of bricks. Each brick is very big and heavy. Lots of people from different countries like climbing the Great Wall. We felt very tired when we climbed to the top of the Great Wall.

暑假里，爸爸妈妈带我去青岛旅游。这可是我梦想要去的地方。

到了青岛，我们先去了宾馆，休息了一会儿之后，我迫不急待地赶往海边。宾馆离海边很近，我们散着步，就到了海边，我终于看到了一望无际的大海。海水很蓝，和蔚蓝的天空连接在一起，我都分不清哪是天哪是海了。我和爸爸、妈妈急忙脱下鞋，走在舒服的少滩上，捡了许多贝壳，大大小小，五彩缤纷。

第二天，我们去了青岛海洋世界。我看到有许多海洋里的动物，我还跟一只长21米、宽2米多的蓝鲸标本照相了。据说是它死了以后搁浅在海滩上，海洋世界里的工作人员发现它把它带回来，然后做成标本的。那里还有很多种我没见过的鱼和生物。

第三天的天气很热，我们去了海水浴场。海边有很多人，有的在休息，有的在海里游泳，还有的人在海边嬉戏。我也喊着要游泳，爸爸妈妈领我选了一泳衣和游泳圈，我们就下去游泳了。海浪真急呀，溅起了洁白的浪花。海浪一次次地抚摸着我的全身，把我推向岸边，我觉得这里很舒服，都不愿离开了。

我喜欢青岛，因为青岛有大海。

今天是8月1日，我要去日照、青岛了，我好开心。

在日照我要下海游泳了，我把游泳圈给吹的鼓起来，然后把游泳圈套在身上，我急冲冲的跑到了大海里，哈！顽皮的海浪又把我推到了沙滩上，我到深一点的地方去玩儿，海浪冲得我一摇一晃，真有趣儿！

在青岛我还去极地海洋世界了，这里还真是“海洋世界”啊！鱼儿多得数不清，珊瑚就像开在水中的鲜花。

让我难以忘怀的就是海豚表演了，只见海豚一下跳出两层楼高，用尾巴准确的拍打挂在半空中的球。这一幕我不会忘记。
