This holiday is my best busy holiday for I am learning English, computer and word and I fall in the weekend exam. I had always believed that men and women in our country were not only equal in social position but also in intelligence. I am often troubled by the question. Then I happened to got hold of a book about Madame Curie. I was deeply impressed by her strong will power. Madame Curie worked hard so she became a top student in her university. After graduation she became a well-known physicist and some years later she got the Nobel Prize. From then on, she became a great encouragement to me in my study. Where there is a will, there is a way. At last I became the top student in my class and got the first prize in the English and physics competitions. This made me fee certain that women are no less clever than men. Besides, I was also active in physical exercises. I joined the track and field team and took part in ping-pong competitions. I was really proud of myself for being the womens all-round champion in the sports meet of our college. This proved again that a girl can do just as well as a boy.As a matter of fact, many women in our country have proved that they can make just as great contributions to the four modernizations as men. For instance, Hua Yi, an expert of hovercrafts, and Xie Lijuan , the vice-mayoress of Shanghai are just two examples.

I firmly believe there will be more and more women writers, women scientists, and women enterprisers in our country. I hope I can become one of them in the near future.

1995 I went into taizhou junior middle school.Totally we had 7 classes,I was in class 4.The head-teacher of the class was a middle age woman.she was so strict with us.for example, i was catched when i ate a big rabbit sugar during class time,she asked me to buy that bland sugar one peice for everyone.in my opinion ,she hated everyting except study,everyweekend ,she asked us to study in school,sunday afternoon was just the free time for us.when she saw we played football,she must get the ball back to her office.someone who was to be in love was found by her,he would be punished just like a shit.luckyly,i was not found by her.i liked the girl who was my Elementary school schoolmate during my junior middle school.i didnt know she konwed or not.it ended when we graduated.but i liked to talk with others during class time,everytime i was found by her,she asked me to write 3000 words to explain why and how to do in future. nowadyas every time i remeber what happened in my junior middle school,i deeply appreciat her kindness.she is real a good teacher.

My junior middle school time has pasted ,but it will influece till the end of my life.

I went to beijing to play during last summer holiday.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China. It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in Beijing. It’s a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, I went to the countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. The trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.

We have lived in lida school for more than one year. i enjoy all the time here because it can bring me a lot of things such as feelings, knowledge and other things i need.

There are many trees and flowers around us. the trees are green all the year. when we sit in the classroom and look out of the windows, we can see a big tree shaking its strong arms to us. it is really wonderful.

In some ways, our thoughts are at large. perhaps it makes our brains creative. i believe that nothing can tie up my mind even it stands for authority. the free life is just like our school life.

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is coming. Its a traditional North

American holiday,and is a form of harvest festival. In the United States, the

fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving was about

the Pilgrims, the first settlers in America. They shared the first harvest with

the Indians and gave thanks.

Thanksgiving Day is usually a family day. People always celebrate with big

dinners and happy reunions. Pumpkin pie and Indian pudding are traditional

Thanksgiving desserts. Relatives from other cities, students who have been away

at school, and many other Americans travel a long distance to spend the holiday

at home.

On that day, Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed

during the year. And I am sure that we all must have a lot to be thankful for.

Maybe you would like to give thanks for being here with your family and for

being well,or give thanks for a healthy year, a good job,or thank your friends

for encouraging you when you are in dismay,etc.

Miss Hou is my university English teacher. Her English name is Jenny. She looks so weak that a strong wind may blow her away. She is not too tall, about 150cm. She is experiened of English teaching. She teaches me for three years.In the other word, she is the only English teacher during my high school study. She is special. She will show an English song to us before her class. A few days later, she will ask us to follow the singing on the tape. I can still remember some songs she taught us. It is strang that she looks so weak, but no one in my class will against her word. I think maybe is because her own personality.Everyone respects her. She is serious in work, so that our whole class’s English is good. Happily, she is our friend after class. 为期5天的军训生活快要结束了，我们都从一个个懵懂无知的少年，褪下了青涩的外壳。

这几天的时光，我们感到既漫长，又短暂，既充满艰辛，又充满了快乐，此时军训生活即将过去，我忽然发现，我感受更多的是留恋与不舍。

当时我上大学时南京是中国的四大火炉之一，那儿的天气似乎没有春天和秋天，一下子从冬的寒冷跳到夏的炙热。

一到夏天我们难得去学校的餐厅吃饭，因为排队、等待、实在太消耗人的体力，再加上天热本来就提不起什么味口。所以我们几个要好的总会买点小吃随便填饱一下肚子。至今还记得，学校旁边有个卖包子的店，天津狗不理包子，一块钱六个。我从来都是买菜馅的，从不吃豆沙的，因为我不喜欢。有时也会在这六个小包子的基础上添点其他的，凉皮。不知当时为什么要买凉皮吃，现在想想也没什么好吃的，辣得要死，对于喜欢吃甜食的无锡人来说，那是从来都不想吃的。也就是因为到了南京我也才练就了一点点会吃辣的本领。有时也会破费一次，吃一顿自已最喜欢吃的，鱼香肉丝盖浇饭，那美味我至今还记得。如果有机会的话，我还要去一饱口服。就是不知是否景物依旧，哪天有空我回到母校，还能找到我的鱼香肉丝盖浇吗？

有时也会跟好搭档商量好，买个西瓜，一人一半，坐在宿舍里吹着风扇慢慢挖着吃。有时也会拿包方便面来充饥。但我是及力反对吃方便的，一是没有营养，有致癌物质，二是我不喜欢吃。除非是我喜欢的，日清炒面，我就会免为其难。

回忆，我的大学生活，每一个细节都值得回忆！

When summer holiday comes, I always go back to my hometown and spend the time with my grandparents. I like the life there, it is so simple and happy. Living in the countryside, I feel the peace in my heart. It seems the days become longer. In the morning, I hear the cock make out the sound, as if it is singing, then I wake up. Hello everyone.Today Im glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh

experience in China Agriculture University.

First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have

experienced in high school.For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher

to wake me up on time.But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself

could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class.And then even

worse there would be nobody remind me except my teacher!So the differences are

everywhere and I could easily find them.The change of life is great and its

wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.

My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a

habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my

favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I

wish to win more competitions in my campus life.

Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced

teachers,also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that Ive

got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful

lives in our campus!

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11

oclock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next

I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on

playing till 2 oclock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day

of my winter vacation.

But I havent bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I

listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside

and snowy all the day. And I also meat some of my good friends during the

vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year

and play table tennis tegether. And I watched the spring festival party of the

CCTV in the last seconds of the 2004 year! I think this is the thing most people

of china doing at that time.

Thats all, all my dull, coldly and snowy winter vacation.

大学，多少学子向往的地方。大学生活，每一个高中生都梦寐以求的的想去体验一番。至少当时的我是这样。但是，说句实话，大学对那时的我来说只是一种想象中的美好，但究竟如何，我想现在的我才对他有一定的了解。

在大学，不会再有老师苦口婆心的教诲和防腐不知疲倦的讲解；不会有每天做不完的习题和试卷；也不会天天为了分数、名次而焦急、苦恼……在体验大学生活的这一个月中，有这样一件事让我印象比较深刻：在大学的第一堂课上，有两个女生迟到了几分钟，按照以前的习惯打报告进教室。但后来老师说：“在大学中，如果你上课迟到或者有事想要早退的话，你不用打报告，只需悄悄地从后门出入，不要影响大家就好……”在这以后，我也遇到过其他在高中甚至想都不敢想的事情。比如可以随时出入宿舍和校门，因需要完成某事要逃课等。

所以，我总结出：大学，是一个完全靠自觉的过程。如果高中的我们还是一只雏鸟，那么大学的我们可以说已经长大，远离了父母的庇护，远离了老师的督促，剩下的只有自己做自己的主人。

所以，现在的我们要自己管好自己，自己规划自己美好的大学生活，并自己保证今后能够笑着谈起自己的大学生活。

大学的第二个特点就是有更多的时间和空间，大学中绝不会有从早上5点出宿舍上课直到晚上10点才回去休息的情况；也不会因为喜欢看《红楼梦》但怕被老师发现而东躲西藏的事情，更重要的是，在大学里有各种各样的活动等着你去参加和体验，而这些在高中都被视为纯属浪费时间的事情。其实，从这些事情中我们也能学到许多知识——课本里并没有的知识，学到许多经验或是教训，学到大学的丰富多彩……

所以，我认为，比知识更重要的是能力，而能力地培养需要一个过程，大学则是这样一个很好的过程。

所以，我们需要抓住每一个机会，更好地锻炼自己、提高自己，在丰富自己大学生活的同时，为自己多赢得几笔生活的财富！

大学，还有不同以往的种种特点：

大学，可以打手机、用电脑的地方，我们可以不必再为老师要查电子产品而苦恼，甚至把手机藏在垃圾桶里或者天花板上天；

大学，除教室外你还可以去图书馆、参加社团活动等地方，我们也不必过每天除了书本就是习题的单调、乏味的生活；

大学，不必为出一趟校门而绞尽脑汁地编各种请假理由；

大学，不会因为和某个异性朋友多说几次话而被班主任老师请进办公室；

大学，……

大学生活和以往我们经历过的学习生活真的不同，它至少对现在的我来说包含这太多的意外和精彩。当然，大学生活对我们来说也有太多的诱惑，所以这也就需要我们以正确、积极的心态去面对，学会更好的地址诱惑。

Whatever we have undergone in our life, we shouldnt complain about it. We may get a lot or lose so much in our life journey, but keeping a positive attitude should always be together with us. Nothing can defeat us if we are confident and diligent. Just as saying goes, God is equal to everyone. As he closes the door, he will also open a window for us.

My Happy Times During Winter Vacation

I often go to see my grandma and grandpa during winter vacation. They are both seventy years old and live in the country happily. I can do many interesting things there. I am used to getting up early in the morning and breathing the fresh air in the countryside. After snow, I would like to skate and ski with my friends. When night comes, I am used to sitting by the fire and listening to grandma telling me many funny stories. And I tell her some new things happening in the city. When I have to go back, I am always reluctant to go. I really feel happy living in the country.

I am a sophmore of Nanchang University.Now i want to introduce to you guys about my university.It has a long history back to the fifties of last century.

As it locate far away from the city center ,the most prosperous place,you may think the traffic is totally unconvenient,then you are wrong,instead of unconvenient ,there are a lot of transportation tools that will take you to where you want to go at any time.when it going to say about facilities and faculites,i will say they are excellent and helpful.I cherish friendship and like to make as many friends as i can and i found out that the students there are have a heart of gold ,and are hospital.So,thats my university,it is not the best one but i still love it .I can foresee that i will enjoiy my life on campus from now.

林语堂说过：“我们智能上的趣味像一棵树那样生长着，或者像河水那样地流着。只要有适当的树液，树便会生长起来，只要泉中有新鲜的泉水涌出来，水便会流着。当水流碰到一个花岗岩石时，它便由岩石的旁边绕过；当水流碰到一片低注的溪谷时，它便在那边曲曲折折地流一会儿；当水流涌到一个深山的池塘时，它便恬然停驻在那边；当水流冲下急流时，它便向前涌去。这么一来，虽则它没有费什么力气，也没有一定的目标，可它终究有一天会达到大海。”他告诉我们，读书是要符合时间地点环境的。读书的艺术在于随胜，有那种心情的时候便拿起书来读。读书，只有出于自然才能彻底享受其中的乐趣。天气晴朗的日子里，抱着几本书，哲学、经济、诗歌、传记等，约上好友，来到河边草地，躺下，闲逸地拿起书来翻翻，兴起时和友人聊几句读书心得，休憩时看看蓝天白云。这便是陈继儒描写读书的情调“古人称书画为从笺软卷，故读书开卷以闲适为尚”。

在读书的过程中，我认为选择书籍是一件十分关键的事。多读一本没有价值的书就丧失了读一本有价值的书的时间和精力，所以必须慎重选择。走进一个图书馆，可以看到千本万木的书卷，但是其中真正能够称得上是“书”，值得去看的就不知道有没有十本百本了。只有真正适合你去读的书才能给予你较准确的知识，传播大学者治学的精神和方法，震撼你的心灵，促进你的思考。那该如何选书呢？各人有自己的方式。我看书先看文字，文字不好的就不读了，文字清楚思想才不会混乱。当然有些文字过于清楚的，内容又过于浅薄；有些文字不够清楚，内容却有深度，比如许多哲学著作就是如此。但以我现在的知识水平，要去读那些著作就有些费力了。若是仅仅看不懂倒还好，就怕把自己的思维搅混了，连以前有的一点浅薄认识也找不回来了。所以我选书的第一步依然是文字是否清楚。

选书最怕的是赶潮流。选书不比选衣，选衣赶潮流是时尚，选书赶潮流是傻子。当今的网络小说非常畅销，往往是街谈巷议，大家一窝蜂地去买；或是某某学生作家弃学从文，引得一干厌学的学生纷纷吹捧。这些个作者自身的文学修养也就是半桶水，加上这些读者的盲目去精取粗，也就不知利弊孰多孰少了。基本上那种所谓“人手一册”的书，我是绝对不会买的，当然有时借来当当“厕所文学”倒也不妨。往往在被忽略的角落里或许会有几本思想好文采佳的书。

选书最重要的是选适合自己的书。现在许多人选书一看新旧，非新书不看；二看名气，非近日广为宣传的书不看。弗朗茨曾说过“我从不读同时代作者的作品”。同时代作者作品中除了思想深邃、风格独特者外确没必要看。我总觉得这些所谓的青年或少年“文学家”多半是在发牢骚，无病呻吟。除了当时会产生一种“有同感”的想法，过后就什么也没留下了。

我最爱读的是古诗。要考验一木书是否是智慧之书，最可靠的试金石当然是时间。曾有一位老师说“现在那些所谓的文学作品，哪怕最好的，也可以在古文中找到相似的思想脉络”。古人的经典之作是经过时间的鉴定了，而今人的却有待考察。而在古文中，诗又是最耐读的。虽然诗极短，却常常一览不尽，使人百读不厌，是值得读的智慧之书。对于这些书自然是当反复诵读的。

读书是需要时间的，很多同学“忙”，忙交友，忙兼职，总是觉得没有时间读书。曾经我也因兼职等琐事耽误了读书，后来总是后海没有抓住读书的时机。毕业后就没有图书馆里众多书籍供我选择了，亦没有这么多时间来读书了，虽在工作之余能挤出些许时间，但终无学生时代的闲适心情。读书，还是得抓住时机。所以，在此敬告各位师弟师妹：切莫因琐事误了读书。

大学是每个学子心目中的“象牙塔”。在读高中期间，我也曾对大学有过幻想与憧憬，想象着我将要进入的大学是怎样的，想象着大学中会发生的事。大学，成为了我心中的一片圣土。

当我有幸迈入大学的门槛，却发现与其说大学是一片圣土，不如说是一个熔炉。大学校园融入了天南地北与社会方圆，其中有来自五湖四海的同学，有形形色色、丰富多采的活动，形成了独有的校园文化;大学校园融入了中学时代的纯真，更包罗了世间百态、人间万象。无论是社会上常见的琐事俗事，还是学校独有的趣闻逸事，都会时常呈现在你面前，关键就要看你怎样去感悟与理解。于是，有些人步入大学后成了“神雕侠侣”，有些人却“笑傲江湖”，而另一些人只能“侠客行”了。

在大学生活了一段时间，我发现这座“象牙塔”是有棱有角的，一不小心就有可能撞上。在中学时代，我们大多习惯于问老师该怎么做;但在大学，老师不会给你明确的答案，需要你自己去思考，去选择。举个例子，当你同时面临观摩全国英语演讲比赛和世界着名交响乐团的演奏时，你如何选择呢?对于我来说，我会选择去听演讲，因为我认为观摩演讲比赛带给我的收益更多。当然不同的人有不同的看问题的角度，不同的问题又有不同的处理方法。其实，学会如何去思考问题，如何在两难中取舍也应被视作大学课程之一，更是对自我的一种锻炼。

我的大学生涯即将过半，而我也渐渐明白大学其实是一个大舞台，一个属于你自己的舞台。在这里你既是导演又是主角，只要你敢于尝试，那么所有的聚光灯都会向你打来。而你要做的就是努力去演好你的角色，无论发生什么，相信自己，没错的!

We can find it in many aspects, such as low-carbon products, low-carbon consumption, and low-carbon travel and so on. Generally speaking, more and more people are advocating “low-carbon” lifestyle.

随着环境保护意识的传播，“低碳这个词在生活中变得很受欢迎。在许多方面都可以找到它，如低碳产品，低碳消费，低碳旅游等。总之，越来越多人提倡“低碳”生活方式。

As implied in the name, “low-carbon” lifestyle is a kind of new pattern of lifestyle which aims to lowering the carbon dioxide emission in living as much as possible. For example, some office workers are not proud of driving private cars from work to home any more but pride themselves on riding or taking public transportation. In addition, they advocate recycling water and saving energy as much as they can.

就像名字暗示的那样，“低碳”的生活方式，是一种旨在尽量降低生活中二氧化碳排放量的新型生活方式。例如，一些上班族不再以开私家车上班回家自豪，而是骑车或乘坐公共交通工具而感到骄傲。此外，他们提倡循环用水，尽可能多的节约能源。

As college students, we also make some contribution in our daily life to reduce the emission of the carbon dioxide. For example, switch off the light when leaving and save water. In addition, we should use our knowledge and action to arouse others’ concern about the importance of lowering emission of carbon dioxide and lead them to lead a “low-carbon” life.

作为大学生，在日常生活中我们也做了一些贡献来减少二氧化碳的排放。例如，在离开的时候关灯，节约用水。而且，我们应该利用我们的知识，采取行动来引起别人对降低二氧化碳排放的重要性的关注并引导他们过“低碳生活”。

Winter holiday is coming. I am so excited.

In this winter holiday, I am going to take a trip with my parents by plane.We are going to Beijing. Then, I am going to go ice skating there. I am going to see the snow. I will play with the snow. I am going to make a snowman with my sister. Then we are going to visit the Great wall. At last, we are going to go back home by plane.

That will be fun in the winter holiday! I can’t wait!
