When memory began for me, my grandfather was past sixty-a great tall man

with thick hair becoming gray. He had black eyes and a straight nose which ended

Tom is my best friend. Who is he? He is a dog. He is a special dog. My

father give him to me at my 10 year birthday. The moment I saw him, I love him.

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome,

but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in

our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at

The Ten-minute Break Between Classes Time seems to be so limited for us Senior Three students. As a result, more and more students try to study from early morning till late afternoon, even during the ten-minute breaks. In my view, taking a ten minute break between classes is equally important. Otherwise, we will feel exhausted both physically and mentally,During the ten minute break, we are supposed to do something really relaxing, we need is to have a rest, instead of getting more tired. Besides, studying during the break doesn ’ t necessarily mean that you will achieve more. So doing nothing tiring in that short period is of greater significance. As far as my ten-minute breaks are concerned, sometimes I take some simple exercise, such as having a walk with my classmates, or just a free chat to refresh myself. The Huang Mountain is a place of interest. here are lots of tourists seeing sights every day. Years ago, some of them paid no attention to environment protection. They threw about waste paper, plastic bags and tins. Besides, they killed animals, caught birds, destroyed trees and flowers. Worse still,

they often made a fire to cook in the forest. That was dangerous. Changes have taken place now. When tourists leave, they take away rubbish with them. They no longer hunt animals. With the rapid development of the society, people can live a better life in

general. So because of the improvement of people’ s living standard, more and

more people own cars. Traffic jam comes to life. While people in order to be

punctual, they often ignore the cars crossing on the road. This behavior will

easily bring traffic accidens. On the other hand, the car owner also want to be

on time and then regardlss the traffic rules, which is also easy to have traffic

accidents. Both the driver and people themseves’ behaviour leads to accidents.

Those accidents may take people’s lives away. It’s so terrible. Therefore, for

the sake of life, the driver and the pedestrian should obey the traffic

regulation as we have only one life.

One way to get around in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai is to take a

taxi, but it’s too expensive. Many people like to go out by subway or light

rail. They are very fast and convenient. Now they are becoming more and more

popular. Buses are cheap, but they are very slow in rush hours.

If you want to see a city well, you can go out by bike. However, most

people prefer to get around in a downtown area on foot, because it’s good for

health.

It has been two years since I first got to university. Some of my

classmates say that the college life is boring, because they have plenty of time

but do not know what to do. However, from my point of view, the campus life in

college is interesting and colorful as long as you make it meaningful.

In the first semester in college, I didnt relax and I still worked hard as

I was in the senior school. I usually spent two hours in study at night and I

went to the classroom forautonomous learning.But the difference is that I have

many extracurricular activities. For example, I went to the English Corner
