我清楚地记得：在拉丁美洲的巴拉那河上，有一条瀑布——塞特凯达斯瀑布。它曾经是世界上流量最大的瀑布，汹涌的河水从悬崖上咆哮而下，滔滔不绝，一泻千里。但是，近几年瀑布周围的许多工厂毫无节制地用水，浪费了大量的水资源。沿河两岸的森林被乱砍滥伐，造成了水土大量流失。大瀑布的水量因此逐年减少。几年过去了，赛特凯达斯瀑布逐渐枯竭，科学家们预测，过不了多久，瀑布将完全消失。1986年9月巴西总统菲格雷特亲自主持了葬礼，哀悼赛特凯达斯瀑布。

这件事是我在一本书上发现的，我可不希望这种悲剧再次重演。怀着紧张的心情来到了黄河边，眼前的景象让我惊呆了，黄河上漂浮着各种垃圾：饮料瓶、塑料袋、香蕉皮应有尽有，并伴随着恶臭，这里简直不亚于一座垃圾场了，那这水还能喝吗？

我猛然惊醒，原来这是一场梦呀！保护环境，人人有责！让我们行动起来，让地球恢复生机勃勃的景象吧！千万不要让赛特凯达斯瀑布的悲剧在黄河上重演。

看着现在的地球，我不禁想问：“现在的地球怎么了?从前那个披着绿色的外套的地球到哪去了?”地球上的绿色大量的减少，森林大量的减少;黄色却不断的增多，土地也开始大面积的沙漠化。 Looking at the current earth, I cant help but want to ask, "What happened to the earth now? Where did the earth wearing a green jacket go?" On the earth? "A large number of greens are reduced, a large number of forests are reduced; yellow is continuously increased, and land has begun to have a large area of desertification.

再看一看热闹的都市，垃圾遍地，空气中布满了细菌。一条条曾经清澈的小河也已不复存在，现在的小河，不知布满了多少垃圾，s甚至还有人把工业废水倒进了河中，现在的小河，河面上飘满了白色垃圾，原本清澈的水已经变成了污水，散发出阵阵恶臭，过往的行人都捂着鼻子逃开了。试想，在这样的水中，鱼儿怎么还能生活?人怎么还能喝这样的污水?

现在的工厂，只为了提高自己的效率，只为了让自己获益更大，几把工业废水排到了小河中，把毒气当普通烟雾一样，从烟囱排了出去，要知道，这些毒气不被人吸进去，就会污染大面积的空气，被人吸进去则会严重影响人的肺功能，使人呼吸困难。可以说是两者都有害。

森林，地球的肺，为人类带来的好处不计其数：防洪、放沙暴、过滤空气等等等等，数不胜数。可现在呢?森林正在以每分钟38公顷的速度大面积减少，没有了森林，我们的地球就好象少了一根支柱，地球就好象开始摇摇欲坠起来。

面对这样的地球，我们能怎么做?我们应该怎么做?

首先应该从根本上做起，从我们力所能及的事情做起：节约用水，争取少污染水，拒绝食用野生动物……如果说全国每个人在每次用水后都关上水龙头，那么，一天下来，我们可以省19个水缸的水。如果我们多用肥皂，少用洗洁精，有许许多多的水避免受到污染。我曾见过这样一条宣传标语：利用可再生资源—别等到能源耗竭的那一天!的确，人类目前使用的能源90%是石油、天然气和煤。

这些燃料的形成过程需要亿万年，是不可再生的资源。太阳能、风能、潮汐能、地热能则是可再生的，被称为可再生能源。人们把那些不污染环境的能源称为“清洁能源”。使用清洁能源就能避免污染了。像今年国家很提倡的“支持绿色照明——人人都用节能灯”就是一个很好的例子：“中国绿色照明工程”是我国节能重点之一。按照该工程实施计划，“九五”期间全国将推广节能高效照明灯具。到2000年争取节约照明用电220亿千瓦时，并节省相应的电厂燃煤，减少二氧化硫、氮氧化物、粉尘、灰渣及二氧化碳的排放。

诸如此类，像这样的事我们还能做很多，就让我们一起为环保努力吧!

Dear headmasters,teachers,classmates and friends:

I’m very proud that I have chosen to speak to you all today, I’m a bit nervous as I’ve never made a speech before to so many people ,so please forgive me if it shows.

As we all know,the environmemt around us is getting worse and worse .In some places we can’t see fish swimming in the river or trees on the hills. Some people even have no clean water to drink. So I think we must do something to protect the environment. .But what can we do? How to protect our environmemt ?For example ,we can go to school on foot or by bike . we can use shopping basskets not plastic bags .when we go shopping and we can use both sides of the paper when we write .In a word ,if everyone pays more attention to our environment ,there will be less pollution and our life will be better.

“There is only one earth”,I hope everyone will protect our environment well. Thanks!

[英语作文保护环境人人有责

有一种爱在亲人之间，就像父爱、母爱，还有长辈们的爱；有一种爱在朋友之间，就像同学之间的友爱；还有一种爱源于我们内心，对祖国的爱，对未来的爱，我想说的是，对环境的爱。

今天，我参加了杭州志愿者的美丽杭州志愿服务队的一次美丽西湖的活动，主题就是保护环境，从我做起，捡垃圾，助力环保，美丽杭州。

早早的，我便来到了我们的集合地点，位于美丽的西子湖畔的柳浪闻莺公园，远远的就看见，已经有很多来自四面八方的小朋友聚集在一起，他们戴着红帽子，穿着象征美丽志愿者的红马甲，很快我也融入了他们。

在志愿者老师的指导下，我们带上了手套，拿起了垃圾袋，开始了我们的美丽西湖的环保行动，我们要用自己的行动将西湖“打扫”的更洁净，更美丽。

很快西湖边的小树下、花丛中、草坪上、房屋边就被一顶顶流动的红帽子装饰了起来，果皮、纸屑、瓜子壳、塑料袋、可乐罐、饮料瓶，各种垃圾，大家都抢着往自己随身带的环保袋子里放，一路上，所到之处，一尘不染，十分干净，许多游人看见了我们的行为，原本要丢下的垃圾也主动的放进我们的垃圾袋，或者找到垃圾桶放进去了。还有些游客也开始自发的捡起了垃圾，我们的队伍更加壮大了。

志愿队伍中，我还偶遇了我的同学沈誓南、陈睿阳，正好今天也是陈睿阳的生日，我想他的这个生日应该是最有意义的了。

这是一次非常有意义的活动，我决定我要拥有一颗保护环境的心，以身作则，不乱扔垃圾，养成良好的卫生习惯和健康的生活方式。我会经常参加美丽杭州志愿者服务，通过小小的一次付出，可以使西湖更美，就可以影响身边的人一起来爱护环境，增加环保意识，就能使杭州更美丽，多好。保护环境，从我做起。

I am a student in Huaxing Middle School. Do you know the plastic bags? Do you often use the plastic bags? I don’t like them. I think they use the wasting valuable oil their production. And they can’t decompose(分解) in a short time. The plastic bags will make our world worse. I agree with the rule, which people can’t get the free plastic bags in the shops, supermarkets. It encourages people to use their cloth bags and baskets. It’s good for our environment.

So I hope all the students in our class stop to use the plastic bags, and use our own cloth bags. I hope we can take care of our environment.

Let’s make our world more and more beautiful.

保护环境，人人有责。每个人都想有美好的生活，美好的环境。那就从身边做起，从自己做起吧!

我是一名平凡的小学生。我没有什么豪言，也没有什么壮语，我只是有一颗想唤醒人类保护环境的心。

在远古时代，地球上生机盎然，草木繁盛、花朵娇媚、百兽狂奔、鸟儿高飞、鱼儿欢游。人类大家庭幸福的生活着。可现在，很难听到鸟语，很难闻到花香。臭气熏天，河水干涸，满地的垃圾，废弃的食品，让地球开始哭泣。全球变暖，亚马逊热带雨林即将被吞噬，生物濒临灭绝，冰川融化，海洋污染，这无不是工业发展带给人类地球的“馈赠”。

人与自然的关系是人类始终面临和解决的问题。当今，人与自然环境的关系出现了紧张和对立，整个生态系统不断受到破坏。由此，必须是要建立人与自然和谐与共得新文明。

为保障人与自然的和谐，保护生态平衡，除经济和法律手段外，还必须依靠道德的力量。建立适应生态环境的道德规范，有利于形成人们坚定的内心信念，形成强大的社会舆论压力。

鸟类、森林等在向我们不停地呼救。森林被人们乱砍滥伐，大量破坏，现在森林正在面临大量减少;鸟类被人们大量捕杀食用，导致许多鸟类灭绝。环境在遭到人们的破坏，氧气减少;物种灭绝，水土流失等。地球这一系列的问题都是谁引起的呢?是的，是我们人类引起的。要想环境好，我们小学生要先从讲卫生开始。

讲卫生并没有那么难，我们只要弯下腰，地面就干净了。卫生是靠大家的，环境也是靠大家的，只要你我动动手，美好的环境，美好的生活就会向你招手。

如果人人都是在美好的环境中成长，就会感到十分地幸福，如果是在污染的环境中成长，就会被病魔缠在身上，十分地痛苦、难受。所以，我们要讲卫生，保护环境，爱护环境，才能让我们的生活更加美满，更加幸福!

“保护环境，从我做起”现在的公园，广场，学校等公共场所都有这样的标语，但是文化水平如此之高的现代人似乎都是文盲，大部分的人，都对这样的标语视而不见。

公园里，到处都是各种各样的包装袋，本是供人们修闲散步的小树林也是“缺胳膊少腿”的，更可恶的是在铺满鹅卵石的小路上，竟然布满了瓜子壳儿，湖里的水也不在碧绿，鱼儿也不见了踪影，取而代之的是矿泉水的塑料瓶在散发着恶臭的湖水上飘荡……

这，难道就是人类口中的幸福生活吗？

春天来了，天气暖洋洋的，两只小燕子从南方飞回来了。飞着飞着，突然一阵烟雾飘来，弄得小燕子给黑煤球似的，小燕子屏住呼吸，终于飞出来了。它想去小河边洗个澡，但是一到那，就失望了，小河以前是干干净净的，不过现在变得污浊不堪，臭气熏天。小燕子伤心地哭了起来。

一条小鱼关切地问：“燕子姐姐，你怎么泪流满面呀？”燕子擦干眼泪说：“去年这里还空气清新，小河清澈明亮。现在却变成了垃圾场，这是怎么回事？”小鱼叹了口气，说：“小河旁边建了几座工厂，人类乱排放污气、污水，所以就变成这样了。”

“原来是这样呀，那你们肯定受了很多苦吧？”燕子担心地问。“是呀，人类为了方便，把垃圾随便扔到河里，有时候砸到我们，弄得我们青一块，紫一块，害得我的兄弟姐妹都死了。”小鱼伤心地说。

听完他们的对话，我鼻子酸酸的。抬头望着这灰蒙蒙的天空，远处几个大烟筒高高耸立着，时不时的往外冒着黑色东西。小树在风中摇摆着身体，好像在向我诉说着这里的一切。我低头看到了路边的垃圾，顺手捡起来，扔到了垃圾筒里。

我虽然现在是名小学生，但我明白：我们应该保护环境、爱护环境。让我们从小做起，从现在做起。
