可是，就是因为我从小有这样的心理，加上学校一个星期才两节英语课，我的英语只能勉强及格。自从转学后，我意识到了一些学英语的重要性，但是我并没有完全领悟，为什么中国人要学英语？我的语文和数学成绩在班上也算是优秀的，但是因为每次英语只有60到70分，庆幸的时候也就是80分左右，但是同学们的成绩，四分之一都是80分以上，虽然人数很少，就因为这样，我的英语成绩远远落后于一些同学，每次总分加起来，我顶多也是个第二名，这让我特别恼火，我没有去好好学习英语，而是更加厌烦英语，对于英语，只能用一个字形容——烦！

每个人的手是不同的，我的妈妈是一名工人，她有一双砂纸一样的手。

我小的时候， 妈妈的手本来很小巧白皙，十个手指很纤细，手背上纹路很细，透过浅薄的皮肤可以看见几根血管的轮廓，。但由于常年搞维修和干家务，手变得很粗糙，每根手指变得很粗 ，每根指关节侧面都有一个疙瘩，手掌面中心有许多软茧，妈妈的右手中指关节更是严重变形，常常伸不直，更让我心疼的是妈妈的手常有小伤疤，经常这个伤疤好了，另一个伤疤又出现了。

记得上二年级时，一天晚上，大姨来到我们家，给我们送来了一只宰杀好的鸡，妈妈还没下班，大姨与姥爷说了一会话，妈妈还没回来，大姨只好先走了，晚上很晚，妈妈疲惫不堪地回来了，看到鸡，又拎着鸡去了厨房，说是把鸡剁了，明天早上炖出来，怕明天单位活多中午炖鸡来不及，我心里流过一阵阵暖流：多好的妈妈，这么累了还得备饭，结果妈妈那天实在太累了加上厨房光线不如白天明亮，妈妈不小心剁着了自己的手，把食指指甲削去一块，鲜血直流。看见妈妈匆匆包扎了一下继续剁鸡，心里很不是滋味，我来到妈妈跟前，对妈妈说：“大不了我不吃鸡了，睡觉吧”妈妈冲我笑笑说：“你先睡吧，妈妈一会就睡”我难过地点点头，又心疼地看了看妈妈那双受伤的手，睡觉了，可不知怎么躺在床上的我怎么也睡不着，眼前总是浮现妈妈剁鸡的身影和那受伤的手……接下来的几天，妈妈继续用受伤的手为我洗衣做饭，更让我心庝不已。

我经常便秘，妈妈看了医书，总在早晨醒来时，帮我按摩小腹，每当她的手帮我按摩时，我总觉得那哪里是手，分明是粗砂纸嘛，我总是不耐烦的推开她的手，而她，歉疚的冲我笑笑说：“妈妈的手太粗糙了，你还是自己按摩吧。”

妈妈的手，虽然普通，算不上灵巧，却含着浓浓的亲情，和对我深深的爱。

You want to know the changes about my hometown。 You know， great changes

have taken place since 60 years ago。

In the past， the living conditions were very poor。 There were not many

buses or cars， and the roads were narrow。 Usually， a big family was crowed into

a small， dark house。 Most families couldn’t get enough food。 The communications

were simple and slow。 People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far

away mainly by letter or telegram。

Thanks to the government， our hometown has developed rapidly in recent

years。 The living conditions are much better and more comfortable。 The roads are

wide。 Some people have their own cars。 Most of the people have lived in big new

houses。 Quite a few adults have mobile phones。 Because of many good policies， I

think our lives will become better and better。

It was a hot day during my summer holidays in 2003. My mother and I got on the bus which would take us to the village where my grandma lived. It was so hot that I felt very thirsty. Then I began to think of the sweet big watermelons and other fruits in Grandma’s house. I could hardly wait to arrive there and see my grandma.

It took us one more hour to get there. When we walked into the house, Grandma was busy preparing lunch in the kitchen. It seemed that she was very glad to see us, which I knew from the big smile on her wrinkled face. She brought out a big watermelon and cut it. It was so nice to eat the watermelon on such a hot day.

After lunch my mother fell asleep and I asked my grandma to tell me a fairy tale. We sat on the bed and she began to tell it. I listened to her quietly. It was not long before I fell asleep, too. I was dreaming when a terrible voice woke me up. I saw Grandma was lying on the ground with blood streaming down from her mouth. I couldn’t believe my eyes. How fearful a sight it was! I hurried to wake my mother up. We took her to the hospital in a hurry. But it was too late to save her. My beloved grandma’s heart stopped beating when we got to the hospital. You’ll never imagine how sad we felt then.    Grandpa was very well all the time. I had never imagined that she would leave us so soon. That evening I lay in bed alone. My eyes were full of tears. I prayed and prayed, wishing she would be ableto come back.

Now four years have passed. My dear grandma, where are you? I miss you so much.

妈妈的周末是忙碌的。除了去菜市场批量采购下一周的食材，晴好的天气必然会屋里屋外清扫一番，容不得一丝邋遢，这不，今天我家阳台又是星罗棋布了：床单、被子、席子、毛巾、日常换洗的衣服……本就不大的阳台根本就容不下这么多东西，好在这些老房子一楼家家都盖了院子，妈妈找人做了一副梯子，只需翻过自家防盗网的预留门从梯子下去，一楼院子屋顶就成了我家的天然晒场。夏天是个多变的季节，刚才还烈日炎炎，转眼就乌云密布——狂风大作——电闪雷鸣——眼看一场大雨就要来临了。妈妈扔下手中的拖把冲向阳台，还急忙招呼我在阳台里接应，战斗持续十多分钟，终于在大雨来临前把所有晾晒的衣物都抢收回来了。“不好！”就在妈妈凯旋踏入自家阳台时，突然发现同一楼层最东面人家的棉被、衣服还在外面，妈妈转身又下了阳台。我朝窗外看去，豆大的雨滴已经落下来了，妈妈正扶着防盗网小心翼翼地挨家院子平台走向东头（这些院子本来就是违章建筑，因为是单位的房改房，也就没人管理，所有院子建的各有千秋，高低不平，加上妈妈这些年体态发福不再矫健，我在阳台上看得心一阵阵发紧……），东头人家的阳台正好没封闭，妈妈抽了一根竹篙架在阳台内侧的栏杆上，接着把被子、衣服一一搭到竹篙上。等妈妈掉头往回走时，雨已经倾泻而下，我在阳台里迎接一脸汗水一身雨水的妈妈，一个让我又敬又惊的妈妈。

都说严父慈母，我家正好相反，爸爸一天到晚忙工作，难得在家休息，自然对我呵护有加，妈妈家里家外一把手，还是个急性子，绝对说一不二。今天我又碰钉子了：妈妈给我布置一篇命题作文，我急着想玩草草了事，结果被妈妈劈头盖脸教训了一顿还要重写，无奈脑子短路，再来一遍效果还是不行，妈妈给我点评时看我一脸茫然，急得上火，干脆打开电脑自己给我写范文……摊上一个能文能武的妈妈，我只好“投降”了。

妈妈如此强悍，就连单位的员工对她也敬畏三分。周末在家，妈妈一早起来带我出去买菜，路上接到个电话，把我带着掉头就往单位赶。到了那里我才知道是妈妈单位的几个员工加班出了意外，虽然处理及时，还是有一个员工脸部留下了星星点点的烫印。“你们的防护面罩为什么没戴！硫酸的中和操作重复了多少年还犯低级错误！能把水往酸里倒吗？！下班后把事故报告写给我！”妈妈对带班的叔叔吼起来，转身又骂受伤的员工：“你一个老师傅，关键时候不带头遵守操作规范，不想好了？！马上到医院清创处理，小汪开车送去！”一阵暴风雨般的数落后，我被妈妈安排在办公室看书，妈妈则守在车间监督员工作业。看着妈妈回到办公室疲惫的样子，我忍不住问：“妈妈，你这不是行政管理部办公室吗？生产跟你有什么关系？”“生产部负责的叔叔休假了，他家离得远，所以我就得赶过来帮忙处理一下，安全生产关系企业的生存和员工的生命健康，哪能分得清该不该管呢？你还是要好好学习，刚才他们操作过程的知识就来自初中化学，学不好就不能做得好，行行如此。”三句不离本行，爱管闲事的妈妈教本主义又来了……我还是老老实实地看书吧。

若说妈妈是汉子，似乎又有点冤枉。妈妈闲来无事喜欢上网或上街购物，还经常和她的Q友们讨论穿衣经，爸爸偶尔给她浇一下冷水：“不是衣服不好看，是你没把衣服穿好看。”妈妈一脸不屑：“你管好看不好看，我只要穿的自信满满就行！”看妈妈对衣服的追求如此痴迷，与天下爱美女性有何不同？依此看来，妈妈还不能算汉子，充其量只是个女汉子！

就这样一个妈妈，即使她没有温婉如水、美丽可亲，我还是爱我的妈妈，她雷厉风行，可敬可畏！

learning is a daily experience and a lifetime mission. this is a proverb full of logic. in other words, learning is significant in our whole life. indeed, we can learn many things from it. if you understand it and apply it to your study or work, you’ll necessarily benefit a lot from it.

there are many reasons which can explain this phenomenon and the following are the typical ones. the first reason is that learning can light our road in the coming future. there is no denying the fact that the society is developing increasingly fast and we are often easily surpassed by the people around. the only way to avoid this is to learn to improve ourselves. as an illustration, i’d like to take myself as an example. after graduation from college, my life has been full of working pressure, which contributes to my decision of pursuing further education. that’s why i can make my own way in such a competitive society.

the effect of learning can be boiled down to two major ones. first, with the spirit of learning, we are more capable of overcoming the difficulties in the future. more importantly, we can enrich our spare time life by learning. no matter who you are, you must remember that learning is the basic skill in our life.
