There were few people on the earth， and natural resources seemed to be

unlimited。

Today things are different。 The world has bee too crowded。 We are using up

our natural resources，and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals。 If

we continue to do this， human life on earth will not survive。

We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be

none left。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We

我有一只小乌龟，我给它取了一个非常不好听的名字叫臭虫，它是我和妈妈去市场买菜的时候看到的，我非常的喜欢，妈妈就给我买下了。

臭虫非常的可爱，它有一个椭圆形的头，没有耳朵，但是它有一双又圆又小的眼睛。它的鼻子特别的小，几乎看不见。它的嘴巴有点尖，它一张嘴里根本看不见牙齿。

Many people believe so. They may put right in front of you all the

evidences they can dig out. They may argue that people are rushing to

restaurants instead of cooking at home, listening to pop music but not

traditional, wearing in a way people couldnt imagine ten years ago. Modern

people like the air of freedom, not to be restrained by traditions. They offer

this long list, only trying to confirm that this world is full of

fashion,competition and temptation and the traditional culture is fading and

will be lost at last.

Though we are now living in a world in which undeclared aggression, war,

hypocrisy, chicanery, anarchy are part of our daily life. Though this is a

skeptical age, and our faith has weakened, our confidence in some aspects of the

traditional culture should and would never be lost.

Wouldnt you agree that our traditional culture is always credited with

modesty, politeness and respectfulness, which have always been treasured for

more than five thousand years?Even in this modern world, people still admire

those with good manners, those who are polite to others or respectful to old

小乌龟背着美丽花纹的硬壳，它的脑袋上有两颗圆圆的黑色的小眼睛，就像两颗黑珠子。眼睛下面是尖尖的鼻子，可洋气了。最下面就是它的小嘴巴，别看它嘴巴特别小，里面有锋利的牙齿呢!小乌龟的壳下面是它的四肢，长着锋利的爪子，平时挖洞、抓食物全都靠着它们。小乌龟的身体后面有一条小尾巴，短短的，像一枚钉子。

平时，我把它养在一个大桶里，桶里一半是沙子，一半是水，我发现小乌龟在沙子上爬得很慢，在水里游得却非常快，能很好的用四肢来控制方向。有时候，我觉得它在这么潮湿的地方一点都不好，我就把它拿出去晒太阳，可是我一把它放在地上，它就爬得飞快，这是为什么呢?后来才知道，太阳把地面晒得很热，小乌龟可能觉得这里太热了，想快一点离开吧。还有一次，我吃完晚饭，拿着一块跟指甲盖差不多大的肉去喂乌龟，乌龟很想吃我手里的肉，就跟着我，我想逗它玩玩，就假装不给它，乌龟还是跟着我，可是后来乌龟生气了，当我转身想摸它的时候，它狠狠地咬了我一口，我痛得哇哇大哭。

We all like to make friends, because no one can survive without a friend. If you ask someone how many friends do they have, most will answer a lot. Indeed, we make friends in different stage, even we are old, we still make friends. On March 8th, 1975, the United Nation started to celebrate the

International Women’s Day. In China, the women’s day also called “March 8th”day.

Why we celebrate women’s day? There is a long story.

On March 8th, 1909, the Women’s Union of Chicago demonstrated against the

inequality between men and women. They demanded that they should have the same

payments, the same working hours as men had, and they should have the rights to

vote. They even put forward a slogan: Bread and Rose, which stood for equal

payment and a better living standard. This demonstrated had caused international

attention to the women’s rights. A year later, a critical meeting was held in

Demark, in order to promote the women’s liberation and equal rights, the council

members decided to establish the Women’s Day on March 8th. Then March 8th, 1911

just became the first Women’s day.

In our country, during the women’s day, the women usually have a day-off

holiday. The communities or companies will organize the recreational activities

such as a spring outing, a nice dinner and some extra welfare. On this special

day, the women can really realize that a woman’s value is not only giving birth

to a child, doing endless housework, but also find her own status in the modern

society. That is she can make a different. She can do everything that a man can

do. When you look around, you will find that more and more women are acting as

妙妙是我的骄傲，也是我的“编外”好朋友。在我心情不好时，它会静静地陪在我身边，像是给我安慰和鼓励。

临近艺术节了，我正在练习要参赛的曲目，妙妙安静地趴在我的脚边听着，时不时还随着旋律摇摇尾巴。可总有句歌词总是唱得不够好，一直在卡壳儿，越练越沮丧的我一屁股坐在沙发上，不想再练了。妙妙见我不唱了，似乎知道我的心思，跳上沙发，把两只前爪搭在我的腿上，抬着脑袋眼巴巴地望着我，摇着尾巴。我觉得它似乎在安慰我，鼓励我别放弃，继续努力练习。渐渐地，我的心情平复了，又开始认真地练了起来……

比赛前一天，我紧张的不行，但却装作很自然的样子，对张天乙说：“老大啊！明天我就比赛了。”张天乙仍然不改她那副样子，说：“比就比呗！怎么了？”我苦恼地对她说：“老大啊！我400米跑不下来呀！如果我跑完后虚脱了，你一定要去看我啊！”张天乙说：“你这家伙，怎么自己诅咒自己呢？再说了，你跑步那么快，怎么能跑不下来呢？你可是我们班唯一一个田径队的啊！”我想，张天乙，你真不愧是我的死党，你的话让我有了自信心；你的话让我不再害怕明天的比赛；你的话让我镇定下来，发挥出自己的水平，没必要拿第一、第几的，自己努力就行了。

跑400米时，我跑了300多米就没劲了，想走过去。但我一想这是比赛，又想到张天乙和为我喊加油的同学和老师，便坚持了下来。张天乙，你是我永远永远的朋友，最好的朋友。

我有三个动物朋友，它们有坚硬的外壳，墨绿色的皮肤，还有黑宝石般的眼睛。你们猜猜它们是谁，没错，就是乌龟!

其中一只是大龟，两只小龟，大龟是在超市的水产区买来的，售货员还问我要不要杀了，我吓出一身冷汗，赶紧说不用。为了大龟能有个好家，我让爸爸在网上买了个龟屋，寄过来的时候，发现里面还有两只小龟，真是惊喜!

刚买来时正是冬天，三只龟每天都一动不动，应该是在冬眠，以此来降低体能的消耗。现在天气热了，它们仨就开始各种活动，各种吃喝拉撒。

它们平常以饲料为主食，偶尔可以给它们吃一些青菜，最好不要给它们吃金鱼的饲料，不然它们的壳就会变得难看。

我的乌龟从来不嫌饲料多，反而嫌饲料少。只要饲料被吃完了，可是它们还没吃饱时，它们就会伸长头颈，左顾右盼，似乎在找人为他添饲料。

要吃饭时，你最好给它们饲料后马上离开。不然它们会直勾勾的盯着你，似乎在说：“快走，我要吃饭!”

这三只乌龟给我带来了许多乐趣!
