现在，人们的口中都讨论着“低碳”、“环保”，可是又有多少人在行动呢?

我走在夏日的街上，感到异常炎热，不仅是阳光的灼热，更多的，是那滚滚的空调排放出的热气。听着那嗡嗡的空调运转声，感受着灼人的热气，我不禁摇了摇头。

据科学家分析，太阳黑子每11年会变得活跃，而地球上的气温便会升高。今年，是太阳黑子活跃的一年，天气会异常的炎热。可是，我认为，现在的极端炎热天气与人类过度使用空调密切相关。

在夏日，空调为人们带来凉爽，但同时，也使我们的环境发生变化——空调排风散热器产生的大量浊气——氟里昂会破坏大气臭氧层，更会导致周边环境的恶化。不仅如此，大气层遭破坏，阳光、紫外线更强烈地射到人们身上，会导致皮肤病。所以，欧洲委员会发布了一条新规定，呼吁进一步限制或控制含氟的使用。

其实，不仅仅是空调排放的浊气会破坏环境，汽车尾气等也会。不仅是大气污染，还有水质污染、固体废物污染、噪声污染、过度开发、利用资源这五大类环境问题，都是最主要最恶劣的问题。想到这儿，我疑惑了，难道这些灾难都是人类一手造成的吗?现在看来，不可质疑。

我扭头看看周围的环境，绿色越来越少，取而代之的，是一幢幢高楼大厦。昔日瓦蓝的天空不见了，变成了灰蒙蒙的一片。我还记得有一天，我来到花园散步。一个小男孩惊讶地望着在城市少有的，瓦蓝的天，感到非常不可思议。是啊，如今，环境、空气被污染后，老天爷总是板着脸儿，人们也都萎靡不振。对于这样的天空，人们只能够期待未来。

面对环境的一天天恶化，我感到痛心疾首。我想：作为祖国的栋梁，我们如果不认识到环保的重要性，那么我们的家园将毁在我们自己手上。

所以，我下定决心要环保，要保护我们的地球母亲!

我在课外时间去宣传、讲解环保知识;去教给社区老人垃圾分类;去餐厅提议少用一次性用品;去郊外种树……这些微不足道的事情，是我惟一能为环保所做的。

环保，是一种理念，更是一种责任，需要我们每一个人去承担。尽管这只是一些微乎其微的小事，但只要我们怀着一颗责任心去对待环保，我相信，未来的天一定是瓦蓝瓦蓝的，未来的水一定是清澈的，未来的气候，一定是四季如春。

When I was very small, I lived in my hometown. My grandparents raised two

dogs, and I liked them very much. I watched them grow up from the little animals

to the big dogs. Every time when I leaved home for school, they would follow me

for some distance. When I walked a little far away, they would turn home. When I

went home after school, they would wait for me in the door and swayed their

tails. I knew they were welcoming me home. They were like my family members and

I learned that animals are part of our nature. We should protect them. We can

create a harmonious society.

Smoking And Health

Today smoking is a widespread habit ali over the world. Not only the old,

the youth, but also middle school students have been engaged in smoking. Many of

them think that smoking is a smart symbol.

However, smoking is harmful to one’s ,health. It contributes a lot of lung

cancer, from which many people have died in the past years. It can also cause

many other diseases. In a word, if you smoke, you do have a much greater chance

of losing your health. Furthermore, scientific research shows that smoking is

not only harmful to smokers themselves, but also a threat to public health,

especially to women and children. Therefore, many countries have made laws

forbidding smokers to smoke m public places such as cinemas, stations,

hospitals, and so on Giveup smoking! If you don’t smoke, don’t start. Give

upsmoking for the sake of your health, for the sake of your family, and for the

sake of the whole world.

吸烟与健康

现在，吸烟是一个世界范围的习惯，不仅老年人、青年人吸烟，就连中学生也加入到这个行列中来，他们中的许多人认为吸烟是一种潇洒的象征。

然而，吸烟对人的健康是有害的，它会引起肺癌，在刚刚过去的几年中;许多人因此而丧命，还可能引发其他的疾病。总之，如果你吸烟的话，你就很可能失去拥有健康的机会，更进一步说，科学研究显示，吸烟不仅危害吸烟者本人，而且对公共健康来说，也是一个凶兆，尤其是对妇女和孩子。因此，许多国家都制定了不准在公共场合吸烟的法规，例如：电影院，车站，医院等地。

戒烟吧，如果你还未染上，请不要开始;戒烟吧，为了你的健康，为了你的家庭的健康，为了整个世界的健康。

It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.

Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. But I do not think that this argument is valid. After all, what is the point of economic growth if peoples lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution ?

不可否认环境恶化已成为当今世界最大的问题。土地资源在不断减少,因为水土流失。废气污染着我们呼吸的空气。河流和湖泊被工厂的 倒出来的废弃物所污染。这可以毫不夸张地说,环境质量的恶化威胁着人类的生存。

有些人认为环境问题是我们因为经济发展而必须要付出的代价。但我不认为这种观点是有效的。毕竟,经济增长的重点是什么?如果人们的生活环境被日益恶化、被严重污染了，那还有什么意义?

The environment has been polluted badly today and the nature punishes the

human being by all kinds of disasters, such as the heavy haze in Beijing, which

damages people’s health. World Environment Day is on June 5th. It pays attention

to call for the public to make an effort to bring the world a clean

environment.

Look at the pollution around us, which exists everywhere. The cars release

the gas which pollutes the air and the rubbish can be found in every corner of

the street. All of these daily incidents hurts the world we live. Especially the

factories, they release the heavy smoke and make the sky becomes dark. What’s

more, the wasted water flows to the clean river.

Though the government has made some action to punish the businessmen for

releasing the polluted sources, they still dare to take the risk of earning the

biggest profit. If we hurt the environment, it will hurt ourselves, because we

live together. The polluted environment threatens our health. If we want to live

the comfortable life, then the only way is to be nice to the environment.
