My winter vacation

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 oclock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 oclock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.

But I havent bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. And I also meat some of my good friends during the vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether. I have a big family, there are seven people in my family, my mon, dad, two grandpas, two grandmas and me. My dad is soldier, he works in police station. My mom works in the bank, she is an accountant. They both are very busy in working, I can only play with them in the weekend. My grandpas and grandmas dont work for company, but they are volunteers and often take me to do the voluntary labor.

I am in Grade three in Yuanling elementary school, my mom always tells me I am a good girl and should study hard and get along well with all my classmates.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on

the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival， everyone in the family

will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front

of the house.

On the evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away

from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner， people will

light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with

their own toy lanterns happily.

At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon

while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can

look back on the past and look forward to the future together. It is said that

there was a dragon in the sky. The dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. To

protect the frighten the dragon away.

Those who live in cities around the world are likely going to have similar

experiences about living and the associated challenges regardless of their

location on the globe. Most of these challenges revolve around stress which

studies have shown is a part of living. Regardless of what you do and your

profession and place stress is not avoidable but could be minimized. Those who

see stress as an enemy will probably live an irritable life which is quite

How then do we cope with stress? I am going to give you tips that have

helped and are still helping me in coping with life in the city of Lagos

This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

来到我的房间，首先映入眼帘的是一个非常非常大的书桌，它是书架和书桌二合一的，书架的第一层第二层放着一些我的辅导书，第三层放着一些零零碎碎的小东西：积分卡、水彩笔、巧克力…在书桌靠近窗户的地方，摆了我的计时器，还有蓝牙耳机……把窗帘一拉，就能看到浩瀚的宇宙，天花板上悬挂着一个飞机吊灯。在书桌的旁边还有一个书架，放的都是我的课外书，它的样子像一艘船，书本们当上了小乘客。如果你问什么东西最好玩，那就要数我的大玩具柜了，玩具柜一共有三层，里面有赛尔号卡、乐高玩具、橡筋动力飞机……当然，还有我最爱的UFO模型“千年”号，它是用乐高拼成的，它几乎占霸了一整层！

再来看看我的床，它是一个双层床，靠近我的UFO壁纸和宇宙星座壁纸之间一层是一个很干净的大床，上面放了小黄人、派大星、熊本熊……，通过一层至二层的攀爬架，可以看见第二层和第一层截然不同：上面的被子没有叠起来，上面还有一些书杂乱无章的摆放在上面，我最喜欢睡在这里因为我是“徜徉”在书海中的，我也很喜欢看书，我喜欢睡觉前看会书，然后甜蜜的进入梦乡。

这就是我的房间，一个炫酷、蔚蓝的房间。
