Myhometownlies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of

China is to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have

lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near

the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all

over the world.

There are about 800 people in our village. A pond, teeming with fish, lies

in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It

was in this pond that I spent the happiest days of my childhood.

To the north of our village are great fields. When spring comes, the crops

peasants start to harvest them.

So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi . My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine s day, April Fool s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. Talk about Dragon boat festival, it s the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witch s Day in Czech. People burned the witch s puppet so as to welcome spring. First, it is a physical exercise to ride a bicycle. In contrast, sitting in the

car, one tends to gain weight. Besides, it is nmch more economical to ride a

This holiday is busy and happy.

This holiday is very busy. I need to do homework, review the contents of

last semester, prepare for next semesters contents, take notes, and attend

classes, and...

The vacation homework is at least two weeks to finish and a lot of

The Ten-minute Break Between Classes Time seems to be so limited for us Senior Three students. in our society while others argue that fast food is harmful to our health. As

far as I am concerned, fast food is necessary but not a must in our lives.

On the one hand, fast food is necessary in our today’s society. Although

fast food is not as nutritious as home-made food, it is a good replacement when

we are in hurry and have no enough time to prepare food by ourselves. It can

help us to save much time. In addition, fast food is cheaper but various and we

can taste different kinds of food by using less money.

On the other hand, however, fast food is not a must. Fast food can be used

to replace our home-made food sometimes, but we should not eat it very often.

Compared with home-made food, the nutrition provided by fast food is far less.
