In china,people regard Spring Festival as the most important thing.People studied and worked throughout the year.No matter how far and how busy, they must do their best to go back home.Thats a tradition and now becoming a habit. During this time,transport is extremely busy.Although the way is difficult,it cant reduce the urgent feeling of going home.I cant describe this feeling,only the people that experienced it can understand.Actually,on one hand,people miss their family,and they need to get comfort in the family.On the other hand,getting together is a symbol of blessedness and auspiciousness.People in other country dont have this consciousness that going home is necessary.For example,American could celebrate the Christmas in everywhere they like or with anybody.This diversity is occasioned by different culture between two countries.

On Spring festivals eve,the whole family prepare the dinner.Of course,dumplings is essential.In the

evening,family members always sit at the television and watch Spring Festival Gala.At 0:00,people set off firecrackers and fireworks,at the same time,children pay New Year,s call to old people.The old people give money to the children as a lunar new year gift.Usually,people stay up late or all night.

On lunar New Years Day, the Chinese family eat vegetarian dumplings which imply they will plain and neat in this year. To tell you the truth, I dont like the Spring Festival at all. When I was young I liked it very much,because I could had something tasty to eat during the Spring Festival,and I could enjoy very wonderful TV programmes,too,I also could had much free time during which I could did something I liked to do. I dont like it now, there are many reasons.

Firstly, I cant have a good time during the Festival. Every New Years Eve something unpleasant often happens. Once I quarreled with my second brother.

Secondly, I cant relax myself during the Festival. I have to do many things, watch so many TV programmes, meet so many people,all these things make me very tired.

Thirdly, spending one Spring Festival means that I become one year older, I dont like to be old. I want to live longer and be young all the time.

A new year ，a new start，when I stand on the edge of a new year，I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

羊可启发智慧。据《战国策·楚策四》载，楚怀王听信张仪花言巧语，入秦而被囚禁。襄王即位，不思进取。良臣庄辛进言而不纳，便避走于赵。不久，郢都被秦所据。襄王悔，寻见庄辛。庄辛用“亡羊补牢，未为迟也”来鼓励襄王应重整旗鼓，卷土重来。用于此处，既通俗易懂，又言简意赅。

羊可象征安泰。古语有“三羊开泰”之说。考“三羊开泰”本应作“三阳开泰”，最早出自《易经》。《易经》以十一月为复卦，一阳生于下;十二月为临卦，二阳生于下;正月为泰卦，三阳生于下。指冬去春来，阴消阳长，是吉利之象征。对“三阳开泰”的另一种解释为：11月冬至日的白昼最短，其后则白昼渐长。古人以为此乃阴气渐去而阳气始生，所以称冬至一阳生，12月二阳生，正月三阳开泰。因此，旧时常用作新年起始的祝愿之辞。而 “羊”与“阳”同音，久之便讹为“三羊开泰”。后人附会出“三只大角羊聚立于一处”之特定造型，成为妇孺皆知的吉亨之象。

羊可体现正义，因羊在古人心目中拥有的正直、美好形象，久之便将其神话为正义的象征。据王充《论衡·是应》，唐尧之臣皋陶治狱，辅以独角之羊。此羊对嫌犯“有罪则触。无罪则不触”，极为灵验。至战国时，秦楚等国御史、狱吏等执法者皆着带有独角神羊图案之冠服，以示庄严神圣。此独角羊名“獬豸”，作为秉公执法的象征，其形象一直用作历代执法者官服图案，直至清末。

羊性素喜清洁。羊愿居于干燥整洁之处，饥餐青草，渴饮清泉，洁身自好，远离污秽。不像某些畜类，终日嬉戏于泥淖之中，饮溺餐矢，藏污纳垢，顾盼自得，不以为耻。

羊虽娴静优雅，人见人爱，却亦小有缺憾，即反抗性差，斗争精神欠缺。即使是被宰杀，亦只低吟一声，便引颈就戮。颇不似猪，虽不能逃命，却愿引吭高“歌”，尽其所能，声嘶力竭，气冲霄汉。猪羊相异至此，其中必有缘由。据民间传说，猪、羊皆因被人宰杀而心中不平，且萌生与上帝(老天爷)讨还公道之念。羊动作轻盈，脚下生风，先得接见。上帝听罢莞尔笑曰：“猪羊猪羊你莫怪，你是人间一道菜。尔等终日无所事事，专靠人类饲养，却不许人类食尔等之肉，则要尔等何用?尔等应予理解。回去转告胖猪先生，其应泰然处之，不必再劳前来。”羊闻此言，虽仍感悲哀，但思来想去，却觉合乎情理。无可奈何之余，只得打道回府。遇胖猪于途中，只见其气喘吁吁，步履维艰。羊将上帝之言转达。猪心中忿忿，仍觉不公。羊将其强拉硬拽，拖回住所。此后，羊面对屠刀只有叹息;而猪因思想不通，便大喊大叫，直至气绝。

或许是受源远流长、家喻户晓的生肖文化之影响，国人中对羊年持偏见者颇不乏其人，认为羊年生子命运不佳，以致马年之尾，产妇云集;更有甚者，竟不惜提前剖腹，以避其子生于羊年之“厄运”。此举不仅从科学角度而言毫无根据，且就文化传统而论亦属无稽。另一方面，似羊固然不甚惬意，似马亦好不了许多。其实，如此为避羊年而提前剖腹之流，才真正是自寻烦恼、自交“厄运”之辈。

属羊之人普遍温顺、善解人意，十羊九富，衣食无忧，总能受到他人的照顾和辅助。而且每个人的命运不单生肖就能决定。都应好好教育子女，使其优秀有品德。

春节传说

熬年守岁

守岁，就是在旧年的最后一天夜里不睡觉，熬夜迎接新一年的到来的习俗，也叫除夕守岁，俗名“熬年”。探究这个习俗的来历，在民间流传着一个有趣的故事：太古时期，有一种凶猛的怪兽，散居在深山密林中，人们管它们叫“年”。它的形貌狰狞，生性凶残，专食飞禽走兽、鳞介虫豸，一天换一种口味，从磕头虫一直吃到大活人，让人谈“年”色变。后来，人们慢慢掌握了“年”的活动规律，它是每隔三百六十五天窜到人群聚居的地方尝一次口鲜，而且出没的时间都是在天黑以后，等到鸡鸣破晓，它们便返回山林中去了。算准了“年”肆虐的日期，百姓们便把这可怕的一夜视为关口来煞，称作“年关”，并且想出了一整套过年关的办法：每到这一天晚上，每家每户都提前做好晚饭，熄火净灶，再把鸡圈牛栏全部拴牢，把宅院的前后门都封住，躲在屋里吃“年夜饭”，由于这顿晚餐具有凶吉未卜的意味，所以置办得很丰盛，除了要全家老小围在一起用餐表示和睦团圆外，还须在吃饭前先供祭祖先，祈求祖先的神灵保佑，平安地度过这一夜，吃过晚饭后，谁都不敢睡觉，挤坐在一起闲聊壮胆。就逐渐形成了除夕熬年守岁的习惯。

守岁习俗兴起于南北朝，梁朝的不少文人都有守岁的诗文。“一夜连双岁，五更分二年。”人们点起蜡烛或油灯，这种风俗被人们流传至今。

万年历法说

相传在古时候，有个名叫万年的青年，看到当时节令很乱，就有了想把节令定准的打算，但是苦于找不到计算时间的方法。一天，他上山砍柴累了，坐在树阴下休息，树影的移动启发了他，他设计了一个测日影计天时的晷仪，测定一天的时间，后来，山崖上的滴泉启发了他的灵感，他又动手做了一个五层漏壶，来计算时间。天长日久，他发现每隔三百六十多天，四季就轮回一次，天时的长短就重复一遍。当时的国君叫祖乙，也常为天气风云的不测感到苦恼。万年知道后，就带着日晷和漏壶去见皇上，对祖乙讲清了日月运行的道理。祖乙听后龙颜大悦，感到有道理。于是把万年留下，在天坛前修建日月阁，筑起日晷台和漏壶亭。并希望能测准日月规律，推算出准确的晨夕时间，创建历法，为天下的黎民百姓造福。有一次，祖

知道万年创建历法已成，亲自登上日月阁看望万年。万年指着天象，对祖乙说：“正是十二个月满，旧岁已完，新春复始，祈请国君定个节吧”。据说这就是春节的来历。冬去春来，年复一年，万年经过长期观察，精心推算，制定出了准确的太阳历，当他把太阳历呈奉给继任的国君时，已是满面银须。国君深为感动，为纪念万年的功绩，便将太阳历命名为“万年历”，封万年为日月寿星。以后，人们在过年时挂上寿星图，据说就是为了纪念德高望重的万年。

贴春联门神

贴春联的习俗，大约始于一千多年前的后蜀时期，是有史为证的。根据《玉烛宝典》，《燕京岁时记》等著作记载，春联原始形式就是人们所说的“桃符”。

在中国古代神话中，相传有一个鬼域的世界，当中有座山，山上有一棵覆盖三千里的大桃树，树梢上有一只金鸡。每当清晨金鸡长鸣的时候，夜晚出去游荡的鬼魂必赶回鬼域。鬼域的大门坐落在桃树的东北，门边站着两个神人，名叫神荼、郁垒。如果鬼魂在夜间干了伤天害理的事情，神荼、郁垒就会立即发现并将它捉住，用芒苇做的绳子把它捆起来，送去喂虎。因而天下的鬼都畏惧神荼、郁垒。于是民间就用桃木刻成他们的模样，放在自家门口，以避邪防害。后来，人们干脆在桃木板上刻上神荼、郁垒的名字，认为这样做同样可以镇邪去恶。这种桃木板后来就被叫做“桃符”。

到了宋代，人们便开始在桃木板上写对联，一则不失桃木镇邪的意义，二则表达自己美好心愿，三则装饰门户，以求美观。又在象征喜气吉祥的红纸上写对联，新春之际贴在门窗两边，用以表达人们祈求来年福运的美好心愿。为了祈求一家的福寿康宁，一些地方的人们还保留着贴门神的习惯。据说，大门上贴上两位门神，一切妖魔鬼怪都会望而生畏。人们所仰慕的捉鬼天师钟馗，即是此种奇形怪相。所以民间的门神永远都怒目圆睁，相貌狰狞，手里拿着各种传统的武器，随时准备同敢于上门来的鬼魅战斗。唐朝以后，除了以往的神荼、郁垒二将以外，人们又把秦叔宝和尉迟恭两位唐代武将当作门神。相传，唐太宗生病，听见门外鬼魅呼号，彻夜不得安宁。于是他让这两位将军手持武器立于门旁镇守，第二天夜里就再也没有鬼魅搔扰了。其后，唐太宗让人把这两位将军的形象画下来贴在门上，这一习俗开始在民间广为流传。由于我国民居的大门，通常都是两扇对开，所以门神总是成双成对。

桃符

宋代王安石在《元日》这首诗中写道：“千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”，形容初日的光亮。诗中的“桃”和“符”是互文，意即总把新桃符换下旧桃符—除旧布新。

关于桃符有个美丽的传说---很久以前，东海度朔山风景秀丽，山上有一片桃林，其中有一株桃树巨大无比，枝繁叶茂，曲蟠三千里，结的桃子又大又甜，人吃了这树上的桃子能变成神仙。

一个漆黑的夜晚，有青面獠牙、红发绿眼的鬼怪想偷吃仙桃。桃林主人神荼、郁垒二兄弟用桃枝打败鬼怪，并用草绳捆着喂了看山的老虎。从此，两兄弟的大名令鬼怪为之惧怕，他们死后变为专门惩治恶鬼的神仙。后世人们用一寸宽、七八寸长的桃木板画上神荼、郁垒两神仙像挂在自家门两侧，以驱鬼祛邪，这种桃木板被称作“桃符”。随着时代的变化，桃符本身也在变化，以后人们又将两个神仙的名字写在桃符上，代替画像，再后来，又发展到“题桃符”，即将字数相等、结构对称、意思相应的短诗题写在桃符上，这就是春联的前身。

贴春联、门神

春联，起源于桃符。"桃符"，周代悬挂在大门两旁的长方形桃木板。据《后汉书、礼仪志》说，桃符长六寸，宽三寸，桃木板上书"神荼"、"郁垒"二神。"正月一日，造桃符著户，名仙木，百鬼所畏。"所以，清代《燕京时岁记》上说："春联者，即桃符也。"

五代时，西蜀的宫廷里，有人在桃符上提写联语。据《宋史、蜀世家》说：后蜀主孟昶令学士章逊题桃木板，"以其非工，自命笔题云：新年纳余庆，嘉节号长春"，这便是我国的第一副春联。直到宋代，春联仍称"桃符"。王安石的诗中就有"千门万户幢幢日，总把新桃换旧符"之句。宋代，桃符由桃木板改为纸张，叫"春贴纸"。

明代，桃符才改称"春联"。明代陈云瞻《簪云楼杂话》中载："春联之设，自明太祖始。帝都金陵，除夕前忽传旨：公卿士庶家门口须加春联一幅帝微行时出现。"朱元璋不仅亲自微服出城，观赏笑乐，他还亲自题春联。他经过一户人家，见门上不曾贴春联，便去询问，知道这是一家阉猪的，还未请人代写。朱元璋就特地为那阉猪人写了"双手劈开生死路，一刀割断是非根"的春联。联意贴切、幽默。经明太祖这一提倡，此后春联便沿习成为习俗，一直流传至今。

新春伊始，第一件事便是贴门神、对联。每当大年三十日(或二十九)，家家户户都纷纷上街购买春联，有雅兴者自己也铺纸泼墨挥春，将宅子里里外外的门户装点一新。

门神，传说是能捉鬼的神茶郁垒。东汉应劭的《风俗通》 中引《黄帝书》说：上古的时候，有神萘郁垒俩兄弟，他们住在度朔山上。山上有一棵桃树，树荫如盖。每天早上，他们便在这树下检阅百鬼。如果有恶鬼为害人间，便将其绑了喂老虎。 后来，人们便用两块桃木板画上神茶、郁垒的画像，挂在门的两边用来驱鬼避邪。南朝·梁·宗憬《荆楚岁时记》中记载：正月一日，“造桃板着户，谓之仙木，绘二神贴户左右，左神萘，右郁垄，俗谓门神。”然而，真正史书记载的门神，却不是神茶、郁 垄，而是古代的一个勇士叫做成庆的。在班固的《汉书·广川 王传》中记载：广川王(去疾)的殿门上曾画有古勇士成庆的画像，短衣大裤长剑。到了唐代，门神的位置便被秦叔宝和尉迟敬德所取代。

《西游记》中叙述就更加详细于：径河龙王为了和一个算卜先生打赌，结果犯厂夭条，罪该问斩。玉帝任命魏征为监斩官。径河龙王为求活命，向唐太宗求情。太宗答应了，到了斩龙的那个时辰，便宣召魏征与之对奕。没想到魏征下着下着， 打了一个脯儿，就魂灵升天，将龙王斩了。龙王抱怨太宗言而无信，日夜在宫外呼号讨命。太宗告知群臣，大将秦叔宝贵道：愿同尉迟敬德戎装立门外以待。太宗应允。那一夜果然无事。太宗因不忍二将辛苦，遂命巧手丹青，画二将真容，贴于门上。后代人相沿下来，于是，这两员大将便成为千家万户的守门神了。在今天潮汕一些旧式门楼的两扇大门上，我们还可以见到神茶、郁垒或者两员雄赳赳的战将，形象似乎一样，但是仔细观察，其中一位手执钢鞭，另一位手执铁锏。执鞭者是尉迟敬德，执锏者是秦琼。

Very noisy at night, when the Spring Festival, people all want to shou sui, until 12 PM. Many people have put up a BaoZi 12 o clock, all the day light! We put out after the lightning gun just open the window, wow! Just like in the daytime! If we go on the way, dont light can see!

The twinkling of an eye, and then to go to school period, we want to go to school again, I really want to stay during the Spring Festival period!

按家乡的规矩，我们过春节要包饺子、吃年饭、贴对联等等习俗。春节是我国一个古老的节日，也是最重要的节日，所以我们每个人都要过春节。

春节来到，又是我们小孩子喜欢的节日咯!过春节又可以得到压岁钱了!得到了压岁钱，就可以去买东西啦!我到外面的小店里买来一大袋子鞭炮。一回到家我就拉着妈妈，让她陪我到楼下放炮子，刚到院子里我就开始点。听着鞭炮的响声，我的心立刻高兴极了!

炮子放完了，我就到家里和奶奶一起去包饺子。我看着一个个可爱的饺子，我高兴极了!

春节时，晚上热闹极了，人们都要守岁，熬到12点。许多人12点都放起了炮子，都把天照亮了!我们放完了电光炮后就打开窗子，哇!就像在白天一样!如果我们在路上走，不用点灯就可以看见了!

转眼间，又到了上学时期了，我们又要去上学啦，我还真留恋春节时期呢!

We had chicken, duck, fish, pork and such as. And we ate dumplings and watch the Spring Festival party on television. During Spring Festival,my parents gave us lucky money. I and my sisters played the fireworks in the open air. We had many fireworks. They were very beautiful. They run into the sky and broke into pieces. They looked like flowers in the sky. We were very happy and excited. After that, I made a wish. I hoped that that we could have a happy and healthy life next year and everyone in my family could be happy.

During the Spring Festival, we visited relatives and friends with the words “Wish you happiness and prosperity in the coming year!”

Nian Gao:The northerners eat Jiao Zi, but southerners like to eat Nian Gao, which translates to "New Year Cake". In Chinese, Gao is a homonym for high. Nian Gao is also called Nian Nian Gao, which is a homonym for "higher each year", symbolizing progress and promotion at work and in daily life and improvement in life year by year.

Nian Gao is a sweet, sticky, brown cake made from rice flour and sugar, a kind of glutinous white cake in the shape of rectangle. Often given as a gift, it is delicious when steamed, fried, fried with eggs or even eaten cold.
