泛泛的祝贺一下，说几句刺旧迎新的吉利语，写一点闹春怀旧的文章，早就没了那份雅兴。像节目主持人一般，说说今年的大事，感慨今昔，畅想未来，不过是赢得捧场而恭维的掌声。或许我们的期望太高，春节不过是一年365天里平平常常的一天，我们对它注入了太多的文化内涵和商业炒作，因而显得格外沉重。其实，我们不如以一颗平常心戴之，抑制那份期望和躁动。在吃、喝、说、笑、探亲访友的方式外获得一些不易觉察的满足。

在逝去的三百六十五个充满风霜雨雪的日子里，我们奋斗过，进取过，成功过，也失败过。我们的欢笑和失落，迷茫和困惑，都成了无比美好的回忆。正如普希金的诗中所说：“而那过去的，都会染上莫名的相思。”不是吗?

时光在匆匆流逝，在不知不觉中我又长大了一岁，想起以前自己过的第一个春节，每一件趣事，让我觉得趣味十足。今年的春节有没有令我惊喜的事呢?

每个人过年都要有许多习俗：贴春联、贴窗花、倒贴福字等等。我家也不例外。我和爸爸一手拿胶布，一手拿春联，我们先把春联的四角和中间粘上胶，然后把上面两角对齐，再把中间和下面粘在门上，春联贴好了。我们又以飞快的速度贴上了窗花和福字，倒贴福字的意思是福“到”了，福气永无尽头。

一到了晚上就鞭炮声响的震耳欲聋。麻雷也咚咚上了天，好像闷雷滚动一般。在这里我来告诉你们一些放炮的警示语：严禁室内燃放，严禁高层燃放，严禁未成年人，老年人燃放。当我们放完炮回家时，一进家门时，一种香气扑面而来，桌子上已经放满了鱼肉、牛肉、鸡肉羊肉、猪肉，鱼肉象征着‘年年有余’羊、牛、猪、鸡表示着四禽。春节联欢晚会也十分精彩，我们看着春晚，吃着鲜美的饭菜。不一会儿到了辞旧迎新之际，天上立刻变得五颜六色。饺子也下锅了，这时的饺子也叫团圆饺子，象征着团团圆圆。

原野中白雪皑皑，雪早已停了，天也快黑了，家家户户都已新桃换了旧符——过年了。

小时候，最盼望的就是过年，不为别的，因为只有在那天才可以痛痛快快地放烟花，也只有春节，我们一大家老老少少才会聚在一起。大人们喝酒聊天，谈论这一年的大事小事，我们小孩子很快地吃一些喝一些之后，便玩得不亦乐乎，追着，笑着，叫着。在大人们的腿边，桌子边转来转去，这时，大人们便会说，“吵死了，都出去闹去。”我们便笑着一阵风似的跑出去，放烟火、打雪仗。

我至今还清楚地记得第一次放烟花的情景。

那时我胆子特小，可还特别想玩。我拿着打火机，慢慢弯下腰，小心翼翼地靠近烟花的引线，紧张地几次都没打着火，我的一个哥哥在边上直说，“让我来”，我又怕又不舍，拿着烟花的姐姐也说“别急别急”，我又一次摁动打火机，急忙靠近导线后，转身就跑，还差点滑倒，周围哥哥姐姐们哈哈大笑，我再回头一看，根本没点着。我红着脸，又气又恼地跑回去，对着导线使劲摁下打火机，“吱吱”火花欢快地叫着，点着了!姐姐把烟花塞到我手里，我赶紧把烟花举向空中，兴奋的手心直冒汗。不一会，就感觉手中的烟花棒抖动了一下，噗地一声，一个火星飞向空中，哗啦啦，在空中变成一个漂亮的花球，我们都叫了起来，噗地一声，又一个飞向空中。大家都点燃了手中的烟花，比赛着谁的烟花飞得高，谁的烟花更好看，欢声笑语伴着劈啪啪的烟花声响彻整个院子。

过年，自然不仅只放烟花，我会为吃到包有橘子的饺子而兴奋不已;为除夕夜的压岁红包眉开眼笑;为那天的春节晚会夜不能寐……

花开了几载，树木绿了几春，时隔多年，又是春节，街上人潮涌涌，热闹依旧，但是我的春节却因老家的拆迁而冷清了许多。大哥哥大姐姐们有的已结婚，忙着春节拜年，年岁相仿的小伙伴也因住得远而很难聚在一起。往年贴春联是一家贴完再贴另一家，几个小孩大年三十吃过午饭要热热闹闹忙一个下午，现在贴春联成了我的独角戏。烟花也还放，只是好像少了许多的激情，不知不觉中，年味淡了。

走在人潮中，感受春节的脚步，有的匆忙，那是在置办年货;有的悠闲，那是万事俱备，只等新年的钟声敲响。突然一个稚嫩的声音响起，“爸爸，快看，烟花，我要烟花!”我哑然一笑，小朋友雀跃的身影在我眼前飞舞，仿佛年少的我。我细看周围，每个人的脸上的喜悦、欢愉是那么的真切。年，何成有变?想到这，我的心头一热，加快了脚步，今年的春联还没贴呢。

Hello ！welcome to the special Chinese new years edition of discovering China. Im Alina Li and Im Ben Hedges, and today well be taking you through some of the most important traditions of Chinese new year and historical background. We will look at some of the legends behind Chinese new year and how to celebrate it. Here in the US and Chinese across the world.

The Chinese have specific way to celebrate their new year. If you walk down the street in Chinatown during Chinese New Year, you see a variety of ancient traditions such as red banners, firecrackers and lion dance performances, streets are filled with lively celebration.

However, legend has said that the new year has not always been a time of festivity. An Asian Chinese story told a chilly start to this festive holiday, it begins with an ancient Chinese beast called Nian.

Every New Year Nian would rise from swelling in the sea to ravage Chinese village in livestock and hurting people. The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.
